ABSTRACT
Objective To observe the effect of coronary reperfusion therapy on the differential ex-pression of plasma exosomal miRNAs in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Meth-ods Three elderly male AMI patients undergoing coronary reperfusion therapy in our hospital from October to November 2022 were recruited in this study.The venous blood samples were col-lected at admission and 2 and 24 h after recanalization.MiRNA-sequencing was used to screen the differentially expressed miRNAs which were commonly expressed in the plasma exosomes of the 3 patients.Bioinformatics analysis was performed on the target genes,and then the differentially expressed miR-499a-5p was verified by qPCR.Results Compared with the plasma exosomal miRNAs at admission,there were 418 up-regulated and 406 down-regulated miRNAs at 2 h after operation,and 320 up-regulated and 225 down-regulated miRNAs at 24 h after operation(P<0.05);Compared with the miRNAs at 2 h after operation,there were 344 up-regulated and 350 down-regulated ones at 24 h after operation(P<0.05).Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Ge-nomes enrichment analysis showed that the differentially expressed miRNAs were enriched in phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase-protein kinase B,hypoxia-inducible factor 1,and vascular smooth muscle contraction pathways.Gene Ontology analysis indicated that the molecular functions of dif-ferentially expressed miRNA target genes were mainly enriched in protein binding and DNA bind-ing;cellular components were mainly enriched in cell membrane and cytoplasm;and biological processes were mainly enriched in signaling and transcription of DNA templates.The miR-499a-5p level was significantly lower at 2 h postoperatively than at admission[(0.577±0.020)vs(1.000± 0.023),P<0.05],and at 24 h postoperatively than at 2 h postoperatively[(0.068±0.006)vs(0.577±0.020),P<0.05].Conclusion Plasma exosomal miRNAs can be used as a biomarker for early diagnosis of elderly AMI patients and for predicting the efficacy of reperfusion therapy.

Objective:To investigate the reliability and repeatability of 3 classification systems for coronal fractures of distal humerus.Methods:Included were the imaging data (X-ray and CT scan) of the 64 patients with distal humeral coronal fracture who had been admitted to the outpatient and emergency departments of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital from January, 2015 to December, 2021. Four orthopedic surgeons (1 chief surgeon, 1 associate chief surgeon, 1 attending surgeon, and 1 resident surgeon) served as observers who classified the fractures by their imaging data respectively according to the Bryan-Morrey, Ring and Dubberley classifications. Four weeks later when the imaging data of 64 patients were renumbered, the 4 orthopedic surgeons performed the same classifications again. Inter-observer and intra-observer Kappa values were calculated for the 3 classifications. Landis and Koch Kappa's Benchmark Scale was used to interpret the results.Results:Interobserver confidence: The average agreement of the Bryan-Morrey classification was 75.0%, and its Kappa value was 0.546, indicating moderate agreement. The average consistency of Ring classification was 74.7%, and its Kappa value was 0.702, indicating high consistency. The average consistency of Dubberley classification was 84.1%, and its Kappa value was 0.785, indicating high consistency. Intra-observer repeatability: The average consistency of Bryan-Morrey classification was 89.9% and its Kappa value was 0.824 for the same observer. The average consistency of Ring classification was 91.0%, and its Kappa value was 0.884. The average consistency of Dubberley classification was 91.8%, and its Kappa value was 0.888.Conclusions:The 3 classification systems for distal humeral coronal fractures all demonstrate high reproducibility. As the Dubberley classification system is relatively more reliable, it has a certain guiding value for the treatment of coronal fractures of the distal humerus. However, in clinical practice, an optimal surgical strategy should take into account various factors that may affect fracture typing.

