ABSTRACT

Objective:Migraine and tremor share some genetic mutation sites, and clinical studies have also confirmed their correlation. This study aims to explore the clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of migraine patients with concomitant tremor, and to analyze the relevant influential factors of tremor occurrence. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 217 migraine patients who visited the Third Affiliated Hospital of Qiqihar Medical University from June 2022 to October 2023.The Clinical Rating Scale for Tremor(CRST),Numerical Rating Scale(NRS),Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7(GAD-7),and Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)were respectively used to assess the tremor symptoms, degree of headache, anxiety, and depression of patients. All patients underwent routine head MR scanning and electromyography examination, and were divided into a migraine with tremor group and a migraine without tremor group based on the electromyogram examination. Results:The migraine with tremor group and the migraine without tremor group were included 52 patients(23.96%)and 165 patients(76.04%),respectively.Compared with the migraine without tremor group, the migraine with tremor group had a longer course and duration of headache, higher frequency of headache attacks, higher NRS score,GAD-7 score, and PHQ-9 score, and fewer weekly physical exercises. The differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the presence or absence of prodromal headache and white matter hyperintensities(WMHs)between the 2 groups(both P>0.05).The evaluation results of the CRST showed that out of 217 migraine patients,39 patients(17.97%)were accompanied by tremors. The electromyographic results showed that all 52 migraine patients with tremors had upper limb tremors, including 28 migraine patients with postural tremors and 24 migraine patients with static tremors.Compared with the migraine patients with static tremors, the migraine patients with postural tremors had lower average frequency, peak frequency, and headache onset frequency(all P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that frequency of physical exercise, duration of illness, frequency of headache attacks,NRS score,GAD-7 score, and PHQ-9 score were risk factors for migraine patients with concomitant tremors(all P<0.05). Conclusion:Patients with migraine mainly experience upper limb postural tremors.Reduced physical exercise, long course of disease, long duration of headache, frequent headache attacks, severe headache, anxiety, and depression are risk factors for migraine patients with concomitant tremors.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the effects of endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) and autophagy mechanisms in the pathogenesis of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).Methods:A total of 39 newborn SD rats were randomly assigned into 3 groups: the NEC group (NEC model: artificial feeding+hypoxic stimulation+intragastric injection of lipopolysaccharides), the ERS antagonist group (NEC model+intraperitoneal injection of 4-phenylbutyric acid) and the ERS inducer group (NEC model+intraperitoneal injection of tunicamycin). After successful modeling, the rats were sacrificed and intestinal tissues were obtained. The intestinal pathology was observed using electronic microscope. Intestinal fatty acid binding protein (I-FABP) was detected using ELISA. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was used to examine mRNA levels of glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) and oxygen-regulated protein 150 (ORP150). Western-blot was used to detect p62 and autophagy-related proteins (microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3)Ⅱ and LC3Ⅰ) and LC3Ⅱ/LC3Ⅰ ratio was calculated.Results:(1) For all 3 groups, the pathological scores of rat intestines were≥2. (2) The ERS inducer group showed significantly higher clinical score, pathological score, I-FABP level, GRP78 and ORP150 mRNA levels and LC3Ⅱ/ LC3Ⅰ ratio than the NEC group and ERS antagonist group, and the NEC group higher than the ERS antagonist group ( P<0.05). The p62 level in the ERS inducer group was significantly lower than the NEC group and the ERS antagonist group, and the NEC group lower than the ERS antagonist group ( P<0.05). (3) The LC3Ⅱ/ LC3Ⅰ ratio was positively correlated with clinical score, pathological score and I-FABP level ( P<0.05). The p62 level was negatively correlated with clinical score, pathological score and I-FABP level ( P<0.05). The mRNA levels of GRP78 and ORP150 were positively correlated with clinical score, pathological score and I-FABP level ( P<0.05). LC3Ⅱ/ LC3Ⅰ ratio was positively correlated with the mRNA levels of GRP78 and ORP150 ( P<0.05). The p62 level was negatively correlated with the mRNA levels of GRP78 and ORP150 ( P<0.05). Conclusions:ERS is associated with the pathogenesis of NEC. Inhibition of ERS can reduce autophagy and improve intestinal barrier function and clinical symptoms of NEC.

