ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate the association of isolated thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) positive in the first trimester with fetal growth.@*METHODS@#A total of 16 446 pregnant women were included in the birth cohort study, whose last menstrual period was between May 2016 and April 2019 and with singleton pregnancy. Maternal serum samples were collected when they firstly came for prenatal care in the first trimester. The pregnant women were consecutively seen and followed in the hospital and the information of pregnant women was extracted from the electronic medical information system. The pregnant women were divided into isolated TPOAb positive group (n=1 654) and euthyroid group (n=14 792). Three fetal ultrasound examinations were scheduled during the routine prenatal visits at the hospital and were performed by trained sonographers. All fetal growth indicators were quantified as gestational age- and gender- adjusted standard deviation score (Z-score) using the generalized additive models for location, scale and shape (GAMLSS). Fetal growth indicators included estimated fetal weight (EFW), abdominal circumference (AC), biparietal diameter (BPD), femur length (FL) and head circumference (HC). Fetal growth restriction (FGR) was defined as AC or EFW Z-score<3rd centile based on clinical consensus. Generalized estimating equation (GEE) analysis was applied to assess the association of maternal isolated TPOAb positive with fetal growth. The generalized linear model was further used to analyze the association between isolated TPOAb positive and fetal growth indicator at different gestational ages when the fetal growth indicator was significantly associated with isolated TPOAb positive in the GEE mo-del.@*RESULTS@#The median gestational age at three ultrasound measurements was 23.6 (23.3, 24.1), 30.3 (29.7, 30.9), 37.3 (37.0, 37.7) weeks, respectively. The BPD Z-score was higher in isolated TPOAb positive women, compared with the euthyroid pregnant women after adjustment (β=0.057, 95%CI: 0.014-0.100, P=0.009). The generalized linear model showed the BPD Z-score was higher in the isolated TPOAb positive women at the end of 21-25 weeks (β=0.052, 95%CI: 0.001-0.103, P=0.044), 29-32 weeks (β=0.055, 95%CI: 0.004-0.107, P=0.035) and 36-40 weeks (β=0.068, 95%CI: 0.011-0.125, P=0.020), compared with the euthyroid pregnant women. There was no difference in other fetal growth indicators (EFW, AC, FL and HC) and FGR between the isolated TPOAb positive and euthyroid pregnant women.@*CONCLUSION@#The BPD Z-score was slightly increased in the isolated TPOAb positive pregnant women in the first trimester, while other fetal growth indicators were not changed. The reproducibility and practical significance of this result need to be confirmed.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the characteristics of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its associated factors in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited 385 RA patients [including 72 (18.7%) male and 313 (81.3%) female] who received abdominal sonographic examination from August 2015 to May 2021 at Department of Rheumatology, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital. There were 28 RA patients at 16-29 years old and 32, 80, 121, 99, 25 at 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, ≥ 70 years old, respectively. Demographic and clinical data were collected including age, gender, history of alcohol consumption, disease duration, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, blood pressure, RA disease activity indicators and previous medications. Logistic regression analyses were used to identify the associated