ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze the acupoint selection rules of acupuncture for the treatment of tic disorders in children based on data mining techniques. Methods A computerized search was conducted for the clinical research literature on acupuncture treatment of tic disorders in children included in the CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,SinoMed,and PubMed databases from January 1992 to December 2022.A database was established by Excel 2019 to count the commonly used treatment methods and analyze the high-frequency application methods acupuncture(high-frequency acupoints, channel entry of acupoints, acupoint association rules, and acupoint clustering),auricular point seed-pressing(high-frequency auricular points, and acupoint association rules),and the high frequency division of cluster needling of scalp point. Results A total of 190 valid literature articles were included, involving 270 acupuncture prescriptions;among them,184 acupoints were counted in the acupuncture method, with a total application frequency of 1 906 times, and the high-frequency application of the acupoints in descending order were Baihui(DU20),Taichong(LR3),Fengchi(GB20),Hegu(LI4),Sanyinjiao(SP6),Neiguan(PC6),Shenmen(HT7),Zusanli(ST36),Yintang(EX-HN3),Sishencong(EX-HN1);and the high-frequency meridians were governor vessol, foot taiyang stomach meridian, foot taiyang stomach meridian, foot shaoyang gallbladder meridian, hand taiyang large intestine meridian, foot taiyang bladder meridian, foot jueyin gallbladder meridian;three sets of strong association rules and five clusters of acupoints were analyzed by SPSS modeler 18.0 and IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 software. There were 29 acupoints of auricular point seed-pressing,application total frequency was 206 times,high-frequency application of auricular points in descending order of Shenmen(HT7),liver,heart,subcortex,kidney;four groups of acupoint strong association rules were obtained through the analysis of SPSS modeler 18.0 software.A total of 14 zones were involved in the application of cephalic acupoint plexus zoning,of which the high-frequency zones were parietal anterior temporal diagonal, parietal parietal 1,and chorea tremor control zone. Conclusion Acupuncture treatment of tic disorders in children, according to its pathogenesis(liver hyperactivity, kidney depletion, spleen deficiency, phlegm disturbance, etc.)and tic site, select acupoints compatibility, and mostly choose yang meridian acupoints, which is related to the nature and treatment characteristics of wind pathogen.Children's tic disorders are closely related to emotional disorders, therefore acupuncture and auricular acupoints all emphasize the method of soothing the liver and clearing the heart, and regulating the emotional state.Cluster needling of scalp point mostly used parietal temporal anterior oblique line, parietal 1 line, and dance tremor control area for the treatment of tic disorders. For children, auricular point seed-pressing and cluster needling of scalp point has the minimun of pain, the effect of treatment is long, and it is not easy to have dangerous situations such as bent needle, broken needle and so on.
ABSTRACT
The essence of cirrhosis is the over-repairing reaction of liver tissue damage in the process of chronic liver disease.During repair, the liver parenchyma is gradually replaced by fibrosis tissue, resulting in changes in liver tissue morphology, followed by portal hypertension and other related manifestations.Liver failure are serious disorder of liver functions(synthesis, metabolism, transformation, regeneration, etc.)caused by various factors, often mainly manifested as jaundice, coagulation disfunction, hepatic encephalopathy, ascites, etc. The naming and typing of the two are different, and they can exist independently of each other or intersect with each other. In recent years, with the in-depth exploration of cirrhosis and liver failure, many new definitions and classification methods have been put forward in the research. However, due to the confusion of classification methods, there is still a lack of summary,so this article briefly reviews the current progress of clinical classification of liver cirrhosis and liver failure and their differences and intersections.
ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVES@#To observe the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) at "Jiaji" (EX-B 2) combined with neurodynamic mobilization (NM) on the cross-sectional area of the gastrocnemius muscle fibers after sciatic nerve injury in rabbits, and the expression of nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) and muscle-specific ring-finger protein 1 (MuRF1).@*METHODS@#A total of 180 common-grade New Zealand rabbits (half male and half female) were randomly divided into five groups, i.e. a normal control group, a model control group, a NM group, an EA group and a combined intervention group, 36 rabbits in each group. Except in the normal control group, clipping method was used to prepare the model of sciatic nerve injury in the rest groups. On the 3rd day of successful modeling, NM was delivered in the NM group. In the EA group, EA was exerted at bilateral "Jiaji" (EX-B 2) of L4 to L6, stimulated with disperse-dense wave and the frequency of 2 Hz/100 Hz. In the combined intervention group, after EA delivered at bilateral "Jiaji" (EX-B 2) of L4 to L6 , NM was operated. The intervention in each group was delivered once daily, for 6 days a week, and lasted 1, 2 or 4 weeks according to the collection time of sample tissue. After 1, 2 and 4 weeks of intervention, in each group, the toe tension reflex score and the modified Tarlov test score were observed; the morphology of the gastrocnemius muscle was observed by HE staining and the cross-sectional area of muscular fiber was measured; using Western blot method, the expression of NF-κB and MuRF1 of the gastrocnemius muscle was detected.@*RESULTS@#After 1, 2 and 4 weeks of intervention, the toe tension reflex scores and the modified Tarlov scores in the model control group were lower than those of the normal control group (P<0.05), and these two scores in the NM group, the EA group and the combined intervention group were all higher than those of the model control group (P<0.05); the scores in the combined intervention group were higher than those in the EA group and the NM group (P<0.05). The gastrocnemius fibers were well arranged and the myocyte morphology was normal in the normal control group. In the model control group, the gastrocnemius fibers were disarranged, the myocytes were irregular in morphology and the inflammatory cells were infiltrated in the local. In the NM group, the EA group and the combined intervention group, the muscle fibers were regularly arranged when compared with the model control group. After 1, 2 and 4 weeks of intervention, the cross-sectional areas of the gastrocnemius muscle fibers in the model control group were smaller than those of the normal control group (P<0.05). The cross-sectional areas in the NM group, the EA group and the combined intervention group were larger than those of the model control group (P<0.05), and the cross-sectional areas in the combined intervention group were larger than those in the NM group and the EA group (P<0.05). After intervention for 1, 2 and 4 weeks, the protein expressions of NF-κB and MuRF1 in the gastrocnemius muscle were higher in the model control group in comparison of those in the normal control group (P<0.05). In the NM group, the EA group and the combined intervention group, the expressions of NF-κB after intervention for 1, 2 and 4 weeks and the expressions of MuRF1 after 2 and 4 weeks of intervention were lower when compared with those in the model control group (P<0.05). In the combined intervention group, the protein expressions of NF-κB after intervention for 1, 2 and 4 weeks and the expressions of MuRF1 after 2 and 4 weeks of intervention were decreased when compared with those in the NM group and the EA group (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#Electroacupuncture at "Jiaji" (EX-B 2) combined with NM may increase the muscle strength and sciatic function and alleviate gastrocnemius muscle atrophy in the rabbits with sciatic nerve injury. The underlying mechanism is related to the inhibition of NF-κB and MuRF1 expression.

