ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the underlying mechanism of Huayu Xiaozheng granule(HYXZ)in the treatment of ectopic pregnancy(EP).Methods The potential ingredients and targets of HYXZ were identified and screened.PPI network,GO enrichment and KEGG pathway analysis were established to understand the potential and intricate mechanism of HYXZ in treating EP.The effects of HYXZ on HTR-8/SVneo cells migration and invasion were detected by wounding healing assay and transwell migration assay respectively,as well as the influence of HYXZ granule on JAK/STAT pathway and associated proteins were assessed by western blot under the control of JAK/STAT pathway inhibitor and agonist. Results A total of 375 active ingredients,45 known targets and 207 predicted targets of HYXZ were obtained.A PPI network has constructed to know the relationship of 252 common targets of drug targets and disease targets, from which we screened out 15 key targets:STAT3,MMP9,TLR4,HIF1A and others.Scratch test showed that HYXZ inhibited the migration of the HTR-8/SVneo cells cells in a time and dose-dependent manner;Transwell test showed that the number of transmembrane cells decreased significantly(P<0.05)after 48 h with various concentrations of HYXZ;Western blot experiment showed that the expression of JAK/STAT pathway protein decreased significantly(P<0.05);and the expression of its related proteins uPA,HIF1and N-cadherin were inhibited(P<0.05),the tendency of which was consistent with the inhibitor AG490,but opposite to the agonist IL-6.Conclusion HYXZ inhibited JAK/STAT pathway, and associated proteins uPA,HIF1A and N-cadherin,thereby suppressing the mobility and invasiveness of the HTR-8/SVneo cells, which is conductive to clarify the mechanism of HYXZ in the treatment of early EP.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the efficacy, bleeding profile and safety of low-dose levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS 8) in Chinese healthy women of childbearing age. Methods A multi-center,open-label,single-arm clinical trial conducted at 16 centres in China enrolled 773 healthy women of childbearing age (mean age 31.6 years old, range 18 to 40 years old),who demanded contraception, from April 2006 to June 2013.All women placed LNG-IUS 8 for 3 years and then been followed up at 3,6,9,12,18,24,30,36 months. The efficacy variables including pregnancy rate and expulsion rate were analyzed using life table, while observing adverse events (AE) to evaluate the safety. The bleeding profile happened during the study was assessed using 90-day reference intervals (World Health Organization criteria). Results Eight pregnancies occurred among 773 women, resulting in a overall Pearl index of 0.42 per 100 women years. The 3-year cumulative pregnancy rate was 0.37 per 100 women years and the 3-year cumulative expulsion rate was 1.99 per 100 women years. The number of women with bleeding/spotting reduced and the bleeding/spotting days declined over time.Totally 219 AE were reported related to LNG-IUS 8 placements. The most common AE were vaginal bleeding (8.2%,63/773)and the ovarian cyst (6.2%,52/773).LNG-IUS 8 had an improving effect on dysmenorrhea that the percentage of women with dysmenorrhea as well as the days of dysmenorrhea decreased over time. The percentage of women satisfied or very satisfied with LNG-IUS 8 was 87.2% (622/713).Conclusion LNG-IUS 8 is highly effective and safe for Chinese healthy women of childbearing age.

ABSTRACT

CM gynecology is one of the main courses of traditional Chinese medicine. The cultivation of the doctor-patient communication skills is a very important among the eduction of graduate students. The paper was encouraged to summarize the condition and problems of doctor-patient communication, in order to standardize CM gynecology training and improve the quality of teaching practice.

ABSTRACT

Interventional therapy is characterized by mini-invasion, accuracy, obvious curative effect and little side effect. In China, interventional therapy has been applied widely in the treatment of malignant carcinoma in recent 10 years. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) also has been adopted in the interventional therapy in recent years. This article reviews the history, status quo and prospect in interventional treatment of carcinoma with traditional Chinese medicine in experimental and clinical domains in recent years. Interventional therapy combined with TCM preparation directly or TCM therapy as a supplementary method of interventional therapy for carcinoma has played an active role in improving clinical curative effect, controlling and reducing toxic side effect and complications.

ABSTRACT

A prospective clinical trial was carried out to explore the hemostatic effect of Gongxueting Mixture on metrorrhagia and metrostaxis with blood stasis syndrome and its mechanism. Bleeding time and bleeding volume in 37 cases were detected before and after treatment to assay the hemostatic effect. Indexes of blood analysis, blood rheology, blood coagulation and prostaglandin in 8 cases were determined to study the mechanism. The results showed that Gongxueting Mixture shortened the menstrual period and regulated the volume of menses (P 0.05 ). It is concluded that Gongxueting Mixture is effective for metrorrhagia and metrostaxis with blood stasis syndrome (the total effective rate being 91.89% ), and enhancement of platelet aggregation, promotion of fibrinolytic activity and regulation of prostaglandin release may be its hemostatic mechanism.