factors of NAFLD in RA patients. Results: The prevalence of NAFLD was 24.2% (93/385) in RA patients, 26.3% (21/80) in 40-49 age group and 33.1% (40/121) in 50-59 age group. There were 22.1% (85/385) and 3.6% (14/385) RA patients with overweight and obese, in which the prevalence of NAFLD was 45.9% (39/85) and 78.6% (11/14) respectively, which was 2.6 folds and 4.5 folds that of RA patients with normal BMI. Although there was no significant difference of age, gender and RA disease activity indicators between RA patients with or without NAFLD, those with NAFLD had higher proportions of metabolic diseases including obese (11.8% vs. 1.0%), central obesity (47.3% vs. 16.8%), hypertension (45.2% vs. 29.8%) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (24.7% vs. 12.0%), consistent with higher levels of total cholesterol [(5.33±1.31) mmol/L vs. (4.73±1.12) mmol/L], triglyceride [(1.51±1.08) mmol/L vs. (0.98±0.54) mmol/L] and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol [(3.37±0.97) mmol/L vs. (2.97±0.78) mmol/L, all P<0.05]. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that BMI (OR=1.314) and triglyceride (OR=1.809) were the independent factors positively associated with NAFLD in RA patients. Conclusion: NAFLD is a common comorbidity in RA patients, especially in those with middle-aged, overweight or obese, which is associated with high BMI or high triglyceride. Screening and management of NAFLD in RA patients especially those with overweight, obese or dyslipidemia should be emphasized.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate how Zuogui pills from the Kidney-tonifying and Nourishing Yin formula, in combination with the gonadotrophin-releasing hormone antagonist cetrorelix, affected the ovarian local oxidative stress response in decreasing ovarian reserve (DOR) mice. All animal experiments were carried out in accordance with the guidelines and standards established by Jinan University's Experimental Animal Management Committee. Cyclophosphamide (CTX)-treated DOR mice were given Zuogui pills, cetrorelix, or a combination of the two drugs intragastrically. After treatment, there were changes in the estrous cycle, serum sex hormone levels, oxidative stress-related indexes, growth biochemical factor levels, and SIRT1/P53/P21 expression. In comparison to the model group, the Zuogui pills and the cetrorelix+Zuogui pills group had significantly prolonged estrous periods and shortened interestrous periods, and the cetrorelix+Zuogui pills group had a significantly shortened cycle length. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) decreased and estradiol (E2) increased in all treatment groups compared to the model group, oxidative stress indexes nitric oxide synthase (NOS), nitric oxide (NO), and reactive oxygen species (ROS) decreased, growth biochemical factors brain derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF-9) concentrations increased significantly, and leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) showed no significant change. SIRT1/P53/P21 immunohistochemical results revealed that, when compared to the model group, the expression of SIRT1 increased while the expression of P53 and P21 proteins decreased in all treatment groups, with the cetrorelix+Zuogui pills group having the largest decrease, with significant differences in all indicators. We conclude that cetrorelix combined with Zuogui pills for kidney nourishing and Yin recipe improved the oxidative stress response in the follicle by regulating the SIRT1/P53/P21 pathway, reducing peroxide product production, protecting ovarian function, and regulating ovarian hormone secretion, and its efficacy is superior to that of cetrorelix or Zuogui pills alone.

