ABSTRACT

The event of an internal pancreatic fistula to the pericardium is extremely rare. The case of a patient with pericardial effusion secondary to abdominal trauma in a patient with chronic pancreatitis is presented. The patient was managed with pancreatectomy and pancreaticojejunostomy. Post-operatively the patient had no fistula and was free of symptoms
