ABSTRACT

Aim: To search for novel modulators of glycogen metabolism through structural modifications of natural pentacyclic triterpenes. Methods: A series of N-heterocyclic derivatives were synthesized by fusing indole, qui-noxaline and pyrazine rings with A-ring of oleanolic and ursolic acids. The compounds were biologically evaluated for their inhibitory activity against rabbit muscle glycogen phosphorylase. Results and Conclusion: Twelve heter-ocyclic triterpene derivatives were synthesized and their structures were confirmed by IR, ~1H NMR, ~(13)C NMR and MS. Except for compound 12, all of the compounds exhibited glycogen phosphorylase inhibitory activity with IC_(50) values in the range of 14-252 μmol/L Among this series of compounds, compound 15 showed the best potency with IC_(50), of 14 μmol/L

ABSTRACT

Human serum albumin (HSA) is an important biological product in clinical pharmacy practice at present. Its main clinical use is in maintaining colloid osmotic pressure and increasing circulating plasma volume so as to cure hemorrhagic shock, burn, cancer, hypercytosis, hypoalbuminosis, etc. HSA is isolated by fractionating human plasma, which entails possible contamination by viruses or prions. Recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) has been successfully produced by biological engineering. The structural and functional properties of rHSA are similar to those of plasma derived human serum albumin (pdHSA). Preclinical and clinical trials have confirmed the safety and efficacy of using this rHSA preparation in the treatment of certain diseases.

ABSTRACT

With furthering of the education reform of high degree nursing profession, to explore the reform of the high degree nursing education is an inexorable trend of adapting to the development of modern society. The "BASIC of NURSING" is the basis of each of clinical nursing course; it provides the basic demand of nursing activity to meet patients and health people. To fit the nursing education demand of the new century, it is necessary to run the principle of holistic nursing through the teaching process, to improve the teaching methods, to add the new content of cultivating the nurses' quality and general ability in teaching, and to make students understand the value of their profession at all aspects, and raise the integral quality of the nursing team so as to meet the request of the new century.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To use qualitative and quantitative RP HPLC for the sepatation and determination of flavonoids found in the leaves of Acer truncatum bunge in spring, summer and autumn. METHODS: The determination of three kinds of flavonoid aglycones was carried out with Diamonsil TM C 18 column (4.6 mm?250 mm,5 ?m), using methanol water(1% acetic acid) as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min -1 and detected at the wavelength of 360 nm. RESULTS: The average recovery of quercetin was 100.4%, RSD =1.61%( n =5). The average recovery of kaempferol was 102.5%, RSD =1.77%( n=5 ). The average recovery of isorhamnetin was 102.3% , RSD =1.63%( n=5 ) CONCLUSION: Isorhamnetin and kaempferol in the leaves are reported here for the first time. The methods were simple, rapid and reliable and could be used to control the quality of the herbal medicines prepared from the leaves of Acer Truncatum Bunge.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To detect free and hydrolysable gallic acid in Acer Truncatum Bunge by HPLC. METHODS: A method for determining gallic acid in leaves of Acer Truncatum Bunge. The operating conditions HPLC were Diamonsil C_18 column(5 ?m,4.6 mm?250 mm) at room temperature,methanol-0.025 mol/L phosphoric acid solution(15∶85) as mobile phase at a flow of 1.0 mL/min and UV detection at 272 nm. RESULTS: The contents of free and hydrolysable gallic acid were 0.045% and 1.546%,repectively.The relative standard deviations of free and hydrolysable gallic acid were 1.06% and 2.43%,respectively. CONCLUSION: The contents of free and hydrolysable gallic acid in Acer Truncatum Bunge in different periods are different.