ABSTRACT

Melanoma associated antigen family A1 (MAGEA1) is expressed in germ cells and tumors of various histological origins, but its mechanism is still unclear. In this study, the eukaryotic recombinant MAGEA1 expression plasmids with Flag or GFP tags were constructed and transfected into HeLa and HEK293T cells. Western blotting, immunocytochemistry, co-immunoprecipitation, nuclear protein and cytoplasmic protein separation, and mitochondrial isolation were used to detect the expression and location of MAGEA1 and its interaction with other proteins in cells. The results of immunocytochemistry (ICC) and Western blotting showed that the overexpressed MAGEA1 was mainly localized in the cytoplasm and partially co-localized with mitochondria. Co-immunoprecipitation experiments verified the interactions between MAGEA1 and TRIM31, SNW1, HDAC1, and found that MAGEA1 may mainly interact with HDAC1 in the cytoplasm. The studies above indicate that MAGEA1 may be involved in different cellular biological processes and co-localize with mitochondria. It interacts with TRIM31, SNW1 and HDAC1, while MAGEA1 may mainly interact with HDAC1 in the cytoplasm. We propose that it may be involved in protein ubiquitination and the Notch signaling pathway. The results of this study laid an experimental foundation for the subsequent in-depth study of the mechanism of MAGEA1.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the mechanism of the prescription consisting Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and Epimedii Folium in the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF) based on network pharmacology, followed by verification in H9c2 myocardial cells with hypoxia-reoxygenation injury in vitro and in zebrafish with vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor Ⅱ (VRI) -induced vascular insufficiency. Method:The active ingredients in Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and Epimedii Folium were searched from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP),the corresponding target genes from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt), and the CHF-related targets from Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) and GeneCards. Both the active ingredient-potential target network and the active ingredient-CHF-related target network were generated using Cytoscape 3.6.1, followed by the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network construction and Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome (KEGG) enrichment analysis based on MetaScape. H9c2 myocardial cells exposed to hypoxia-reoxygenation were selected for determining the proliferation-promoting effect by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay. The protein expression of B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2), Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax),cysteinyl aspartate-specific protease-3(Caspase-3), protein kinase B(PKB/Akt),phosphorylated protein kinase B(p-Akt),phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 (p-ERK1/2),extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2), and poly adenosine diphosphate ribose polymerase(PARP)was detected by Western blotting. The efficacy of the prescription in promoting angiogenesis was verified in a zebrafish model of VRI-induced vascular injury. Result:There were 28 active ingredients for the prescription, 209 corresponding targets, 1 296 CHF-related targets, and 94 common gene targets shared by the prescription and CHF. PPI network clustering suggested that Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and Epimedii Folium alleviated CHF by interfering with cell differentiation and metabolism and angiogenesis. GO analysis revealed that CHF relief was achieved via the intervention in such biological processes as cell migration, vascular development, and angiogenesis. Pharmacodynamic experiments verified that Epimedii Folium (10 mg·L-1) alone and the prescription (10 mg·L-1)both enhanced the proliferation of H9c2 myocardial cells under the hypoxia-reoxygenation condition (P<0.05),while the latter also increased the expression of Bcl-2,Bcl-2/Bax, and PARP (P<0.05) and reduced the expression of Caspase-3, Akt, and ERK (P<0.05). The prescription at the concentrations of 0.3 and 0.1 g·L-1 promoted angiogenesis (P<0.05). Conclusion:Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata and Epimedii Folium exert the therapeutic effect against CHF via multiple ingredients, multiple targets, and multiple channels. Such combination promotes the proliferation of H9c2 myocardial cells under hypoxic condition and protects zebrafish from vascular injury by up-regulating the expression of Bcl-2 and PARP,increasing Bcl-2/Bax ratio, and down-regulating the expression of Caspase-3,Akt, and ERK.

ABSTRACT

As the body ages, the immune system will undergo a series of changes, which are termed "immunosenescence" and are embodied in immune cells. Previous studies have shown that the immune cells involved in the regulation of immunosenescence include intrinsic immune cells and adaptive immune cells. Intrinsic immune cells are neutrophils, monocytes/macrophages, myeloid-derived suppressor cells, dendritic cells, natural killer cells, etc., and the underlying mechanisms involve the regulation of cell number, phagocytosis, chemotaxis, adhesion, the function of toll-like receptor (TLR), antigen presentation, macrophage polarization, cytotoxicity, migration, etc. The adaptive immune cells include T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes, and the underlying mechanisms involve the regulation of cell development, proliferation, differentiation, cell number, telomerase activity, self-reactive antibodies, etc. Immunosenescence is the manifestation of aging in the human body and is also an important target for delaying aging by Chinese medicine and western medicine. In recent years, scholars have found some classical prescriptions and their active components (such as Dushentang and total saponins in Panax ginseng leaves, and Shengmaiyin and anwulignan and total saponins in P. ginseng stems and leaves) can regulate immunosenescence by targeting the immune cells and interfering with their molecular regulatory mechanisms. In addition, the mechanisms of the classical prescriptions in regulating immunosenescence are closely related to autophagy. The representative prescription embodying the therapeutic principles of resolving blood stasis and promoting regeneration, Dahuang Zhechongwan, can delay D-galactose-induced renal aging in mice, and its underlying mechanisms are related to the regulation of the number and activity of thymic immune cells and improvement of the protein expression of autophagy-related markers and inflammatory cytokines in the kidney. Therefore, exploring the effects of the classical prescriptions and their active components by targeting the mechanisms of immunosenescence will become a new direction for investigating and developing anti-aging drugs.

