ABSTRACT

Linarin, as a natural coumponent belongs to flavonoid glycoside, is widely existed in herbal plants such as chrysanthemum indicum and Mongolian flower, which has a variety of pharmacological effects, such as anti-inflammation, anti-cancer, liver protection, analgesia, antipyretic, anti-oxidation, anti-apoptosis, sedation and sleep, neuroprotection, preventing and treating hypertension, treatingdiabetes, preventing and treating osteoporosis, whitening, skin care and sunscreen. It is difficult to dissolve in water and has poor oral efficacy, but when combined with different substances or combined (forming phospholipid complex), its bioavailability can be improved, so as to improve its pharmacological efficacy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of Xuebijing injection on inflammatory factors in patients with Stanford B aortic dissection (AD) after endovascular repair and approach its clinical significance. Methods Sixty patients with Stanford type B AD for endovascular repair admitted to the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from January 2014 to June 2016 were enrolled, and they were divided into a Xuebijing group and a control group according to the random number table method, 30 cases in each group. The patients of Xuebijing group received 100 mL Xuebijing injection+ 50 mL normal saline intravenous drip during operation, while the patients of control group received an equal volume of normal saline, 2 times a day in both groups for consecutive 3 days. Peripheral venous blood was collected before and after treatment for 1, 2, and 3 days, and the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the prognosis of the two groups was observed. Results With the prolongation of time, the postoperative levels of CRP, TNF-α and IL-6 in the two groups showed a tendency of first increase and then decrease compared with the preoperative levels, the above indexes of the two groups were all significantly higher, CRP (mg/L) and TNF-α (ng/L) peaked on the 2nd day postoperatively (control group: CRP was 146.34±13.92 and TNF-α was 72.22±7.63, Xuebijing group: CRP was 114.92±9.89 and TNF-α was 53.44±6.80, allP < 0.05), however, IL-6 (ng/L) peaked on the 1st day postoperatively (control group: 146.08±10.29, Xuebijing group: 117.88±8.84), then decreased, all reached the valley on the 3rd day postoperatively (control group: CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 was 112.59±8.54, 43.73±4.10, 70.03±4.66 respectively, Xuebijing group CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 was 87.75±7.67, 39.43±4.63, 56.65±3.27, respectively), and at the same time point, the level of CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 in the Xuebijing group were significant lower than those in the control group, the change were the most significant on 3 days after operation [CRP (mg/L): 87.75±7.67 vs. 112.59±8.54, TNF-α (ng/L): 39.43±4.63 vs. 43.73±4.10, IL-6 (ng/L): 56.65±3.27 vs. 70.03±4.66, P < 0.05]. There were no serious complications such as renal failure, severe hypoxemia, infection, paraplegia, stent shift and so on, no hospital death occurred and all patients were discharged in rehabilitative condition. Conclusions Endovascular repair in patients with Stanford type BAD may activate an inflammatory response inducing the release of a large amount of inflammatory factors during the early postoperative period, Xuebijing injection can inhibit the inflammatory reaction and prevent the occurrence of postoperative complications.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablets on expressions of MCP-1 and MMP-9 of vascular remodeling in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR); To discuss it possible mechanism of action. Methods Totally 24 12-week old male SHR were randomly divided into SHR model group, Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablets group, and positive medicine group, with 8 rats in each group. Another 8 WKY rats were set as normal control group. Medication groups were given relevant medicine for gavage for successive 6 weeks. Noninvasive tail cuff method was used to observe blood pressure; morphological changes in thoracic aorta and renal artery were observed by HE staining; immunohistochemistry was used to detect the protein expressions of MCP-1 and MMP-9 in thoracic aortic wall. Results Protein expressions of MCP-1 and MMP-9 in thoracic aortic wall of SHR model group were significantly higher than those of normal control group (P<0.01); Compared with the SHR model group, protein expressions of MCP-1 and MMP-9 in thoracic aortic wall decreased significantly in the medication groups (P<0.05, P<0.01); Compared the Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablets group and positive medicine group, there was no obvious difference in protein expressions of MCP-1 and MMP-9 in thoracic aortic wall. Conclusion Compound Uncaria Hypotensive Tablets can reduce the blood pressure of SHR, reduce inflammation reaction, and regulate vascular remodeling, which mechanism may be related to down-regulation of expressions of MCP-1 and MMP-9 in SHR aortic endothelial cells.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Shiwei Wendan Decoction on coronary heart disease stable angina pectoris of qi deficiency and stasis-phlegm type. Methods Sixty patients of stable angina pectoris which belonged to the type of qi deficiency and stasis-phlegm were divided randomly into the treatment group and the control group, and each group has 30 cases. The treatment group was given Shiwei Wendan Decoction and the control group was given Tongxinluo Capsule for 4 week, one course. The changes of symptoms integral,ECG,clinical efficacy,blood-fat and CRP of the two groups were observed after the treatment. Results The total effective power of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group (P

ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the protective effects of Shenmai injection (SMI,参麦注射液) on peritoneal mesothelial cell in rats with 5/6 nephrectomy. Methods:By using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy the morpholgical structure changes of peritoneal mesothelial cell in rats with 5/6 nephrectomy caused (chronic)renal failure model of after the peritoneal didysis of SMI were observed at the same time the levels of C3 and IgG in peritoneal dialysate were observed also. Results:The SMI could promote the recovery and proliferation of injured peritoneal mesothelial cell increase the immunity function of abdomen in rats. Conclusions:The SMI has protective effect on peritoneal cell in rats with 5/6 nepherctomg the protecive effect related to improving regional defence function in abdomen.

ABSTRACT

AIM To observe the changes of plasma neuropeptide Y (NPY) levels in patients with essential hypertension(EH) taking Compound Qishao Jiangya Tablets (Radixet Rhizoma Notoginseng, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Rhizoma Gastrodiae, etc) and to investigate the significance of NPY in the pathogenesis of hypertension and the relationship between NPY and platelet disnormal function. METHODS The plasma NPY concentrations of 60 patients with EH and 20 normal ones were determined by radioimmunoassay, at the same time detected platelet aggregation rate and fibrinogen were detected. RESULTS The levels of plasma NPY in patients with EH were higher than that in normal control group. The NPY levels, the platelet aggregation rate, fibrinogen in the three periods of hypertension (period Ⅰ,Ⅱ, Ⅲ) were all significantly different and were increased with the severity of hypertension. CONCLUSION NPY may participate in the pathophysiological course of hypertension, and the plasma NPY, the platelet aggregation rate of the patients with EH were correlative. The plasma NPY should be dynamscally monitored in order to determine the disease degree. During the treatment for EH attention should be taken to decrease the platelet aggregation rate.