Objective@#The pandemic of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been engendering enormous hazards to the world. We obtained the complete genome sequences of SARS-CoV-2 from imported cases admitted to the Guangzhou Eighth People's Hospital, which was appointed by the Guangdong provincial government to treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The SARS-CoV-2 diversity was analyzed, and the mutation characteristics, time, and regional trend of variant emergence were evaluated.@*Methods@#In total, 177 throat swab samples were obtained from COVID-19 patients (from October 2020 to May 2021). High-throughput sequencing technology was used to detect the viral sequences of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Phylogenetic and molecular evolutionary analyses were used to evaluate the mutation characteristics and the time and regional trends of variants.@*Results@#We observed that the imported cases mainly occurred after January 2021, peaking in May 2021, with the highest proportion observed from cases originating from the United States. The main lineages were found in Europe, Africa, and North America, and B.1.1.7 and B.1.351 were the two major sublineages. Sublineage B.1.618 was the Asian lineage (Indian) found in this study, and B.1.1.228 was not included in the lineage list of the Pangolin web. A reasonably high homology was observed among all samples. The total frequency of mutations showed that the open reading frame 1a (ORF1a) protein had the highest mutation density at the nucleotide level, and the D614G mutation in the spike protein was the commonest at the amino acid level. Most importantly, we identified some amino acid mutations in positions S, ORF7b, and ORF9b, and they have neither been reported on the Global Initiative of Sharing All Influenza Data nor published in PubMed among all missense mutations.@*Conclusion@#These results suggested the diversity of lineages and sublineages and the high homology at the amino acid level among imported cases infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Guangdong Province, China.