ABSTRACT

Non-suicidal self-injury is a prevalent pathological behavior in clinical settings, significantly impacting both physical and mental health.Non-suicidal self-injury is closely associated with the abnormal perception of pain.Pain can be classified as physiological pain and social pain.In contrast to healthy people, individuals engaging in non-suicidal self-harm exhibit lower sensitivity to physiological pain but higher sensitivity to social pain.Their physiological pain thresholds are elevated, while their social pain thresholds are reduced. The alterations in pain sensitivity led them to alleviate emotions through a"pain to counter pain"approach. The abnormalities in pain sensitivity among individuals who engage in non-suicidal self-injury are closely linked to their social and psychological factors.Self-criticism,depressive symptoms, and adverse childhood experiences are all associated with the pain sensitivity of non-suicidal self-harm patients.

Objective:To study the effect of gauze filtration on the content of adipose stem cells in fat gel. Methods:In March 2022, fat samples from 5 patients who underwent abdominal fat aspiration at the Hunan Provincial People′s Hospital were collected, prepared fat ged, the fat gel was filtered 1-5 times with 2 layers of gauze, and the amount of fat gel passing through a 1 ml threaded syringe with a 27 G needle was measured after each filtration. At the same time, the content of fat stem cells in the filtered fat gel was detected by flow cytometry. Results:As the number of filters increases, the amount of fat gel passing through gradually increased. The increasing trend was obvious after the first to fourth filters, and the increasing trend slowed down after the fifth filter. After statistical analysis, the differences between the first filter and the second filter, the second filter and the third filter, and the third filter and the fourth filter were statistically significant ( P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the fourth filter and the fifth filter ( P>0.05). As the number of filters increased, the content of adipose stem cells in the fat gel gradually decreased. The decreasing trend was obvious after the first to third filters, and the decreasing trend slowed down after the fourth filter. After statistical analysis, the differences between the first filter and the second filter, as well as the second filter and the third filter, were statistically significant (all P<0.05). However, there was no statistically significant difference between the third filter and the fourth filter, and the fourth filter and the fifth filter (all P>0.05). Conclusions:The more times gauze is filtered, the better the permeability of fat gel. However, the content of adipose stem cells will significantly decrease in the first three filters. Therefore, the number of times gauze is filtered for fat gel should be minimized as much as possible.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the structural changes and reasons for hospitalization expenditure among patients with thyroid cancer,so as to provide a reference basis for reasonable control of medical costs, making the structure of hospitalisation costs for patients undergoing surgery for thyroid cancer more rational. Methods The degree of structural change and the grey correlation method were used to quantitatively analyze the changes in the structure of hospitalization expenses and the degree of correlation of patients with thyroid cancer surgery in a hospital in Shanxi Province from 2017 to 2022.Results From 2017 to 2022,the hospitalization expenses of thyroid cancer surgery patients in the hospital showed a decreasing trend, and drug fees and consumables fees accounted for a large proportion.Consumables fees and treatment fees showed positive contribution changes, drug fees and diagnosis fees showed negative contribution changes.Nursing fees and general medical service fees showed positive contribution changes, but were not obvious.During the 6-year period, the top two related factors affecting the hospitalization expenses of thyroid cancer patients were drug fees and consumables fees. Conclusion The structure of hospitalization expenses of per thyroid cancer patients tends to be reasonable, but there is still a large room for improvement. It is suggested to continue to strengthen the control of drugs and medical consumables, and clarify the value composition of technical labor and material consumables,so as to further optimize the structure of hospitalization expenses.
