ABSTRACT

【Objective】 To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of transurethral blue laser vaporescetion of the prostate in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). 【Methods】 The clinical data of 100 BPH patients undergoing the surgery in our hospital during May and Sep.2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The observations included operation time, bladder irrigation duration, postoperative catheter indwelling time, hospital stay, complications, as well as changes in hemoglobin, International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), Quality of Life Scale (QoL) score, maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax), bladder residual urine volume (PVR), and other related indicators before and 3 months after surgery. 【Results】 All 100 procedures were successfully completed without turning to transurethral resection of the prostate and/or open surgery. No blood transfusion was needed. The operation time was (37.8±19.6) min, bladder irrigation time (1.3±0.5) d, catheter indwelling time (12.7±0.4) d, hospital stay (3.4±0.7) d, hemoglobin drop (4.1±7.1) g/L. The postoperative IPSS and QoL score were significantly lower than those before surgery (P<0.05); postoperative Qmax was higher than that before surgery (P<0.05); postoperative PVR was smaller than that before surgery (P<0.05). Urinary retention occurred in 4 cases (4%) after removal of the catheter; carnal hematuria and bladder clot formation occurred in 3 cases (3%); mixed urinary incontinence occurred in 2 cases (2%); stenosis of the external urethra occurred in 2 cases (2%). All complications were cured after symptomatic treatment. There were no serious perioperative complications, no intraoperative complications such as ureteral orifice injury or bladder perforation, and no serious postoperative complications such as transurethral resection syndrome (TURS), permanent urinary incontinence or bladder neck contracture. 【Conclusion】 The blue laser surgical system had satisfactory effects of vaporization and hemostasia. Transurethral blue laser vaporesection of the prostate is safe and effective in the treatment of BPH.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the features of optical molecular imaging of bladder tumor cells labeled by tumor homing peptide fluorescent molecular probe, and to explore the theoretical foundation of optical molecular imaging for bladder cancer diagnosis. Methods After prepared the FITC-CSNRDARRC fluorescent molecular probe, laser scanning confocal microscope, immuno fluorescence and multispectral fluorescence in vivo optical molecular imaging system have been used to evaluate the binding sites, the affecting factors of binding rates, the specificity and the targets.BIU-87 bladder tumor cell line, BIU-87 bladder tumor cell line, 68 cases of paraffin bladder tumor tissue samples, 16 cases of paraffin glandular bladder inflammatory samples, 43 cases of paraffin renal clear cell carcinoma samples, 68 cases of paraffin gastric adenocarcinoma samples, 29 cases of urine exfoliated cells suspected bladder cancer and BIU-87 bladder cancer nude xenograft have been used in this study. Results The binding site of FITC-CSNRDARRC fluorescent molecular probe were at the nucleus of labeled bladder tumor cells. The binding rates were correlated linearly with the dose of probe and the grade of pathology. The in vitro and in vivo studies demonstrate that the probe has a binding specificity with bladder tumor. When the FITC-CSNRDARRC fluorescent molecular probe labeled tumor cells, bright green spots were observed under laser scanning confocal microscope. The bright green spots were more apparent after stained by DAPI again. The tissue samples and tumor cells in the urine can be successful labeled and identified by fluorescence microscope.Optical molecular imaging of in vivo xenograft tumor tissues showed fluorescent spots under EMCCD.Conclusions The labeled loci of single cell by FITC-CSNRDARRC probe have been identified. The spatial resolution of optical molecular image is related to sensitivity of CCD, and the optical molecular imaging cannot be imaged by the conventional endoscope camera.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore a new type community nursing mode which can improve the life quality of community elderly population with depression tendency. Methods In the chosen community of Jilin City,we used Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) to identify the elderly population with depression tendency.78 elderly people with depression tendency who met the conditions of study were assigned to the intervention group and the control group with 39 people in each group randomly.8-week group-intervention was given to the intervention group, and no intervention was given to the control group. For the intervention group, the total intervention time was 8 weeks, once a week for continuous 8 times together and intervention time was 90 minutes for each time. The Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) and the world health organization quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) were used to measure the quality of life of the two groups. Results After intervention, the total scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant.Average scores of each dimension in the life quality of the intervention group were obviously higher than those of the control group. Conclusions Group intervention mode for the community elderly population with depression tendency was feasible, effective, and reasonable. It can be applied to mental health care of community elderly people, and can also provides basis for early discovery and early intervention of the community elderly people with depression.
