ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the effect between autologous fascia and artificial duramater in duramatral neoplas ty.Methods A total of 140 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage who underwent craniotomy in Zhoukou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2014 to May 2017 were selected. The patients were divided into observation group (n =90) and control group (n =50) according to dural repair method. The autologous fascia was used to repair dura mater in the observation group, and the artificial duramater was used to repair dura mater in the control group. The Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score, activity of daily living(ADL) and the incidence of postoperative complication were compared between the two groups. Results The eusemia rate of ADL in the observation group and the control group was 98.89% (89/90) and 90% (45/50) respectively at three months after operation, the eusemia rate of ADL in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (x2 =6.191,P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in GCS score between the two groups before operation (t =2.362,P > 0.05),the GCS score at three months after operation were significantly higher than that before operation in the two groups (t =7.123,9.612;P < 0.05),the GCS score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group at three months after operation (t =5.710,P < 0.05).The incidence of postoperative cerebrospinal leak, incision infection, cenencephalocele and epilepsy was 1.11% (1/90),1.11% (1/90),2.22% (2/90) and 3.33% (3/90) respectively in the observation group;and the incidence of postoperative cerebrospinal leak, incision infection, cenencephalocele and epilepsy was 10.00% (5/50),8.00% (4/50),12.00% (6/50) and 14.00% (7/50) respectively in the control group;the incidence of postoperative cerebrospinal leak, incision infection, cenencephalocele and epilepsy in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (x2 =6.191,5.704,5.514,4.429;P < 0.05).Conclusion The autologous fascia is easy to suture, and there is no rejection reaction. It can significantly improve the prognosis of patients and reduce the incidence of complications in duramatral neoplasty.

ABSTRACT

A reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) assay was developed to rapidly detect foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype C (FMDV C). By testing 10-fold serial dilutions of FMDV C samples, sensitivity of the FMDV C RT-LAMP was found to be 10 times higher than that of conventional reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR). No cross-reactivity with A, Asia 1, or O FMDV or swine vesicular disease virus (SVDV) indicated that FMDV C RT-LAMP may be an exciting novel method for detecting FMDV C.

ABSTRACT

Nine primers were designed for the full-length genome of O/CHINA/99 and each sequence fragment was obtained by RT-PCR, and cloned into pOK12 vecter, the full-length genome cDNA clone of O/CHINA/99 was identified by restriction enzymes digestion, PCR, and the whole genome sequencing. The results showed that the O/CHINA/99 whole genome was formed with the length of 8200 nt. The nucleotide sequence of the full-length cDNA shared 99.1% homology with its prototype. RNA synthesized in vitro by means of a bacteriophage T7 promter inserted in front of the cDNA led to the production of infectious particle upon transfection of BHK-21 cell using lipofectamine reagent, as shown by cytopathic effects. The rescued virus had high pathogenicity in mice by endermic infection too. All the results showed that an infectious molecular clone was successfully constructed and rescued virus could be obtained.

ABSTRACT

Biodegradable PLGA [poly(lactide-co-glycolide acid)] have shown significant potential for sustained and targeted delivery of several pharmaceutical agents, including DNA. We reviewed the formulating approaches of PLGA nanoparticles/microspheres as DNA carriers and utilization for gene therapy and vaccine adjuvant.

ABSTRACT

This paper reviews the common approaches for B cell epitopes and T cell epitopes study in recent years, and its application in foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV)’s antigen epitope study. The development of antigen epitopes of FMDV are also summarized.

ABSTRACT

In order to isolate genes related with the osmoadaptation and glycerol metabolism of Candida glycerinogenes, a transformation system based on the dominant selectable marker Zeocin and restriction enzyme-mediated integration (REMI) was established. Effects of seven restriction enzymes on transformation efficiency of C.glycerinogenes were tested. Transformation conditions were optimized in the presence of Hind III. Under the optimal conditions of OD_ 600 ≈1.3, voltage of 1.5 kV, 2.0?10~9 competent cells/mL, 100 units of Hind III added, the transformation efficiency was up to 129 trnaformants/?g DNA. 58% of transformants were stable on nonselective medium. These results suggest that REMI technique would be beneficial to the genetic transformation of C.glycerinogenes.

ABSTRACT

pH, affects of different alkaline materials KOH, K 2CO 3, NaOH, Na 2CO 3 on the growth, and NaCl, KCl tolerance of 29 isolates from the saline and alkaline soils in Xinjiang and Qinghai Provinces of China and 1 type strain were studied. Results showed that only a few alkaliphilic actinomycetes were Na +-obligately dependent, and K +-sensitive. Some alkaliphilic actinomycetes were CO 3 2- -sensitive, and NaCl, KCl could inhibit their growth. 4 kinds of alkaline materials had no affect on growth of alkaliphilic Nocardiopsis, and these strains showed high tolerance to NaCl, KCl. So it was presumed that only K + and CO 3 2- obligately dependent alkaliphilic Actinomycetes maybe exist in alkaline environments.
