ABSTRACT

Breast oncoplastic surgery technique is a new technique in the surgical treatment of breast cancer. For tumors in different quadrants, volume displacement or volume replacement techniques can be used to obtain tumor safety while effectively reducing the occurrence of breast deformity and maximizing the aesthetic appearance of the breast. This article provides a comprehensive introduction of breast-conserving surgery for breast tumors, which can provide guidance and direction for breast surgeons to perform this technique in a more standardized and rational way in clinical practice, and ultimately allow patients to obtain satisfactory treatment results.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the clinical feasibility and advantages of ultrasound guided mammo-tome biopsy for micro-calcifications visible in mammography. Methods A total of 12 patients with mammogra-phy-revealed micro-calcifications examined by ultrasound guided vacuum-assisted biopsy in our hospital from Jun. 2017 to Dec. 2018 were enrolled in this study and their medical records data were analyzed. Results All 12 patients had accepted pre-biopsy ultrasound localization and all micro-calcifications were successfully excised. A-mong 12 cases, 4 were revealed as benign breast diseases and 8 were diagnosed as breast cancer. Conclusions Ul-trasound guided mammotome biopsy is found to be an alternative method to stereotactic biopsy in patients with US-detectable micro-calcifications, and re-scan ultrasonography focusing on the specific microcalcification area may be helpful for improving the ultrasound detection rate of micro-calcifications.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To study the exciting effects of ethanol extract of capitate phrynium (Phrynium Capitatum Willd) stem and leaf on the uterine smooth muscle of rat, mice, guinea pig and rabbit pretreated by diethylstilbestrol. METHODS: Conventional method was adopted to prepare animal uterine specimens both in vivo and in vitro. Different doses of the extract were given to the specimens and recorded their tensility, frequency and activity of contraction with the help of BL-420 biological experimental system. IC_(50) of the extract was calculated, with oxytocin as standard comparison. RESULTS: 95% ethanol extract and 50% ethanol extract of capitate phrynium and leaf had obviously stimulating action on the uterine smooth muscle of rat, mice, guinea pig and rabbit in a dose-dependent manner in vitro, whichinclude accelerating contraction frequency, raising tension (P<0.05, P<0.01). In addition, 50% ethanol extract also had a significant stimulating action on uterine smooth muscle of rabbit in vivo(P< 0.01). CONCLUSION: Ethanol extracts of capitate phrynium have an effect on rodent uterine. Smooth muscle indicates that clinical application of Chinese practitioner used to treat the dysfunctional uterine bleeding proves to be effective.