Objective:To compare the clinical effects between proximal humerus internal locking system (PHILOS) inverted and a posterior single plate in the anterior percutaneous minimally invasive internal fixation for distal humeral shaft fractures.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to analyze the data of 65 patients with distal humeral shaft fracture who had been treated from January 2018 to May 2021 at Department of Orthopaedics, The Second Hospital of Fuzhou. The patients were assigned into 2 groups according to different treatment methods. In the observation group of 30 cases subjected to anterior percutaneous minimally invasive internal fixation with PHILOS inverted: 20 males and 10 females with an age of (41.5±11.6) years; type A in 5 cases, type B in 14 cases, and type C in 11 cases by AO fracture classification. In the control group of 35 cases subjected to anterior percutaneous minimally invasive internal fixation with a posterior single plate: 23 males and 12 females with an age of (39.9±11.2) years; type A in 7 cases, type B in 17 cases, and type C in 11 cases by AO fracture classification. The preoperative general data, operation time, intraoperative blood loss, total incision length, fracture healing time, and shoulder and elbow VAS scores, Constant-Murley shoulder function score, Mayo elbow performance score (MEPS), and complications at the last follow-up were recorded and compared between the 2 groups.Results:There was no significant difference in the preoperative general data between the 2 groups, showing comparability ( P>0.05). There were no significant differences either in operation time, fracture healing time, or shoulder or elbow VAS pain score, Constant-Murley shoulder function score, or MEPS at the last follow-up between the 2 groups ( P>0.05). The intraoperative blood loss was (59.7±26.6) mL in the observation group and (165.7±86.4) mL in the control group, and the total incision length was (10.7±2.1) cm in the observation group and (18.6±2.7) cm in the control group, showing statistically significant differences between the 2 groups ( P<0.01). There was no injury to the radial nerve or musculocutaneous nerves, incision infection or fracture nonunion in the observation group. There were 4 cases of iatrogenic radial nerve injury, 2 cases of incision infection and 1 case of fracture nonunion in the control group, yielding a complication rate of 20.0% (7/35). The difference in the incidence of complications was significant between the 2 groups ( P<0.01). Conclusion:In the treatment of distal humeral shaft fracture with anterior percutaneous minimally invasive internal fixation, PHILOS inverted has advantages of less soft tissue damage, less intraoperative bleeding, and a lower risk of iatrogenic radial nerve injury than the posterior single plate.

Aim To investigate the effects of daidzeinDD on the proliferation and apoptosis of non-small cell lung cancer cells,with a focus on the possible role of the p53 signaling pathway in this regard. Methods CCK-8 method and flow cytometry were used to detect the effects of soy isoflavone crude extract and DD on the viability and apoptosis of HELF and H1299 cells. Gene microarray was used to detect the changes in gene expression after treatment of H1299 cells with DD. GSEA and differential analysis were used to screen the major pathways and key genes. RT-qPCR and Western blot were performed to verify the differences in mRNA and protein expression of key genesp53 and CASP9 in the major pathways. After p53 inhibitor Pifithrin-α inhibited the expression of p53,the effect of DD on p53 mRNA and protein expression levels was examined,and the proliferative effect on H1299 cells was observed. Results Soy isoflavone crude extract and DD promoted proliferation and inhibited apoptosis of normal lung cells and inhibited proliferation and promoted apoptosis of lung cancer cells. p53 signaling pathway was significantly enriched in the DD-treated groupNES=1.78,P=0.000,and the expressions of p53 and CASP9 genes were found to be significantly up-regulated in the treated group. Compared with the control group,mRNA expression of CASP9 and p53 significantly increased in both HELF and H1299 cells treated with DDP<0.05,and p53 protein expression also increased in HELF cellsP<0.05. After inhibition of p53 expression,DD significantly increased the mRNA expression of p53 in H1299 and HELF cellsP<0.05 and also markedly increased the expression of p53 protein in H1299 cellsP<0.05,and it was observed that DD inhibited the proliferation of lung cancer cells. Conclusions DD inhibits the proliferation and promotes the apoptosis of lung cancer H1299 cells,and the mechanism mainly involves the p53 signaling pathway.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pediatric myofibroma/myofibromatosis of the soft tissue and bone. Methods: All cases of pediatric myofibroma/myofibromatosis of the soft tissue and bone diagnosed between January 2011 and December 2018 were retrieved from the surgical pathology records in the Department of Pathology, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, Beijing, China. Clinical and radiological data were collected. H&E and immunohistochemistry were used to examine histological and immunophenotypic features and to make the diagnosis and differential diagnosis. The relevant literature was also reviewed. Results: Twenty-eight cases of pediatric myofibroma/myofibromatosis of the soft tissue and bone were respectively collected. The patients' ages ranged from 2 months to 14 years, with a mean age of 7 years. There were 7 females and 21 males. There were 12 cases located in soft tissue, including the finger (n=9), upper arm (n=1) and foot (n=2). There were 14 cases located in the bone of limb, including the femur (n=8), tibia (n=4), clavicle (n=2), fibula (n=2) and radius (n=1). There were 2 cases of myofibromatosis involving multiple bones. Radiology showed lytic lesions in the bone. The proliferation of spindle-shaped myofibroblasts arranged in fascicles with indistinct eosinophilic cytoplasm and bland nuclei, with no pleomorphism and cytological atypia. The characteristic histologic structure was the biphasic nodular growth pattern with cellular and paucicellular regions. The tumors might arrange in a hemangiopericytoma-like pattern. The stroma varied between dense fibrosis and myxoid changes. The reactive new bone formation and inflammatory cell infiltration also existed. Immunohistochemical study showed that the SMA was positive. The surgical resections were performed. One of the patients had tumor recurrence as a result of 11-month follow-up. Conclusions: The pediatric myofibroma/myofibromatosis of the soft tissue and bone is a very rare benign tumor and has a good prognosis. It has a characteristic morphology and its differential diagnosis from other spindle cell tumors could be made with the immunohistochemical analysis.