ABSTRACT

This study investigated the effect of rhein(RH) on the apoptosis and autophagy of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) induced by hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2) and its underlying mechanism. The oxidative damage model in HUVECs was established and the cells were divided into different treatment groups. Cell survival rate was detected by MTT assay, apoptosis by Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining and Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining, autophagy by Ad-mCherry-GFP-LC3 B adenovirus transfection, and protein expression by Western blot. The results showed that RH could protect cells by increasing the cell survival rate in a dose-dependent manner, decreasing the expression of apoptosis-related proteins(Bax and cleaved caspase-3) and the ratio of Bax/Bcl-2, elevating the expression of Bcl-2, up-regulating the expression of microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3(LC3)-Ⅱ, and down-regulating the expression of p62. Adenovirus transfection results showed that RH could increase the green and red spots, as well as the yellow spots. However, after the addition of autophagy inhibitor 3-MA, autophagy was reduced and apoptosis was increased. RH could enhance the expression of silent information regulator 2 related enzyme 1(SIRT1). The addition of SIRT1 inhibitor EX-527 reduced the protective effect of RH and cell viability. The addition of 3-MA had no effect on the expression of SIRT1 protein, but the expression of SIRT1 and LC3-Ⅱ proteins decreased and the expression of p62 increased after the addition of EX-527. After RH treatment, the phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK) increased, while that of the mechanistic target of rapamycin(mTOR) decreased in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, this effect could be weakened by the AMPK inhibitor compound C. RH may enhance autophagy through SIRT1/AMPK/mTOR pathway to reduce H_2O_2-induced apoptosis of HUVECs.

ABSTRACT

Daphnane-type diterpenenoids are the major biologically active constituents in the genus Daphne. We find that there are about 101 Daphnane-type diterpenes in this genus, most of those compounds show different degrees of inhibitory effect on various cancer cell. Some of them have been studied in depth and the potent molecular mechanisms might be associated with modulation of different cell-signaling pathways. In addition, some compounds of this type also can inhibit the synthesis of protein and DNA. Absolutely, the anti-tumor activity of Daphnane-type diterpenes is worthy of attention. Unfortunately, most of the current research on the activity of these compounds is focused on simple drug efficacy, and its in-depth mechanism research is far from enough. On the other point of view, there still exists wide growing space on the depth of these compounds.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To reveal the effect of foods with different natures on cold or hot syndrome and gastrointestinal bacterial community structure in mice.@*METHODS@#Forty-five 6-week-old male ICR Kunming mice of clean grade were divided into 5 groups, 9 per group, including the control (CK), hot nature herbs (HM), Hong Qu glutinous rice wine (RW), tea rice wine (TW), and cold nature herbs (CM) groups. Distilled water or corresponding herbs were administered to mice (0.01 mL/g body weight) in the 5 groups by gastric infusion respectively, once daily for 28 d. Appearance, behavior, and serum biochemical indicators, including 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), noradrenaline (NE), cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), the hot nature index, as well as the gastrointestinal bacterial community structure were analyzed in all groups after treatment.@*RESULTS@#After supplementation for 28 d, CM and TW mice showed different degrees of cold syndrome, and HM and RW mice showed different degrees of hot syndrome. Compared with the HM and RW mice, the TSH, NE, cAMP levels and hot nature indices in the CM and TW mice were significantly decreased and 5-HT and cGMP levels were significantly increased (P<0.05). There was no obvious change in appearance or behavior in CK mice. Results of clustering analysis showed that the gastrointestinal bacterial community structures were highly similar in TW and CM mice as well as in RW and HM mice, and that they were from the same branch, respectively, when the distance was 0.02. The key microbes associated with cold syndrome were Lachnospiraceae uncultured, Lactococcus, etc., and the key microbes associated with hot syndrome were S24-7 norank, Ruminococcaceae uncultured, etc. CONCLUSION: The interventions with different nature foods could change cold or hot syndrome in mice, leading to changes in gastrointestinal bacterial community structure.

