ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the cleaning quality of different cleaning methods for laparoscopic instruments, ensure the cleaning quality of instruments. Methods The used laparoscopic instruments were classified into two categories: non-lumen instruments and lumen instruments. Three cleaning methods, traditional manual cleaning (A), manual cleaning + ultrasonic cleaning (B), manual cleaning + automatic cleaning disinfector (C), were adopted respectively for treating instruments. Cleaning quality of instruments were detected with ATP bioluminescence assay. Results The qualified rates of laparoscopic non-lumen instruments cleaned by methods A, B, and C were 78.75%, 95.71%, and 96.00% respectively, difference was significant (χ2=16.453, P<0.001);qualified rate of methods B and C for cleaning non-lumen instruments was higher than that of method A (P<0.016), there was no significant difference between methods B and C (P>0.016). Qualified rates of laparoscopic lumen instruments cleaned by methods A, B, and C were 76.47%, 98.75%, and 91.55% respectively, difference was significant (χ2=21.087, P<0.001); qualified rates of methods B and C for cleaning lumen instruments were both higher than that of method A (P<0.016), there was no significant difference between methods B and C (P>0.016). Conclusion Effect of manual cleaning + ultrasonic cleaning and manual cleaning + automatic cleaning disinfector on used laparoscopic instruments are both better than that of traditional manual cleaning method, can effectively guarantee the cleaning quality of instruments and help to ensure the operation safety of patients.

ABSTRACT

With the advancement of manned space science and technology, the scope of human exploration into outer space has been gradually expanded. The time and distances that astronauts flight on-board are becoming longer and longer.However,long-term microgravity can negatively affect astronauts' physical and psychological aspects, thus influencing their health and leading to the failure of work tasks, and even threatening their lives. This paper reviews USA,Russia and Europe research results in the field of astronauts on-board physical training methods and health protection measures, with the purpose of learning from their successful experience.Overall,it is suggested that for cross complementation in sport science,we should make the introduction of advanced and successful training systems to solve problems existing in astronauts on-board training, ensuring the maintenance of health.

ABSTRACT

Objective· To assess the efficacy of abiraterone acetate (AA) plus prednisone treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients and analyze the prognostic factors for this treatment. Methods · The medical history of 112 patients with mCRPC treated in Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, including 70 patients in the chemotherapy-na?ve setting and 42 in the post-chemotherapy setting, were retrospectively reviewed. Coprimary end points were prostate specific antigen progression-free survival (PSA PFS), radiographic PFS (rPFS) and overall survival (OS). Univariable and multivariable Cox analyses were performed to determine prognostic factors that were associated with PSA PFS, rPFS and OS. Results · At a median follow-up of 20.2 months, 59 (52.7%) patients had died. The median PSA PFS, rPFS and OS were 8.9 (7.8~10.0) months, 9.7 (9.0~10.4) months, and 22.2 (20.3~24.1) months, respectively. In multivariate analysis, previous chemotherapy, neutrophil lymphocyte ratio(≥3 vs<3),serum lactate dehydrogenase level(≥196 U/L vs<196 U/L)and ECOG PS(≤?1 vs 2)were independent predictors for PSA PFS and rPFS,and previous chemotherapy,ECOG PS(≤?1 vs 2)remained significant predictors for OS. Conclusion·These results further support the favourable profile of AA plus prednisone in patients with mCRPC in China.Previous chemotherapy,ECOG PS(≤?1 vs 2)remained significant predictors for OS.