The chemical compositions of Rodgersia aesculifolia were isolated and purified using a combination of silica gel, reverse phase silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and semi-preparative HPLC. The structures were determined according to the physicochemical properties and spectroscopic data. The MTT method and the ABTS kit were used to measure the cytotoxicity and antioxidant capacity of all isolates, respectively. One new compound was discovered(compound 1), 25 compounds were first isolated from R. aesculifolia, and 22 compounds were first isolated from the Rodgersia plant. The results indicated that compounds 22-24 possessed cytotoxicity for HepG2, MCF-7, HCT-116, BGC-823, and RAFLS cell lines(IC_(50) ranged from 5.89 μmol·L~(-1) to 20.5 μmol·L~(-1)). Compounds 8-14 and 30-32 showed good antioxidant capacity, and compound 9 showed the strongest antioxidant activity with IC_(50) of(2.00±0.12) μmol·L~(-1).

Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of depression among middle school students in Tianjin , and to provide the evidence for making targeted prevention of depression. Methods In September 2019 and September 2020, the stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 32 380 middle school students in Tianjin for face-to-face questionnaire survey, which included the basic information , depressive symptoms , health status , life and behavior habits , injuries , and Internet addiction in the previous week. The χ2 test , t test, univariate and multivariate logistic stepwise regression were used to analyze the data. Results From 2019 to 2020, the prevalence of depression among middle school students in Tianjin was 20.48% , with higher prevalence in girls than in boys and higher prevalence in urban areas than in suburban areas. Multivariate regression results show that smoking, school bullying, parental abuse, Internet addiction , injury , urban area , female , sickness, anemia and sweets are risk factors for depression ; fruits , vegetables , breakfast , high Intensive exercise are protective factors. The OR ( 95%CI ) of depression of school bullying and parental beating and scolding were 4.71 ( 95%CI 3.84 -5.79) and 2.94 ( 95%CI 2.72 - 3.18); the OR ( 95%CI ) of depression of internet addiction students was 2.76 ( 95%CI 2.30 - 3.11); the OR ( 95%CI ) of depression in anemia students was 1.68 ( 95%CI 1.36 - 2.07); compared with non-smokers, the odd ratio(OR) ( 95%CI ) of depression for smoking less than 1 cigarette, 1-11 cigarette, and 11-20 cigarette per day were 1.83 ( 95%CI 0.75 - 2.44), 1.64 ( 95%CI 0.94 -2.84 ), 1.92 ( 95%CI 1.51 - 2.44), respectively; Conclusion The depression level of middle school students in Tianjin is in the middle, and the intervention should be interfered from many aspects, such as cultivating students' good living behavior habits and healthy body, providing good family atmosphere and campus environment.

Objective:To explore the changes in the expression of Tau protein and phosphorylated Tau (p-Tau) protein in neurons after spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury (SCII).Methods:Ninety-six healthy adult SD rats were randomly divided into a sham operation group ( n=48) and a SCII group ( n=48). Based on the reperfusion time of 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h, the SCII group was divided into 6 subgroups ( n=8 per subgroup). Immunohistochemical staining was used to observe the apoptosis of spinal cord neurons in the L 4-L 5 segments and the expression of Tau protein and p-Tau protein. Results:In the sham operation group, the neuron cells were intact, mainly concentrated in the gray matter. Tau protein was seen in a small number of neuron cells, and a small amount of filamentous p-Tau protein in the pernucleus and cytoplasm. There was no significant difference between Tau protein and p-Tau protein expression in neurons at each time point ( P>0.05). In the SCII group, scattered Tau protein was seen in the apoptotic cells while there was a strong positive expression of Tau protein in the non-apoptotic cells. The expression of Tau protein in the SCII group gradually increased after injury, reaching a peak at 48h and plateauing at 72 h, and was significantly different between any 2 time points (except for 72 h) ( P<0.05). In the SCII group, the positive expression of p-Tau protein was observed in the cytoplasm of the apoptotic cells in strips and sheets. It increased rapidly within 6 h but did not change significantly after 6 h, showing no significant difference between any 2 time points afterwards ( P>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in the expression of Tau protein and p-Tau protein between the SCII group and the sham operation group at each time point ( P<0.05). Conclusion:It is hopeful to reduce the severity of spinal cord injury by regulating the expression of Tau protein and p-Tau protein within 6 to 48 hours after SCII.

