ABSTRACT

Objective:A more effective approach to judge the fissure fracture by using image enhancement is presented.Methods:The Gradient image after 5×5 median filtering smoothing was used to mask the laplace image, and to add the original image in order to informing the sharpening image, and then the adaptive contrast histogram equalization is put in shaping image and to compare the effect of the image enhancement.Results: The algorithm to enhance the X-Ray fracture image can highlight the shape of the fissure fracture clearly. The enhanced image is more effective than the image by using one way alone.Conclusion: This method is valuable in judging the fissure fracture in clinical diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>The aim of this study was to establish patient-derived lung cancer xenograft models in nude mice by subcutaneous and subrenal capsule transplantation, and to analyze the differences in biological characteristics of the xenografts.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Surgically resected lung cancer specimens from 11 patients were implanted subcutaneously and under the renal capsule in nude mice. The tumor growth and histopathological features were observed and human origin of the blood vessels in the first-generation xenograft tumors was evaluated by SP immunohistochemistry using anti-human CD31 antibody.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The patient-derived lung cancer tissues were successfully implanted subcutaneously and under the renal capsule in 11 nude mice. The operation time of subcutaneous implantation was 13 min, and the tumor formation rate was 36.4% (4/11). The operation time of implantation under the renal capsule was 45 min, and the tumor formation rate was 45.5% (5/11). Histopathological examination of the xenografts using HE staining showed the same morphology of the human lung cancers, and immunohistochemical observation with CD31staining showed that 83.3% (5/6) blood vessels in the xenograft tumors was of human origin.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Both methods of subcutaneous and subrenal capsule transplantation can be used to successfully establish patient-derived lung cancer xenograft models in nude mice. The subcutaneous implantation is simple to operate, less time-comsuming, and easy to observe the tumor growth, but with a lower success rate of tumor formation. Transplantation under the renal capsule has a higher tumor formation rate, but is more difficult to operate, taking more time, and difficult to observe the growth of the tumor. The xenograft tumors formed by both methods in the first generation display biological characteristics of human lung cancer, the xenograft tumor models are close to human lung cancer, and therefore may provide a stable, reliable, and useful animal model in human lung cancer research.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective: To design mobile communication technology-based remote monitoring system which predict pregnancy-induced hypertension dynamically and improve the prediction accuracy. Methods:Based on the former portable detection device, the new system is combined with the GPRS wireless modem. Though data collecting, processing, analyzing, sending and receiving, we achieve the remote monitoring of blood flow parameter. The doctors analyze the health of pregnant women and Feedback diagnostic information in-time based on the monitoring information. Results: The system can monitor the blood flow parameter dynamically and provide more effective diagnostic information for the pregnancy-induced hypertension. Conclusion: The system can provide more effective technical support for forecasting, prevention and treatment pregnancy-induced hypertension.

ABSTRACT

Rats receiving unilateral nigral injection of 6 OHDA resulted in distinct reduction of DA (-88% ) , DOPAC(-80%) and HVA(-60%) in striatum of lesioned side, and the contents of 5HT and 5HIAA remained almost constant in comparison with that of contralateral striatum, suggesting selective lesion of nigrostriatal dopaminer-gic pathway induced by 6OHDA. Following 6OHDA lesion the rats exhibited circling behaviour after APO challenge. 1-Stephaniae ( 1-STP ) significantly antagonizied the action of APO in circling model in dose-dependent manner. Our results indicate that 1-STP possesses the ability to block DA receptor of central nervous system.
