ABSTRACT

In recent years, with the change of lifestyle and environment, the incidence of colorectal cancer is increasing.Colorectal polyp is an important precancerous lesion of colorectal cancer;endoscopic early detection, early diagnosis are important for the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer.Aims:To investigate the endoscopic findings, pathology and clinical features of colorectal polyps. Methods:Patients with colorectal polyps from January 2014 to June 2016 at the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen were enrolled, and the general information data, endoscopic findings, pathology and canceration rate were retrospectively analyzed. Results:A total of 740 patients had colorectal polyps detected, the ratio of male to female was 1.75:1,559 (75.5%)patients were aged >40 years,70.4% of polyps were located in left hemicolon, the main pathological type of polyps were inflammatory polyps (29.0%),hyperplastic polyps (29.6%),tubular adenoma (30.3%).Cancer was found in 38 patients, canceration rate was 5.1%;the main pathological types of cancerated adenoma were tubular adenoma, tubular villous adenoma and villous adenoma, and 87.2%had a diameter greater than 1.5 cm,and were mainly located in left hemicolon (76.9%).Conclusions:Gender,age,pathological type, diameter of colorectal polyps are important factors of canceration.Male colorectal polyps patients with age >40 years, diameter greater than 1 .5 cm,tubular villous adenoma and villous adenoma should be paid attention and followed up.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effects of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) on N‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP) in the non‐obese patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) .Methods A total of 41 cases of severe OSA complicating coronary artery disease(CAD) were divided into two groups based on their body mass index (BMI):obese group (BMI>28 kg/m2 ) and non‐obese group (BMI≤28 kg/m2 ) .All the patients were treated by CPAP for 24 weeks .Serum NT‐proBNP lev‐el was detected by adopting the electrochemiluminescence method ,the changes of the serum levels of NT‐proBNP were compared between before and after treatment .Results The NT‐proBNP level after treatment in the non‐obese group was significantly de‐creased ,which was decreased from (141 .8 ± 156 .5)pg/mL before treatment to (106 .7 ± 167 .2)pg/mL ,the difference was statisti‐cally significant (P0 .05) .Conclusion CPAP can effectively decrease the NT‐proBNP level in non‐obese patients OSA complicating CAD .

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of anti-miR-145 on human airway smooth muscle cell (HASMC) proliferation and osteopontin systhesis in vitro and explore the mechanisms.

METHODSHASMCs were treated with 10-100 nmol/L anti-miR-145, and the cell proliferation and apoptosis were investigated using a CCK-8 assay and flow cytometry, respectively. The changes in osteopontin synthesis after the treatment was quantified with Western blotting.

RESULTSTreatment with 10 and 50 nmol/L anti-miR-145 significantly promoted the proliferation and osteopontin synthesis in HASMCs (P<0.05 or <0.01), and 50 nmol/L anti-miR-145 obviously inhibited the cell apoptosis (P<0.01).

CONCLUSIONAnti-miR-145 promotes HASMC proliferation and osteopontin synthesis and inhibits HASMC apoptosis in vitro, indicating the important role of anti-miR-145 in the pathogenesis of airway remodeling.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effects of interleukin- 1?(IL-1?)on the biological activity of human periodontal ligament(PDL) cells in vitro. Methods Human PDL cells were cultured in DMEM medium containing IL-1?(0.1,0.5,1,5 and 10ng/ml) for 1,2,3,4 and 5 days, respectively. The proliferation of PDL cells was measured by MTT assay at the first, second, third, fourth and fifth days after IL-1? treatment, respectively. Fibronectin level in the medium was determined by ELISA at the fourth days after 10ng/ml IL-1? treatment, and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity was measured by enzyme kinetic method. Results IL-1? inhibited the growth of human PDL cells in a dose-dependent manner, and its lowest effective concentration was 1ng/ml(P

ABSTRACT

In order to assess whether there is any abnormality in oncogene expression in hypoxia induced pulmonary hypertension, the expression of oncogene erbB in the lung tissue of rats with and without hypoxia was detected by in situ hybridization with digoxingenin as a prob label. The results showed that there was a slight expression of erbB mRNA in control normoxic rats. After hypoxia for 7 to 21 days, its expression increased significantly as compared with that in control (P
