ABSTRACT

Results and Conclusion:Articulation disorder for children is classified to Developmental Speech Sound Disorder (6A01.0). It involves in the eye, ear and related structures (s2), structures involved in voice and speech (s3), especially structure of external ear (s240), structure of middle ear (s250) and structure of inner ear (s260); voice and speech functions (b3), especially articulation functions (b320); communication (d3), learning and applying knowledge (d1), interpersonal interactions and relationships (d7), and community, social and civic life (d9), especially speaking (d330), conversation (d350), using communication devices and techniques (d360) and acquiring language (d133). The assessment of articulation disorder should be covered articulation accuracy and motor function of articulation. A holistic rehabilitation solution for children with articulation disorder has been developed, involving in body structure, body function, activities and participation, and environmental factors, including assessment, training and treatment, educational counseling, and psychological and social support. Objective:To explore the diagnosis of diseases and functioning of articulation function and conduct content analysis of assessment tools in Chinese, and to construct framework of rehabilitation solution based on International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision (ICD-11), International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (Children and Youth version) (ICF-CY) and International Classification of Health Interventions (ICHI). Methods:The diagnosis of disease and functioning was discussed with ICD-11 and ICF. The assessment tools were analyzed with ICF. A holistic rehabilitation solution was constructed with ICF and ICHI.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To observe therapeutic effect of small needle-knife comprehensive therapy on pain and lumbar flexion range in the chronic nonspecific low back pain patient.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Three hundred and five cases were randomly divided into a needle-knife group of 153 cases and a physiotherapy group of 152 cases. The needle-knife group were treated with small needle-knife releasing therapy, blocking and functional training. The physiotherapy group were treated with ultra-short wave, modulated medium frequency current, massage and functional training. Pain was assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS) and the lumbar flexion range was determined before and after treatment.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>After treatment, the pain and the lumbar flexion range were significantly improved in the two groups; and after treatment, the VAS score and the lumbar flexion range were (1.60 +/- 0.38) points and (65.76 +/- 15.11) cm in the needle-knife group and (4.59 +/- 1.09) points and (53.74 +/- 15.13) cm in the physiotherapy group, respectively, the needle-knife group being significantly better than the physiotherapy group (P < 0.01). Follow-up survey of 6-36 months showed that the VAS score and the lumbar flexion range in the needle-knife group were superior to those in the physiotherapy group.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Small needle-knife comprehensive therapy can significantly improve pain and lumbar flexion range in the chronic nonspecific low back pain patient, with a stable long-term therapeutic effect.</p>

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the curative effect of different physical rehabilitation techniques on patients with lumbar disc herniation.@*METHODS@#Eighty-four patients were randomly divided into Group A, Group B and Group C. Group A were treated with the computerized pelvis traction and ultrashort wave, Group B were treated with the computerized pelvis traction only, while Groups C were treated with the computerized pelvis traction, the ultrashort wave and the traditional Chinese medicine iontophoresis. The outcome was measured with the Japanese Orthopaedics Association Score (JOA score) about lower back pain (LBP).@*RESULTS@#Compared with before the treatment, the JOA score of all the 3 groups increase markedly after the treatment (P<0.001). Compared with group B, the JOA score of Groups A and Group C significantly increased (P<0.05). Compared with Group A, the JOA score in Group C significantly increased (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#The curative effect of comprehensive rehabilitation on lumbar disc herniation is better than that of the single rehabilitation.

ABSTRACT

@#Immobilization is a usual method to treat the injury of skeletal muscle system and plays an important role in rehabilitation of diseases. But immobilization also displays some negative effects, of all, muscle system is affected significantly. The mechanism is explored in the article from immobilization-induced skeletal muscle atrophy, the dropping of muscle power, reduction of vessels density in muscle and metabolic disturbance of muscle. The authors of the article advances that shortening the period of immobilization as possible and performing early rehabilitation are important to remove the negative influence of immobilization, but all treatments should obey the medical rules.

ABSTRACT

Objective To determine levels of serum Leptin, insulin like growth factor-1(IGF-1),interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-?) in newborn infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE).Methods The asphyxiated and normal term neonates were included. The HIE group contained 45 cases and control group 20 cases.Serum Leptin,IGF-1,IL-6 and TNF-? levels were measured by a sensitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results In asphyxiated term neonates, serum Leptin,IGF-1,IL-6 and TNF-? levels were significantly higher or lower than those in control group(all P
