ABSTRACT

Objective@#To evaluate the efficacy of fumigation with Shujin-Jieluan Decoction combined with Pingheng-Shujin Manipulation (manipulation of balance and muscle tendon relaxing) in the treatment of chirospasm after stroke.@*Methods@#A total of 104 patients with chirospasm after stroke who metthe inclusion criteria from July 2016 to June 2018 were selectedand divided into tow groups with the digital table methodwith 52 cases in each group. The control group was given routine rehabilitation training while the observation group was given fumigation with Shujin-Jieluan decoction combined with Pingheng-Shujin manipulation based oncontrol group, and the two groups both were treated for 8 weeks. The Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) was used for chirospasm classification, and Key Point tabletop electromyography device was used to record the frequency, average amplitude and the shortest latency of F wave of median nerve. Fugl-Meyer motor function rating scale was used to evaluate hand motor function, and modified Barthel Index (BI) was used to evaluate life functionand clinical efficacy.@*Results@#The effective rate was 88.5% (46/52) in observation group and was 65.4% (34/52) in control group (χ2=7.800, P=0.005). After treatment, the frequency (15.11 ± 2.06 vs. 16.72 ± 1.95, t=4.093), average amplitude (0.52 ± 0.04 mV vs. 0.59 ± 0.05 mV, t=7.883) and the shortest latency (24.37 ± 2.85 ms vs. 25.88 ± 2.43 ms, t=2.907) of F wave in observation group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01). Fugl-Meyer hand function score (6.51 ± 1.45 vs. 5.09 ± 1.22, t=5.404) and BI index score (60.87 ± 5.16 vs. 56.54 ± 4.25, t=4.671) were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.01). The distribution of MAS classification in observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (Z=8.410, P=0.004).@*Conclusions@#Fumigation with Shujin-Jieluan Decoction combined with Pingheng-Shujin Manipulation can improve the neuromuscular transmission of patients with chirospasm after stroke, and facilitate the recovery of hand function and viability.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of apoptotic protease activating factor 1 (Apaf-1) and bax in prostate cancer (PCa) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of Apaf-1 and bax in the tissues from 45 PCa patients and 60 BPH patients. Results The positive rates of Apaf-1 and bax in PCa tissues were 22.22%(10/45) and 20.00 % (9/45), respectively, while those in BPH tissues were 48.33 % (29/60) and 46.67 % (28/60). There was a statistically significant difference in the expressions of Apaf-1 and bax between two groups (P0.05), but they were correlated with the pathological grade and clinical stage of PCa (P< 0.05). The expressions of Apaf-1 and bax in PCa tissues were lower than those in BPH tissues. There was a positive correlation between the expression of Apaf-1 and bax (r=0.535, P<0.01). Conclusion Apaf-1 and bax might be correlated with the carcinogenesis and development of PCa.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the value of 18F-FDG PET/CT for differentiating multiple myeloma from bone metastases with undetermined origin.Methods A retrospective study was performed on patients with multiple bone destructions and without extraosseous primary malignant tumor in 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging.A total of 26 patients (12 males,average age 55.4 years) with multiple myeloma and 20 patients (9 males,average age 50.2 years) with multiple bone metastases confirmed by biopsy or histopathology from January 2011 to December 2013 were included into this study.The characteristics of 18F-FDG PET/CT and urine Bence-Jones protein were used to establish the diagnostic criteria.Myeloma was diagnosed if two or more of the following conditions could be satisfied:more than 10 bone lesions,osteolytic or mixed bone destruction,SUVmax<4.0,and positive urine Bence-Jones protein.Two-sample t test and x2 test were used.Results The average number of bone lesions in multiple myeloma patients was 15.8,which was more than that (7.8) in patients with bone metastases.About 71.8% (296/412) of bone lesions in multiple myeloma and 28.8% (45/156) of bone metastases were osteolytic.The percentage of osteolytic lesions was significantly higher in multiple myeloma (x2=87.2,P<0.05).The SUVmax of bone lesions of multiple myeloma and bone metastases were 3.81 ±2.17 and 5.82± 3.44 (t =8.29,P<0.05) respectively.According to the diagnostic criteria,the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of 18F-FDG PET/CT for the differentiation of myeloma from bone metastases were 88.5% (23/26),85.0% (17/20) and 87.0% (40/46).Its diagnostic efficiency was higher than urine Bence-Jones protein (sensitivity:65.4% (17/26);x2=3.90) and original 18 F-FDG PET/CT evaluation (specificity:10/18,accuracy:64.1% (25/39);x2 =3.99,6.12) respectively (all P<0.05).Conclusion Combining the evaluation of structural properties and metabolism on 18F-FDG PET/CT with urine Bence-Jones protein level may provide additional value for the differentiation of multiple myeloma from bone metastases with undetermined origin.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy in the treatment of early diabetic nephropathy from ro-suvastatin combined with benazepril .Methods 107 patients of early diabetic nephropathy in our hospital were retro-spectively analyzed .On the basis of the conventional treatment of diabetes ,the control group were treated with benaze-pril;while the observation group were treated with rosuvastatin combined with benazepril .Before and after treatment , the improvement of the related indicators were observed , such as blood glucose ,lipids and renal function .The clinical efficacy were comprehensively evaluated .Results The level of the fasting blood glucose and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose of the observation group were lower than those of the control group , the difference was significant ( t=9.785,9.525,all P<0.05);the blood lipid levels such as TC ,TG and LDL-C in the observation group were signifi-cantly lower than those of the control group .But the levels of HDL-c was significantly increased , the difference was significant(t=9.938,10.283,10.475,9.782,allP<0.05);the indicators of renal function such as UAER ,Scr and BUN were significantly lower than those of the control group , the difference was significant ( t =9.938,12.341, 11.265,9.982,all P<0.05);The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.55%,significantly higher than the 76.92%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (χ2 =10.120,P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of rosuvastatin combined with benazepril for the treatment of early diabetic nephropathy is very significant which is worthy applying in clinical practice .

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the assistant method for improving and promoting nervous movement functional recovery on neonate hypoxie ischemic encephalopathy. Methods Eighty-five patients with neonate hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy were divided into two groups: observed group (45 cases) and control group(40 cases). Observed group added early exercises intervention on basis of routine synthetic drug treatment, compared to control group which just purely synthetic drug treatment with neonatal behavior neurological assessment (NBNA), mental development index (MDI) and psychomotor development index (PDI). Results NBNA at 14 days [(38.84±1.56)scores] in observed group was significantly higher than that in control group [(36.12±2.23)scores]. PDI at 6, 12 months and MDI at 12 months in observed group were significantly higher than those in control group. Conclusion Early exercises intervention can promote nervous movement functional recovery on neonate hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, prevent or lessen brain injury sequels, elevate life quality for patients with neonate hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy.
