ABSTRACT
Introdução: Tradicionalmente a Odontologia Legal, apesarde valorizada, não tem sido contemplada com carga horária significativana graduação, mesmo sendo responsável pela interligação da práticaclínica com o exercício legal da profissão. Objetivo: Averiguar o grau deconhecimento dos cirurgiões-dentistas recém-formados, em uma instituiçãoprivada, sobre o exercício profissional e montagem de consultórioodontológico. Metodologia: Foram coletados 92 questionários com perguntassobre legislação para montagem de consultório, biossegurança,aspectos éticos e responsabilidade civil. Resultado: Dentro da amostrapesquisada, o conhecimento sobre a Odontologia Legal pode ser consideradoincipiente, em vista do nível de acerto de pouco mais da metadedos quesitos (54,73%). Conclusão: Na graduação, deve ser incluída umadisciplina específica para esclarecer sobre responsabilidade civil, ética elegislação para montagem de consultório.
