ABSTRACT

At present, ovarian cancer is one of the main diseases threatening women's life and health. The mortality ranks first among female reproductive system malignant tumors. Due to the hidden onset, more than 75% of them are at advanced stage once diagnosed. Advanced ovarian cancer is characterized with the Federation International of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ, very poor prognosis and the 5-year survival rate less than 50%. In recent years, the exploration of maintenance treatment of ovarian cancer is in full swing. A large number of studies show that poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors are effective in patients with advanced ovarian cancer. Therefore, PARP inhibitors have gradually become an important part for treatment of ovarian cancer, and the indications have also been concerned by clinicians. This paper reviews the application of PARP inhibitors in advanced ovarian cancer.

ABSTRACT

Objective:The therapeutic effect of less polar ginsenosides on rats with rheumatoid arthritis was studied, and the metabolic pathway that produce anti-inflammatory effect of less polar ginsenosides was identified. Methods:Rats were randomly divided into the control group, the model group, methotrexate treatment group, and high dose, medium dose, and low dose less polar ginsenosides groups. After 30 days of oral administration, less polar ginsenosides reduced the disease activity significantly in rats with rheumatoid arthritis. Blood and ankle synovial tissue metabolisms were measured by ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) tandem mass spectrometry (MS) to explore the mechanism of less polar ginsenosides. The resulting data were subjected to principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA).Results:Compared with the model group, erythrocyte sedimentation rate and RF decreased significantly in the high dose of less polar ginsenosides ( P<0.01). Metabolomics showed that R2X and R2Y of serum OPLS-DA were 0.626 and 0.904 respectively. The R2X and R2Y of synovial OPLS-DA were 0.429 and 0.689 respectively. Major differential metabolites were identified in the model group of rats, including arachidonic acid, valine, linoleic acid, and guanine nucleoside, etc. The main differential metabolites were identified in rats in the high dose group of less polar ginsenosides, including linoleic acid, betaine, eicosapentaenoic acid, alanine, methionine sulfoxide, isoleucine, etc. Conclusion:The metabolic spectrum has shown that inflammation is associated with linoleic acid metabolism, valine, leucine and isoleucine degradation, arachidonic acid metabolism. Less polar ginsenosides regulatethe linolenic acid metabolism, methionine metabolism and glucose alanine cycle.

ABSTRACT

In recent years, many studies have demonstrated the potential of immune checkpoint inhibitors in the treatment of multiple types of cancers. Natural killer (NK) cells are an important part of the innate immune system and play an essential role in tumor immune surveillance. Their effects depend on their binding to inhibitory receptors, activating receptors, or both and the fact that they do not require major histocompatibility complex molecules to kill tumor cells. NK cells have shown great potential against both solid and hematologic tumors and have been increasingly identified as a promising therapeutic target for cancer immunotherapy. Some newly emerging checkpoint receptors and molecules have been revealed to mediate NK cell dysfunction in the tumor microenvironment, making them ideal targets for tumor immunotherapy. Thus, this paper will focus on the roles of these newly emerging immune checkpoint receptors in the regulation of NK cells and their potential application in tumor immunotherapy.

ABSTRACT

The target compounds were prepared from 5-aminobenzimidazolone by two steps reaction, and their AChE inhibitory activities were measured by Ellman method in vitro. The AChE inhibitory activity of compound 4d is the best of them, and its IC50 value is equal to 7.2 μmol·L(-1), which is better than that of rivastigmine; moreover the 4d had no inhibitory activities to BuChE. Therefore, the inhibitory activities of 5-aminobenzimidazolone derivatives to acetylcholinesterase are worth further researching.

ABSTRACT

Objective Investigation of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province in the pathogenesis of esophageal cancer risk factors, prevention and treatment for esophageal cancer provide the basis. Methods Based on the hospital case control study, a survey of the region' s incidence of esophageal cancer risk factors. Results The single factor, multi factors and Logistic regression analysis found that Large quantities of alcohol, eating less fresh vegetables and less meat, eggs and fish, hot drink and diet, family history of esophageal cancer, history of significant mental trauma and low education level factors and esophagus cancer incidence closely related to the incidence of esophageal cancer in the Hexi Corridor is the main risk factors. At the same time, smoking, eating fast, eating sauerkraut was not related to the incidence of esophageal cancer. Conclusion After the investigation discovered this local esophagus cancer morbidity dangerous factor and locality special living conditions factor related, mainly displays in diet aspects and so on habits and customs and energetic factor. These factor function is by no means independent, but is affects mutually, affects mutually forms.