Objective@#The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic continues to present a major challenge to public health. Vaccine development requires an understanding of the kinetics of neutralizing antibody (NAb) responses to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).@*Methods@#In total, 605 serum samples from 125 COVID-19 patients (from January 1 to March 14, 2020) varying in age, sex, severity of symptoms, and presence of underlying diseases were collected, and antibody titers were measured using a micro-neutralization assay with wild-type SARS-CoV-2.@*Results@#NAbs were detectable approximately 10 days post-onset (dpo) of symptoms and peaked at approximately 20 dpo. The NAb levels were slightly higher in young males and severe cases, while no significant difference was observed for the other classifications. In follow-up cases, the NAb titer had increased or stabilized in 18 cases, whereas it had decreased in 26 cases, and in one case NAbs were undetectable at the end of our observation. Although a decreasing trend in NAb titer was observed in many cases, the NAb level was generally still protective.@*Conclusion@#We demonstrated that NAb levels vary among all categories of COVID-19 patients. Long-term studies are needed to determine the longevity and protective efficiency of NAbs induced by SARS-CoV-2.

ABSTRACT
Bismuth modified boron doped diamond (BDD) film electrode was employed for simultaneous determination of trace ZnⅡ,CdⅡand PbⅡby anodic stripping voltammetry.BiⅢwas simultaneously in-situ deposited on bismuth modified boron doped diamond electrode with ZnⅡ,CdⅡ and PbⅡ by pre-concentration.In the presence of BiⅢ,the sensitivity for determination of ZnⅡ,CdⅡ and PbⅡ was remarkably enhanced.Influence factors such as bismuth concentration, boron doped concentrations of BDD electrode,pH,preconcentration potential were investigated and optimized.Under the optimal conditions, the stripping peak currents increased linearly with the increasing concentration of ZnⅡ,CdⅡ and PbⅡ in the range of 10-300 μg/L.The limit of detection was 0.56 μg/L for ZnⅡ,0.32 μg/L for CdⅡand 0.75 μg/L for PbⅡ (S/N=3),respectively.The interference experiments showed that common ions had little influence on the determination except CuⅡ.In addition, the developed electrode displayed a good repeatability. The method was successfully applied to determination of ZnⅡ,CdⅡ and PbⅡ in real water samples with the standard addition recoveries of 92.0%-114.0%.
ABSTRACT
Objective To explore the influence of cyasterone on the osteoclast and osteoblast differentiation and then to investigate its effect on the bone quality in the osteoporosis mice. Methods CCK8 assay was firstly used to detect the toxic effect of cyasterone on the mouse bone marrow derived mononuclear macrophages (BMMs) and anterior osteoblast lines MC3T3E1. Cell apoptosis was measured by flow cytometry. Then TRAP staining and ALP staining were employed to detect osteoclast differentiation and osteoblast differentiation, respectively. Realtime PCR was carried out to test the expression of osteoclast special gene TRAP and osteogenesis crucial gene ALP. In vivo, 15 mice were divided into three groups: sham-operated group, OVX group and OVX+cyasterone treatment group. In treatment group, cyasterone was used as 5mg/kg every day. Sham-operated group and OVX group were treat with saline solution. After 4 weeks, the tibia was collected for Micro-CT detection to observe the bone quality and microstructure changes. Results Cyasterone with the concentration of less than 10 mg/L had no significant cytotoxicity nor influence on the apoptosis (P>0.05) . Cyasterone could significantly inhibit the osteoclast differentiation of BMMs (P<0.05), simultaneously, it also had the effect to promote the osteoblast differetiation of MC3T3E1. Real-time PCR indicated that cyasterone could block the expression of TRAP and increase the expression of ALP (P<0.05) . In vivo, cyasterone was able to obviously improve the osteoporosis status caused by estrogen deficiency without general toxicity. Conclusion cyasterone could provide a good treatment for osteoporosis through the bidirectional effect of inhibiting osteoclast differetiation and promoting osteoblast differentiation.