ABSTRACT

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which have the potential of self-replication and differentiation, are a very valuable cell source for stem cell-based medical therapy. Their application has opened up a new way for disease research. Although MSCs can maintain cell stemness through self-renewal, with the prolongation of cell passage and culture time, the stemness of MSCs gradually decays, and the cell aging and differentiation potential decreases gradually. Autophagy is a highly conserved cytological process that degrades the modified, excess, and deleterious cytoplasmic components in autophagosomes, which are then degraded by fusion with lysosomes. As the main intracellular degradation and recycling pathway, autophagy plays an active role in maintaining cell homeostasis, self-renewal and pluripotency. In this paper, the role of autophagy in self-renewal and maintenance of multidirectional differentiation potential of MSCs was reviewed, which laid a theoretical foundation and practical basis for the research and application of MSCs.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To prepare high carbamazepine (CBZ) loading solid dispersion and investigate its solubilization mechanism and stability. METHODS: The effects of different drug-carrier ratios and preparation METHODS on dissolution were investigated by intrinsic dissolution rate. The existing form of CBZ in the solid dispersion was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD). The micromorphology was observed with scanning electron microscopy and the solubilization mechanism was probed by wettability test and particle size measurement. RESULTS: The solid dispersion prepared by hot-melt extrusion with the drug/carrier ratio of 4∶1 demonstrated the highest dissolution, which was 327 fold that of the untreated drug. CBZ in the solid dispersion was small crystalline which had been transformed from polymorph III to . Wettability of the solid dispersion in hydrochloric acid solution was increased significantly, which could be rapidly dispersed into a nanometer-sized suspension. The solid dispersion was very stable without any changes for more than 6 months under accelerated test conditions. CONCLUSION: The CBZ solid dispersion with 80% drug loading prepared by hot melt extrusion with a hydrophilic polymer, Eudragit EPO, as carrier possesses satisfactory properties such as fast drug dissolution and excellent stability.

ABSTRACT

Osteoporosis, one of the severest diseases in the middle-aged and elderly population, is the result of the disorder of the normal bone turnover process. At present, many studies have shown that bone turnover is closely related to the microbial environment in the human body. The largest microbiota in the human body exists in the intestine and plays an important role in the normal physiological activities of the body, such as nutrition, metabolism, immunity and barrier. Intestinal microbe can regulate endocrine and immune system through a series of processes, thereby affecting the process of bone turnover in the body. This article briefly reviews the current research about the effects of intestinal microbe on the process of bone turnover in the body. It is expected to provide new ideas for the treatment of osteoporosis by exploring the relationship between osteoporosis and intestinal microbe.

remifentanil;hyperalgesia;CCL2;microglia@#【Objective】To observe C-C motif chemokine ligand 2(CCL2)mediates remifentanil-induced hyperalgesia by activating microglia in rats.【Methods】Thirty-six adult male SD rats were equally and randomly divided into 6 group with 6 rats in each group:normal saline ,remifentanil, saline + intrathecal injection of phosphate buffer saline(PBS), remifentanil + intrathecal injection of PBS,saline + intrathecal injection of CCL2 neutralizing antibody and remifentanil + CCL2 neutralizing antibody. To establish remifentanil-induced hyperalgesia model,remifentanil[4 μg/ (kg·min)2 h] was continuously infused into rats via the tail vein. Then ,immunofluorescence and western blot were performed to examine the expression of spinal CCL2 in rats. Thirty minutes before remifentanil infusion, intrathecal injection of CCL2 neutralizing antibody was performed to observe remifentanil-induced hyperalgesia and the effect on the activation of microglial in the spinal cord of rats.【Results】Compared with the normal saline group, the thermal and mechanical pain thresholds in the remifentanil group were significantly reduced(P < 0.05). The expression of protein(0.66 ± 0.071 vs. 0.18 ± 0.04;P < 0.001)and average immunofluorescence density of spinal CCL2(0.170 ± 0.009 vs. 0.047 ± 0.006;P < 0.001)were significantly increased on the first day after remifentanil infusion. Prior intrathecal injection of CCL2 neu⁃ tralizing antibody not only inhibited remifentanil-induced activation of microglia in the spinal cord(P < 0.001),but also mitigated remifentanil-induced thermal hyperalgesia and mechanical pain sensitivity(P < 0.05).【Conclusion】CCL2 me⁃ diates the remifentanil-induced hyperalgesia by activating spinal microglia in rats.