Objective To investigate the status and the relationship between obesity and high blood pressure in children and adolescents in Tianjin, and to provide a reference for the development of targeted prevention and control measures for high blood pressure in children and adolescents. Methods In September 2019, a stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 30 403 children and adolescents aged 7-17 from 94 primary and secondary schools in 16 districts in Tianjin. Height, weight and blood pressure were measured by standard methods. SPSS 24.0 was used for χ2 test, variance analysis and binary logistic regression. Results The detection rate of overweight in children and adolescents in Tianjin was 17.28%, including 19.32% in boys and 15.07% in girls. The detection rate of obesity in children and adolescents in Tianjin was 22.79%, including 27.20% in boys and 18.01% in girls. The detection rate of high blood pressure in children and adolescents in Tianjin was 20.88%, including 20.98% in boys and 20.77% in girls. The detection rates of high blood pressure in the normal BMI group, overweight group and obesity group were 14.03%, 23.41% and 36.95%, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). Compared to the normal BMI group, overweight and obesity were risk factors for high blood pressure in children and adolescents (OR=1.872, 95% CI:1.735~2.021; OR=3.598, 95% CI:3.366~3.827). Conclusion Overweight and obesity were important influencing factors for high blood pressure in children and adolescents aged 7-17 years. Controlling overweight and obesity is an important means to effectively cope with high blood pressure.

Extrarenal Wilms′ tumor is extremely rare and has no characteristic clinical manifestations. Diagnosis is difficult before surgery, and is often confirmed by histopathology. Comprehensive treatment by surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy is currently adopted for such patients, and the overall survival rate can reach about 90%. Here we report a 2-year-old child with Wilms′ tumor in the left scrotum.

Chorioamnionitis is associated with high maternal and neonatal morbidity and serious complication. In developed countries, due to timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment, it is getting a great progress in the treatment of chorioamnionitis. In the developing countries, where lack the healthcare facilities and effect diagnosis, women are frequently overlooked and not properly treated. In addition to its impact on maternal health, a significant morbidity and mortality will happen in neonate. We discuss chorioamnionitis from pathogenesis to therapeutic environment.

Objective@#To preliminarily evaluate the clinical effect of the three-dimensional (3D) printing individualized titanium mesh combined with guided bone regeneration technology for repairing alveolar bone defects.@*Methods@#Six patients with alveolar bone defects (4 males and 2 females, aged 18-27 years, mean 23.3 years) were selected from the Department of Oral Implantology, Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January to June 2018. The patients′ cone-beam CT (CBCT) data was imported into the digital design software, and the individualized titanium meshes were designed based on the ideal bone mass around the implant, alveolar bone morphology and soft tissue condition. Then, the ".stl" files were output and the meshes were fabricated by 3D printing technology. The individualized titanium meshes combined with the mixture of autogenous bone and bone substitute materials were used to augmentation during operation. All patients were reviewed at 1, 3 and 6 months after surgery to observe the complications and evaluate the effect of bone augmentation. After taking out the titanium mesh, the CBCT was compared with the preoperative CBCT. The increased bone height and bone width were measured and the bone incremental volume was calculated.@*Results@#Titanium mesh exposure occurred in 2 patients with no obvious infection, and no early removal. In 6 patients, the bone width increased by 1.75-7.54 mm (mean 3.58 mm), the bone height increased by 0.91-11.80 mm (mean 3.37 mm), and bone incremental volume increased by 247-676 mm3 (mean 503 mm3). All of the cases showed sufficiently grafted volume for implant placement.@*Conclusions@#The individualized 3D printing titanium meshes combined with guided bone regeneration could repair alveolar bone defects with excellent clinical effect, but a better design needed to be explored in the future to solve or delay the exposure of titanium mesh.

