ABSTRACT

Objective:To understand the prevalence of arboviruses in mosquito samples in Xichang City, Sichuan Province, and enrich the data of arbovirus activity and genetic characteristics in southwestern Sichuan Province. Methods:In June 2018, the nucleic acid was extracted from Culex tritaeniorhynchus mosquitoes collected from different pigsties in three villages and suburbs of Xichang City. The specific primers of Yunnan orbivirus, Banna virus, Tibet orbivirus (S7, S10), Flavivirus and alphavirus were used for quantitative polymerase chain reaction examination, and the positive product was cloned for sequencing analysis. Results:A total of 9 012 mosquitoes were collected, of which Cx. tritaeniorhynchus was the dominant species. A number of 88 batches of these mosquitoes were amplified, and 2 strains of Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), 7 strains of Banna virus (BAV), 7 strains of Tibet orbivirus (TIBOV) and 1 strain of Yunnan orbivirus virus (YOUV) were detected, respectively. By the results of cluster analysis and evolutionary tree analysis, the 17 newly found virus strains were close to the Yunnan isolates, and 2 JEV strains were located in the GI-b clade. The other 7 strains of BAV were A2 evolutionary clades. Of the 7 TIBOV plants, 6 were located in the same clade. One TOUV was in the same clade as the Yunnan strain. Conclusions:Culex tritaeniorhynchus mosquitoes in Xichang city might carry JEV, BAV, YOUV and TIBOV, among them JEV was GI-b type and BAV was A2 type. The results provide data supporting the detection and analysis of arboviruses in Xichang city.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#In order to understand the current situation and influencing factors of teaching quality in a Medical University in Yunnan, thus improving the teaching quality of the teachers.@*Methods@#The self-made evaluation forms for teachers' teaching quality which include 9 first-level indicators were adopted. In December 2016, a survey was conducted on some students from grade 2013 to 2016 about the teachers who gave them lectures from September to December 2016, involving 7 different majors, 23 teachers and 18 courses. SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis. Enumeration data were described by frequencies and percentages. Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were used for satisfaction.@*Results@#There were 1 542 valid questionnaires collected in this survey. Univariate Logistic regression analysis showed that there were 6 factors related to the overall satisfaction of teachers' classroom teaching quality, which were "whether the courses are professional (OR=1.430)", "curriculum difficulty (OR=1.731)", "curriculum progression (OR=1.620)", "learning time after class (OR=1.141)", "interest before class (OR=1.565)", and "interest after class (OR=2.291)", respectively.@*Conclusion@#"courses are professional", "courses are too easy", and "the progression of courses is slow " are favorable factors for high satisfaction degree, while "courses are set up by the departments that the students belong", "learning time used after class is too short", and "interest for study is decreased after class" may be unfavorable factors for high satisfaction degree.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo analyze and evaluate the responsiveness and feasibility of the quality of life instrument for patients with systemic lupus erythematos(SLE).Methods143 cases of SLE patients were measured by QLICD-SLE before and after treatment and the data were analyzed with the traditional hypothesis test and combining the effect size, standardized response mean, the relative efficiency, the standard effect size and the feasibility analysis methods.Results(1)Paired t test before and after treatment indicated that there were significant differences between after treatment and before treatment in physical(t=2.39,P<0.05) and specific module domain(t=2.22,P<0.05),while there were no significant promotion in the scores of psychological function, social function and total score after treatment. There were no significant changes of SES,SRM and CR after treatment.(2)Most patients could understand the meaning of the instrument well and spent 15-20 minutes to finish it.The rate of recovery and completed were 98.0% and 97.8% respectively.ConclusionsThe QLICD-SLE can detect clinical change of treatment with good responsiveness and feasibility.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the life quality status of freshmen in higher medical colleges, and discuss the factors influencing the quality of life,in order to improve their life quality, and put forward the countermeasures and suggestions. Methods We randomly selected a higher medical colleges and universities in Yunnan, the grade one students were investigated with SF-36 scale investigation, the data were analyzed by t test and multiple linear regression analysis. Results The quality of life scores (PCS,MCS) of freshmen in this medical college are lower than the national norm, the segmentation in the field of eight only GH is higher than the national norm, and the RP,BP,VT,RE are lower than the national norm. There are six factors into the regression equation of the quality of life:health, insomnia, life pressure, communicating with people, life rule. Conclusions The QOL of freshmen in higher medical colleges and universities is low, relevant departments should be caused to take seriously. To improve the QOL,the government, society, school, personal must make joint efforts in many ways, and take targeted measures.

ABSTRACT

Objective To learn current status and influentcing factors of post competency among preventive medicine graduates from a medical university,in order to provide evidence for the improvement of post competency preventive medicine graduates. Methods We adopted stratified sampling strategy, chose 1 provincial,1 municipal and 2 county level CDCs,used self-developed questionnaires to survey preventive medicine graduates from a specific medical university.Clustering analysis, correlation analysis,Logistic regression and rank-sum test were applied to analyze data. Results Among all respondents,26 (40.63%) reported that they were totally competent on their posts, the rest 38 (59.37%) reported ordinary post competency. We found 7 factors that were significantly associated with post competency:fondness of the job, whether proactive on the job, whether responsible to the job,et al.Conclusion Post competency of preventive medicine graduates from this particular medical university exceeded preventive medicine graduates from Xinjiang Medical University. However, there still exists some problems for improvement. We recommend that universities and working units should improve post competency of preventive medicine students based on those influential factors we identified.

ABSTRACT

Objective The aim of this study is to explore the reasons and the main affecting factors of the reported tuberculosis (TB) patients by internet-based reporting system who failed to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for diagnosing and treating in Yunnan Province, so as to provide scientific evidence for constituting reasonable countermeasures and measures to improve the rate of the reported TB patients coming to CDC for diagnosing and treating. Methods Randomly sampled 730 tuberculosis patients by cluster sampling, surveyed by the questionnaires and logistic regression was used for data analysis. Results The main influencing factors were migrant, having no referring form of doctors, having no advice of doctors to CDC,having no financial problem, unbelieving TB harm to health, unknowing free treating policy of TB,untrusting CDC,unbelieving free medicine, hospitalization and unknowing the CDC address, with odds ratios of 3.234,0.438,0.065,0.056,0.117,0.153,0.336, 6.587,9.685 and 1.991, respectively .Conclusion To improve the rate of coming to CDC for diagnosing and treating, should take some integrated measures as follows: strengthening TB health promotion, strengthening referring program, strengthening communication between doctors and patients, and strengthening propaganda on CDC.
