ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the relationship between the concentration of air pollutants and daily emergency department visits for different diseases (circulatory system disease, digestive system disease, nervous system disease and respiratory system disease) in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Methods The daily average concentrations of sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2, carbon monoxide (CO) and PM2.5 and the daily maximum 8-hour concentrations of O3, the daily average temperature, the relative humidity and cause -specific emergency department visits of the four major diseases from 2015 to 2017 were collected in Guangzhou. Semi-parametric generalized additive model was used to analyze the relationship between the concentration of pollutants and daily cause-specific emergency department visits. Results The daily average concentrations of SO2, NO2, CO, O3 and PM2.5 during the study period were 13.24 μg /m3, 45.96 μg /m3, 0.97 mg /m3, 123.77 μg /m3 and 36.22 μg /m3, respectively. For circulatory system disease,the independently significant associations of SO2 with emergency department visits in single-pollutant models (2.91%, 95% CI: 1.00%-4.85%), and multipollutant models (4.39%, 95% CI: 1.22%-7.67%) were observed. Conclusion The ambient SO2 increases the risk of emergency department visits due to circulatory diseases in Guangzhou. Comprehensive prevention and control measures should be taken to reduce the emission of SO2.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the effect of Fuke Xiaoyan prescription combined with nifuratel and nysfungin in senile mycotic vaginitis. Methods 100 patients with senile mycotic vaginitis were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group ,50 cases in each group.The control group were treated with nifuratil nystatin alone.The observation group were treated with Fuke Xiaoyan prescription.The inflammatory factors of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α), C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) and oxidative stress products of SOD, nitric oxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) were determined before and after treatment in the two groups.Results The effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 96.0% and 80.0% respectively.The clinical efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05 ) .The difference of the inflammatory factors between the two groups was statistically significant ( P<0.05 ) .The levels of SOD and NO in the two groups were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), but the levels of the inflammatory factors in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05 ) .The levels of MDA and ET-1 in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Fuke Xiaoyan prescription combined with nifuratil and nystatin has a good effect in the treatment of senile mycotic vaginitis.It can effectively relieve the inflammatory reaction and reduce the level of oxidative stress products , thus improving the patients'life quality.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effects of silybin-phosphatidylcholine compound (SPC )on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced activation of nuclear factor-?B (NF-?B) and phosphorylation and degradation of inhibitors of NF-?B?(I?B?).Methods Phagocyte were collected in abdominal cavity of Kunming mousse aged 6 to 8 weeks,cultured phagocyte(2?105 mL-1) were divided into control, LPS and SPC groups randomly, phagocyte in control group were added into the same volume of 9 g/L sodium chloride.Phagocyte in LPS group were added into a single bolus of LPS(10 ?g/mL LPS) for 24 hours, phagocyte in SPC groups were preincubated with different concentration of SPC for 2 hours followed by a 24 hours incubation with 10 ?g/mL LPS. Immunocytochemistry were used to measure the contents of NF-?B, phosphorylated I?B? in phagocyte.Results The content of NF-?B p65 located in the nuclear in control group was little. The content of NF-?B p65 located in the nuclear in LPS group markly higher than that in control group(P