ABSTRACT

@#【Objective】To explore clinical manifestations and features of renal uric acid excretion in gout patients with obesity.【Methods】Totally 228 primary gout patients were enrolled and divided into three groups according to body mass index(BMI). Clinical and fasting blood biochemical analysis data were collected. Indices of renal uric acid excretion were calculated according to 24 h urinary uric acid and urinary creatinine.【Results】The obese group(n = 44)was younger than overweight group(n = 88)and non-overweight group(n = 96)[43(32,57)years vs 55(45,65)years,58(45,67)years],with earlier onset age[37(26,48)years vs 48(38,59)years],higher serum uric acid[594(522,697)μmol/L vs 511(372,653)μmol/L]and had more hypercholesterolemia(56.8% vs 31.3%)and low density lipoproteinemia(59.1% vs 47.9%)compared with non-overweight group. The ratio of hypertriglyceridemia(43.5% and 37.5% vs 17.7%)and metabolic syndrome(50.0% and 36.4% vs 12.5%)in the overweight and obese group were both higher than non- overweight group. Fraction excretion of uric acid(FEUA)in obese group[5.5(3.6,7.4)% vs 7.0(5.2,9.8)%]was lower than non-overweight group, and the glomerular filtration load of uric acid[5.3(4.2,7.5)mg·min- 1 ·1.73 m- 2 vs 3.5(2.2,5.2)mg·min-1·1.73 m-2]in obese group was higher than that in non-overweight group(All P < 0.0167). Multivariate regression analysis showed that overweight or obesity were negatively correlated with FEUA(All P < 0.05).【Conclusion】High uric acid load of serum and glomerular filtration in gout patients with obesity may be due to the relative insufficiency of renal uric acid excretion.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of salvianolic acid B (Sal-B) on the myocardial apoptosis in rats with sepsis. Method:The 50 male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group, model group (cecal ligation and perforation were performed to replicate the animal model of sepsis)and Sal-B low, medium and high-dose group(6, 12, 24 mg·kg-1).The myocardial necrosis markers troponin T(TnT), cardiac troponin I (cTnI), creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) and the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were assayed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities and malonaldialdehyde (MDA) levels in myocardial homogenates were determined by spectrophotometrically. Haematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to evaluate the pathological change in rats. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling assay (TUNEL) was used to detect apoptosis of myocardial cells in hearts, respectively. Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of apoptosis-related protein cysteine protease-3 (Caspase-3), b-lymphocytoma-2 (Bcl-2), Bcl-2-related X protein (Bax), autophagy microtubule-related light chain 3 (LC3) and Beclin-1 in myocardial tissue. Result:Compared with sham group, the levels of TnT, CK-MB and cTnI in model group were significantly increased (Pα, IL-1β and IL-6 in myocardial tissue were significantly increased (PPPPPPPα, IL-1 and IL-6 in the myocardial tissue were significantly decreased (PPPPPPPPPPConclusion:Sal-B showed a protective effect on the myocardial apoptosis in septic rats maybe by depressing inflammatory infiltration, anti-oxidative effects and improving the exceptional expression of the proteins such as Bax, Bcl-2, Caspases-3 by enhancing the level of autophagy.
