ABSTRACT

Entinostat plus exemestane in hormone receptor-positive (HR+) advanced breast cancer (ABC) previously showed encouraging outcomes. This multicenter phase 3 trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of entinostat plus exemestane in Chinese patients with HR + ABC that relapsed/progressed after ≥1 endocrine therapy. Patients were randomized (2:1) to oral exemestane 25 mg/day plus entinostat (n = 235) or placebo (n = 119) 5 mg/week in 28-day cycles. The primary endpoint was the independent radiographic committee (IRC)-assessed progression-free survival (PFS). The median age was 52 (range, 28-75) years and 222 (62.7%) patients were postmenopausal. CDK4/6 inhibitors and fulvestrant were previously used in 23 (6.5%) and 92 (26.0%) patients, respectively. The baseline characteristics were comparable between the entinostat and placebo groups. The median PFS was 6.32 (95% CI, 5.30-9.11) and 3.72 (95% CI, 1.91-5.49) months in the entinostat and placebo groups (HR, 0.76; 95% CI, 0.58-0.98; P = 0.046), respectively. Grade ≥3 adverse events (AEs) occurred in 154 (65.5%) patients in the entinostat group versus 23 (19.3%) in the placebo group, and the most common grade ≥3 treatment-related AEs were neutropenia [103 (43.8%)], thrombocytopenia [20 (8.5%)], and leucopenia [15 (6.4%)]. Entinostat plus exemestane significantly improved PFS compared with exemestane, with generally manageable toxicities in HR + ABC (ClinicalTrials.gov #NCT03538171).

ABSTRACT

This paper summerized the common problems existing in manuscript received from nursing staff, such as selection of a subject, English abstract, research object, scientific research and design. We expect that the nursing staff can improve their scientific quality by self-summary and self exercise in order to realize the stable development of nursing specialty.

ABSTRACT

The professional quality of editors is the guarantee of the comprehensive quality of scientific and technological journals. As modern editors, we need to be versatile. We should not only master solid professional knowledge, but also be familiar with the relevant areas of knowledge. We should not only constantly learn knowledge in the competition and improve ourselves, but also be a good linkman among authors, review experts, readers. Only through multi-efforts can we improve the quality of manuscripts and run professional periodicals well.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of O2O model on young and middle-aged lymphoma patients undergoing chemotherapy. Methods:From February to December in 2019, 68 newly diagnosed lymphoma patients who were hospitalized in the lymphoma ward of our hospital were selected as the research object, and divided into intervention group (32 cases) and control group according to the order of admission (36 cases), the intervention group was used O2O model, and the control group was used general care combined with symptom diary, after 6 cycles′ intervention time, We compare the effects of the two groups of patients by using self-management scale and quality of life assessment scale. Results:Comparison of self-management ability: after intervention, the patients in the intervention group scored in the six dimensions of total self-management, daily life management, symptom management, psychological management, communication with medical staff, information management and self-efficacy, respectively(4.37±0.31), (4.05±0.47), (4.45±0.54), (4.10±0.45), (4.30±0.49), (3.88±0.59), (4.73±0.34) points, the control group were (3.92±0.43), (3.75±0.61), (3.55±0.69), (3.75±0.66), (3.58±0.86), (3.26±0.80), (4.40±0.74) points, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( t value was 2.263-5.944, P <0.05). Comparison of quality of life: after intervention, the scores of the patients in the intervention group in the two dimensions of total quality of life, physical condition and condition were (68.52±9.02), (16.97±2.31), (15.13±2.60) points, the control group were (64.06±6.84), (14.81±2.04), (13.97±1.99) points, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( t value was 2.337, 4.101, 2.065, P<0.05). Conclusions:The O2O model can improve the self-management ability of patients with lymphoma and improve the quality of life of patients during chemotherapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the experience and needs of elderly specialist nurses during the period of specialist training, and to provide reference and basis for the establishment of a more perfect training plan for elderly specialist nurses. Methods A one-to-one in-depth interview was conducted among 5 students in the third training course of the Beijing Nursing Society with the method of phenomenological research. Colaizzi undefineds seven-step data method of phenomenology was used to analyze the results. Results Five topics were abstracted from the experience of training aged specialist nurses, including stress, safety awareness, harvest and growth, professional pride, teaching teachersundefined views and suggestions on scientific research. Conclusions The curriculum setup of elderly specialist nurses needs to be optimized. It is necessary to strengthen the training of scientific research, optimize the teachersundefined strength and perfect the training means, and the managers should formulate the specialty and standardization of the elderly nursing as soon as possible. To provide the necessary support for the training of elderly specialist nurses.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To design the protection of peritoneal dialysis catheter and solve the problem of broken peritoneal dialysis catheter during clinical use.@*Methods@#A total of 94 patients with end-stage renal disease who received newly opened peritoneal dialysis in the Department of Nephrology, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected as research objects. In order of the time of tube opening, 47 patients with singular ordinal number receiving treatment were set as the control group, and 47 patients with even ordinal number receiving treatment were set as the observation group. The patients of control group, using the traditional peritoneal dialysis tube nursing; the patients of observation group, using anti - broken peritoneal dialysis tube for nursing. To observe and compare the incidence of dialysis catheter loosening and breakage during dialysis in the 2 groups of peritoneal dialysis patients, as well as the patient satisfaction.@*Results@#The catheter crease deformation of the observation group(0 case) was significantly lower than that of the control group (12 cases), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=13.610, P<0.05). The total satisfaction of patients in the observation group was 97.87% (46/47), while that of patients in the control group was 72.34% (30/47). The total satisfaction rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (χ2=12.086, P<0.01). No leakage occurred in the observation group, which was also significantly lower than that in the control group. However, due to the limited observation time, the number of cases was small without statistical significance (P>0.05).@*Conclusions@#The improved peritoneal dialysis catheter is more convenient, safe and effective for long-term peritoneal dialysis patients, and it can reduce the incidence of peritonitis associated with peritoneal dialysis catheter, which is worthy of clinical application.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the neuropotective effect and anticoagulation effect of total Saponins of Radix Liriopes on focal cerebral ischemia in rats.METHODS:Chemical reagent Fecl3 was locally applied on the injured vessels to establish middle cerebral artery thrombosis model, and the effects of total Saponins of Radix Liriopes on rats' behavioral disturbance, brain infarct size, the histopathological changes in brain and the expression rate of nNOS immunoreactive positive neurons were measured, and the bleeding time and coagulation time were also detected with glass tube method and tail transection method.RESULTS:Due to the use of total Saponin of Radix Liriopes(10 and 40mg? kg-1),the brain infarct size was significantly decreased, the behavioral disturbance were improved and the expression rate of the nNOS immunoreactive positive neurons in rats were decreased. At doses of 20 and 60mg? kg-1,total Saponin of Radix Liriopes significantly prolonged the coagulation time and bleeding time.CONCLUSION:Total Saponin of Radix Liriopes has nuroprotective effect on focal cerebral ischemia induced by middle cerebral artery thrombosis and significant anticoagulation effect.