This project was launched to and establish the wavelength overlapping HPLC fingerprint for Danshen and determine the contents of 7 component in Danshen. The chromatographic fingerprints were built by using Agilent Eclipse Plus C_(18)( 4. 6 mm×100 mm,3. 5 μm) as stationary phase and 0. 1% formic acid solution( A)-acetonitrile( B) as mobile phase with gradient elution( 0-5 min,10%-20% B; 5-20 min,20%-30% B; 20-25 min,30%-50% B; 25-40 min,50%-65% B; 40-45 min,65%-80% B; 45-46 min,80%-10% B; 46-50 min,10% B) at a flow rate of 1 mL·min~(-1). The column temperature was maintained at 30 ℃ and the detection wavelength was set at 250,280,310 and 340 nm. The technique of wavelength overlapping fingerprint was established and the contents of 7 indicative compounds have been determined in this method. The results of wavelength overlapping HPLC fingerprint showed all-around information of the fingerprints at 250,280,310 and 340 nm,and the similarity among 17 batches of Danshen was over 0. 828-0. 936. In wavelength overlapping HPLC fingerprint,15 common peaks were selected as the common peaks,and 7 contents of them were indentified as rosmarinic acid,salvianolic acid B,salvianolic acid A,phenolic acid,dihydrotanshinone Ⅰ,tanshinone Ⅰ and tanshinone ⅡA. The results of methodological study demonstrated that the method met the requirements of the determination. The method established in this study is simple,convenient and durable,which can provide a scientific basis for the quality control of Danshen.

OBJECTIVE@#To compare the clinical effects of a modified socket shield technique (SST) and the conventional immediate implant placement in the esthetic zone.@*METHODS@#Twenty-four patients with one hopeless upper incisor were consecutively enrolled in this study. All patients were scheduled for immediate implant placement. Twelve patients underwent a modified SST (experimental group) whereas the others underwent conventional procedures (control group). Radiographic and clinical data were obtained preoperatively, immediately after surgery, and 12 months after surgery. The success rate of the implants, the pink esthetic score (PES) and patient satisfaction were analyzed. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 21.0 software.@*RESULTS@#One year after operation, the success rate of the implants was 100% in both groups. The PES and patient satisfaction of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The buccal bone plate resorbed less in the experimental group than in the control group (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#The modified SST is advantageous over the conventional immediate implant placement in terms of buccal bone and soft tissue maintenance.

Results The chest had advantages in meeting military and practical requirements as well as fulfilling military-civilian integration, disadvantages in deficiency of specialized mobile network, specific signs acquisition devices and mature operation mechanism, opportunities in national health program, military development and mobile internet as well as the threatening factors in non-unified interface standard,untimely policy issuing and unclear definition of responsibility,rights and interests.Conclusion Considerations have to be taken on internet application and policy institution to facilitate military telemedicine support.

The 1-DNJ named 1-deoxynojirimycinis (2R,3R,4R,5S)-2-(hydroxymethyl) piperidine-3,4,5-triol, which is the nature active components existingin mulberryresources including leaves, stems, roots and silkworm larva, silkworm chrysalis, etc.The 1-deoxynojirimycin is a polyhydroxylated piperidine alkaloid, which was first found in Streptomyces as an antibiotic. Then the Japanese researchers isolated it from the mulberry root. 1-DNJ can inhibit postprandial hyperglycemia by suppressing intestinal alpha glucosidase. Therefore, 1-DNJ is often used to treat treating diabetes and complicating disease and to prevent obesity and weight-related disorders. With the development of the researches, 1-deoxynojirimycin and its derivtiv was discovered to possess anti-hyperglycemic, anti-virus, anti-tumor functions and so on. Therefore,based on our current studythe existing knowledge on source, technique preparation process, pharmacokinetics, bioactivties,and in silico target fishing of 1-DNJ were summarized, so that the researchers may use it to explore future perspective of research on 1-DNJ.

Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy ( LIBS ) was proposed to rapidly discriminate microbe species. Ten species of microbes were prepared in lab. Filter papers were selected as substrate for enriching bacteria and enhancing the quality of LIBS. The images of plasma were collected by ICCD camera and LIBS spectra were obtained by spectrometers. The results displayed that the images and spectra were different from 10 bacteria. It was demonstrated that this method was feasible to discriminate bacteria species by analyzing image and/or spectroscopy. Furthermore, nine smooth and multiple scattering correction ( MSC) were utilized to preprocess the LIBS full-spectrum data in the wavelength range of 200-420 nm and 560-680 nm. And principal component analysis ( PCA) and PCA-RF ( Random forest) were compared to validate the accuracy of discrimination. The investigation showed that the PCA-RF model coupled with suitable methods in preprocessing data could identify bacteria. The accuracy was 99. 6% for ten species of microbes by evaluating LIBS spectra in training set, and 96. 7% in predicting set. This report indicated that it is feasible to differentiate bacteria species by analyzing LIBS spectra.

Objective: To observe and summarize the routine maintenance situation, and research relevant countermeasure and provide the optimal solution based on the problems in maintenance of medical equipment. Methods: To adopt SWOT method to analyze the problem of equipment maintenance, and make effective countermeasures by using relevant statistical methods. Results: The SWOT method that was applied in maintenance work has improved accuracy of maintenance work for equipment, and increased operation rate of equipment and serviceability rate, at the same time, the satisfied degree of medical staffs and patients has been increased. Conclusion: Through SWOT method to analyze the situation of maintenance for equipment, the work key points can be effectively improved, and the blindness and dead ends of equipment maintenance management can be found. Therefore, this method can reduce the labour intensity of maintenance staffs, increase work efficiency, and provide essential guarantee for medical work of hospital.

Objective:To study the influence of Cm-Sn-Ls and Li-Sm-Pg angle change on facial 3D aesthetics and to compare the aesthetic evaluation difference between orthodontic professionals and non-professionals.Methods:Facial photographs of a skeletal class Ⅱ and a class Ⅲ subject were respectively obtained and 3D head inodels were created by 3DMAX.Then 16 head models were obtained for each subject by changing Cm-Sn-Ls and Li-Sm-Pg angles.30 othodontic professionals and 60 non-professionals were chosen to score the models by NRS.Results:For class Ⅱ subject,the 2 groups gave lowest score to original profile,Cm-Sn-Ls and Li-Sm-Pg angle change of + 15°,-15°;the professionals gave highest score to(+ 10°,0)、(+ 15°,0),while non-professionals gave highest score to (+ 5 °,-5 °) and (+ 5°,-10°).For class Ⅲ subject,the 2 groups selected original profile,(0,+ 15 °) and (0,+ 10°) for lowest score,and professionals selected (-5°,+ 15°) 、(-10°,+ 15°) for highest score,while non-professionals choose (-10°,+5°) 、(-15°,0) for highest score (between groups,P < 0.05).Conclusion:Both orthodontic professionals and non-professionals like the profile with appropriate compensation for skeletal class Ⅱ and class Ⅲ patients,but there is some aesthetic difference about the amount of compensation between the two groups.

Objective To study the intake of iodine and iodine nutritional status of adults and provide a scientific basis for choosing appropriate salt iodine content in the region.Methods By using multi stage random sampling method,according to the four corners of 4 directions,4 non water iodine counties or districts were selected from Nankai District,Jixian County,Dagang District and Hangu District.Totally 1 to 4 administrative villages were selected (neighborhood committees) from each district or county as the survey points.Ten to 15 households were selected from each survey points.All the members more than 18 years old of each household were investigated (excluding pregnant and lactating women).Of the 225 households,404 people,salt iodine of the family,urinary iodine and water iodine were detected.The questionnaire survey was used to investigate the daily salt intake of residents per capita.The daily intake of iodine was calculated by the method of dietary frequency.Salt iodine content was detected by direct titration method;iodine in water was detected by cerium sulfate catalytic spectrophotometry;urinary iodine was detected by arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometry.Results A total of 24 drinking water samples were tested,the median water iodine was 8.0 μg/L.A total of 225 salt samples and 404urine samples were tested,the medians of family salt and urinary iodine were 23.30 mg/kg and 149.0 μg/L,respectively.Investigation was done on salt intake and dietary intake of 393 people,the per capita consumption of salt intake was (11.45 ± 5.70) g/d.Salt supplied 148.75 μg/d iodine and food supplied 82.47 μg/d iodine.The total contribution rate of iodized salt to the total iodine intake was 68.99% (193.18/280.00) in the population of iodized salt consumer.The value of urinary iodine and iodine intake were correlated (r =0.170,P < 0.05).Conclusions The adult iodine nutrition in Tianjin city is in the appropriate level.Iodized salt is the main source of iodine intake for adults,so salt iodine is a indispensable iodine nutrition source for adults.
