ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the propaganda methods and propagation path of advertising media cosmetology publicity in accordance with public demand and ethical principles, through understanding college students' acceptance level for advertising media cosmetology publicity and its influence on their choice forcosmetic ways. Methods:With the method of stratified cluster sampling,an anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among 210 college students in a university in Shaanxi province. Results:The Internet has become the main way for college students to acquire cosmetology knowledge.A total of 44.7 % of the students thought most of the media cosmetology publicity was unbelievable,46.5% of the students thought that advertising media publicity mainly considered the interests of the beauty institution,72.9% of the students would not consider the beauty institution the media recommended,62.4% of the students would choose regular public hospitals,56.3% of the students would give up the idea of cosmetology due to the news of cosmetic failure,42.2% of the students could accept minimally invasive plastic surgery, and 68.5 % of the students expected to acquire the cosmetology knowledge through expert consultation.Concltusion:At current, the credibility of media cosmetology publicity is not optimistic enough. It should further strengthen the supervision for media cosmetology publicity.Cosmetology advertising media should construct the publicity mode based on ethics, law, governance, occupation, public welfare and social responsibility.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish an animal model of crush syndrome in rabbits and investigate the preventive effect of negative pressure drainage. Methods Twenty-four New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into four groups:control group, traditional treatment group,negative-pressure treatment group and mixed treatment group, with six rabbits per group.Blood urea nitrogen (BUN),creatinine (Cr),K,creatine kinase (CK) and myoglobin (Myo) were detected before crush and at 6,12,24,48,72 hours after decompression.Edema and analgesia of extremities were determined and changes of kidney and muscular tissue were observed by light microscope. Results As time went on,K,Myo,BUN and CR had unobvious rise in each treatment group, without the presence of renal failure. The control group showed marvelous increases of K,Myo,BUN and Cr at 6 hours after decompression, from (4.61 ±0.98)mmol/L,(4.22±0.93) ng/ml,(7.76±1.40) mmol/L,(101.32±9.35)μmol/Lto (7.88±1.95)mmol/L,(11.34 ±3.86) ng/ml,(15.91 ± 1.76) mmol/L,(258.32 ±91.40) μmol/L separately, with renal failure and significant differences in comparison with other treatment group (P <0.05).The level of tissue edema and degree of analgesia in negative-pressure treatment group and mixed treatment group were lower than those in the traditional treatment group.Renal damage in all the treatment groups was milder than that in the control group by light microscopic observation, while there was no significant difference of muscle injury among groups. Conclusion Negative pressure drainage may prevent crush syndrome.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Hippocampus is an important region involved in learning and memory. Some methods for freshly isolated hippocampal pyramidal neurons have been described. These methods need multiple enzymes or the procedure is complex.OBJECTIVE: To acquire large quantities of hippocampal neurons from rats suitable for patch clamp study.DESIGN: An animal experimental observation.SETTING: Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, School of Medicine, Xi'an Jiao Tong University.MATERIALS: The experiments were carried out in the Medical Experimental Center, School of Medicine, Xi'an Jiao Tong University between March and October 2004. The animals were the 10-15-day-old SpragueDawley rats, bothmale and female.METHODS: Hippocampal pyramidal neurons were freshly isolated. Delayed rectifier potassium current and voltage-gated Ca2 + currents were recorded by whole-cell patch clamp configuration.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Acute isolated neurons were observed with a Leica microscope. Recordings of delayed rectifier potassium currents and voltage-gated Ca2+ currents were obtained.RESULTS: ① Under the inverted microscope, the acute isolated neurons had a smooth and glassy surface, a three-dimensional contour, a pyramidal shape with a longer apical dendrite and several basal dendrites. ② After the whole cell recording configuration was formed, voltage-gated barium currents through calcium channels were elicited by 200 ms depolarizing potential from -70 mV to +20 mV, with an increment of 10 mV, a holding potential was -90 mV. Delayed rectifier potassium current (Ikd) was elicited by a protocol consisting of a multiple depolarizing pulses (-60 mV to +50 mV),preceded by a single prepulse step to -50 rmV, with inactivated transient outward potassium currents from a holding potential of -80 mV.CONCLUSION: This method is simple and ideal for the dissociation of neurons from rat hippocampus, and offers a powerful tool for functional analysis of ion channels by patch clamp.
