ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE:To compare the contents of loganic acid,swertiamarin,6′-O-β-D-glucosyl gentiopicroside,gentiopi-croside,sweroside,isoorientin and isovitexin in wild and cultivated Gentiana officinalis,and to provide basis for rational use of G. officinalis. METHODS:UPLC method was adopted. The separation was performed on ACQUITY UPLC? BEH C18 column (50 mm × 2.1 mm,1.7 μm) with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.04% phosphoric acid (gradient elution) at the flow rate of 0.3 ml/min. The detection wavelength was set at 242 nm,and column temperature was 30 ℃. RESULTS:For loganic acid,swertiama-rin,6′-O-β- D-glucosyl gentiopicroside,gentiopicroside,sweroside,isoorientin and isovitexin,a good linearity was obtained in the range of 2.1-537.1 μg,1.05-270 μg,0.92-236 μg,11.1-2 830 μg,0.75-192 μg,0.167-102 μg,0.216-52.80 μg(r≥0.999 5), respectively. Their average recoveries were 97.72%-99.84%(RSD≤3.39%,n=6). The contents of loganic acid,swertiamarin, 6′-O-β-D-glucosyl gentiopicroside,gentiopicroside,sweroside and isoorientin in the wild sample were higher than in the cultivat-ed;the content of isovitexin was lower than the cultivated,but there was no statistical significance(P>0.05). The sum of gentiopi-croside and loganin acid content were all higher than 2.5% in both wild and cultivated samples,and met the requirements of 2015 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia(first part). CONCLUSIONS:The content difference of 7 indicative constituents in wild and cul-tivated G. officinalis is not statistically significant,and the indicative constituents of the pharmacopoeia is qualified.

Objective To compare the micromeritics properties and external dissolution rates of Sanhuang Powder in different particle sizes;To provide references for its direct use and application as raw materials for TCM preparation.Methods Particle size, bulk density, tap density, angle of repose, and hygroscopicity ofSanhuang micro-powder and common powder were investigated and evaluated. External dissolution rates ofSanhuang micro-powder and common powder were detected by ultraviolet spectrophotometry.Results The flowability of bothSanhuang micro-powder and common powder were not very well. With the sizes decreasing, the hygroscopicity of micro-powder became stronger. The external dissolution ofSanhuang micro-powder was more sufficient and much more quickly than common powder.Conclusion Properties ofSanhuang micro-powder and common powder are obviously different.Sanhuang micro-powder has stronger hygroscopicity and worse flowability compared with common powder. However, external dissolution ofSanhuang micro-powder is more sufficient and much more quickly than common powder. WhenSanhuang micro-powder is used directly and used as raw materials for TCM preparation, much more discretion should be considered.
ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND:Studies have shown that malnutrition was associated with death of elder people after fracture of hip, but there were no above-mentioned reports in China. OBJECTIVE: To retrospectively analyze the relationship of blood albumin, total lymphocyte count and hemoglobin levels to prognosis when elder patients with fracture of hip were on admission. METHODS:130 elderly patients with hip fractures aged ≥ 70 years were included underwent either total hip arthroplasty or bipolar arthroplasty. Admission serum albumin, total lymphocytecount and hemoglobin levels were recorded. The patients were fol owed up for 1 year or til the death. Survival data were available in 92 patients. Rates of survival were calculated by the Kaplan-Meier method and the Log-Rank test. Cox proportional hazard regression model received prognostic multivariate analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Of the 92 patients, albumin0.05). The survival rate of patients with normal hemoglobin (≥ 120 g/L) was significantly higher than those with decreased hemoglobin (<120 g/L) (P <0.05). Cox multivariate analysis displayed that albumin decrease is an independent prognostic factor for death of patients with hip fracture. Results indicated that the prognosis of elder patients with hip fracture was strongly associated with their nutritional conditions. Albumin and hemoglobin levels at admission can be considered as important indexes for judging patient’s prognosis.
ABSTRACT
Aim To observe the effects of promethazine on the analgesia,hypnosis,amnesia and therapeutic index of isoflurane.Methods The experiments were designed to study promethazine on the analgesic effect of isoflurane by hot-plate test and writhing test,and to study the effect of promethazine on the sleeping time of isoflurane by the method of righting reflex,and the amnesia of isoflurane by Morris water maze,and the ED_(50),LD_(50) by sequential method in mice.Results The result of hot-plate test and writhing test indicated that promethazine could enhance the analgesic effect of isoflurane(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01);through the experiment of righting reflex, sleeping time of isoflurane in mice was extended by promethazine(P＜0.01);in Morris water maze experiment, the average latency in the combination of promethazine and isoflurane was longer than that of the promethazine group or isoflurane group(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01), while aiming to the residence time, the combination of the two was shorter than that in the third quadrant(P＜0.01 or P＜0.05),the TCPP of the group of isoflurance was more than that of the combination group;promethazine could decrease the ED_(50) of isoflurance(P＜0.01),but it did not obviously affect its LD_(50)(P＞0.05).Conclusion Promethazine can not only reinforce the effect of isoflurance on analgesia,hypnosis and amnesia, but also boost the therapeutic index of isoflurance.