Univariate analyses showed that the length of tumor, the site of lesion, chemotherapy, the dose of plan gross tumor volume (PGTV) and the short-term outcomes after treatment were the important prognostic factors for the long-term survival (P< 0.05), and multivariate analyses showed that the length of tumor, chemotherapy and the short-term outcomes after treatment were the independent prognostic factors for the long-term survival (P< 0.05). Conclusions The patients with unresectable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated by 3DCRT have a good long-term prognosis. The length of tumor, chemotherapy and the short-term outcomes after treatment are the important prognostic factors for the long-term survival of the patients. Chemotherapy can improve the long-term prognosis significantly.
ABSTRACT
To explore the effects and mechanism of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction on TLR signal pathway in gastric mucosa tissues of rats with Helicobacter pylori-related gastritis, sixty SD rats were randomly divided into control group, model group, high concentration of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group, moderate concentration of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group, low concentrations of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group and SB203580-treated group, with 10 rats in each group. SD rats of Hp-associated chronic atrophic gastritis models were established by intragastric gavage of Helicobacter pylori (HP) suspension. Changes in the gastric mucosa of rats were assessed by histopathology. ELISA was applied to detect the expressions of TNF-α and IL-6 in the serum, and the activity of iNOS in gastric mucosa. The content of NO in the gastric mucosa was tested by nitrate reductive enzymatic. The expressions of TLR2, TLR4, P38MAPK, NF-κB were detected by QPCR and Western-blot. The results indicated that the clinical symptoms of rats and pathological changes of gastric mucosa were improved in Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group. Compared with normal control group, the protein expressions of TLR2, TLR4, p-P38MAPK and NF-κB in gastric mucosa of model group rats increased (P<0.01) with the levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the serum, and the activity of iNOS and the content of NO in gastric mucosa increased. Compared with model group, the expressions decreased in Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group, especially in the high concentration of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction group(P<0.01), with gradually increased rate of HP eradication and decreased pathological grades of chronic atrophic gastritis. The serum level of TNF-α and IL-6 decreased from (24.313±2.261) μg•L ⁻¹ to (15.195±1.235) μg•L-1(P<0.01) and from (77.416±8.095) μg•L ⁻¹ to (33.150±2.532) μg•L ⁻¹ (P<0.01), and the activity of iNOS and the content of NO in gastric mucosa decreased from (1.530±0.206) U•mg ⁻¹ to (0.802±0.091) U•mg ⁻¹ (P<0.01) and from (0.907±0.032) mmol•g ⁻¹ to (0.335±0.026) mmol•g ⁻¹ (P<0.01) after the treatment of high concentration of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction. All the effects increased with the increasing dosage of Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction from 0.324 g•mg ⁻¹ to 1.296 g•mg ⁻¹. The protein expressions of NF-κB decreased in the gastric mucosa after treated with P38MAPK specific inhibitor-SB203580. In the rats model, HP infection results in chronic atrophic gastritis through the activation of TLR2, TLR4/MAPK/NF-κB/iNOS/NO signal pathway. Xiangsha Liujunzi decoction can eradicate H. pylori and alleviate chronic atrophic gastric mucosal inflammation. The treatment is effective and safe to cure HP-induced chronic atrophic gastritis.
ABSTRACT

PURPOSETraumatic diaphragmatic rupture (TDR) needs early diagnosis and operation. However, the early diagnosis is usually difficult, especially in the patients without diaphragmatic hernia. The objective of this study was to explore the early diagnosis and treatment of TDR.

METHODSData of 256 patients with TDR treated in our department between 1994 and 2013 were analyzed retrospectively regarding to the diagnostic methods, percentage of preoperative judgment, incidence of diaphragmatic hernia, surgical procedures and outcome, etc. Two groups were set up according to the mechanism of injury (blunt or penetrating).

RESULTSOf 256 patients with a mean age of 32.4 years (9-84), 218 were male. The average ISS was 26.9 (13-66); and shock rate was 62.9%. There were 104 blunt injuries and 152 penetrating injuries. Preoperatively diagnostic rate was 90.4% in blunt injuries and 80.3% in penetrating, respectively, P < 0.05. The incidence of diaphragmatic hernia was 94.2% in blunt and 15.1% in penetrating respectively, P < 0.005. Thoracotomy was performed in 62 cases, laparotomy in 153, thoracotomy plus laparotomy in 29, and combined thoraco-laparotomy in 12. Overall mortality rate was 12.5% with the average ISS of 41.8; and it was 21.2% in blunt injuries and 6.6% in penetrating, respectively, P < 0.005. The main causes of death were hemorrhage and sepsis.

CONCLUSIONSDiagnosis of blunt TDR can be easily obtained by radiograph or helical CT scan signs of diaphragmatic hernia. For penetrating TDR without hernia, "offside sign" is helpful as initial assessment. CT scan with coronal/sagittal reconstruction is an accurate technique for diagnosis. All TDR require operation. Penetrating injury has a relatively better prognosis.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the inhibitory effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) on E coliinduced prostatitis in rats.

METHODSBMSCs were isolated, cultured and amplified by the attached choice method. Fifty SD rats were randomized into five groups of equal number: normal control, acute bacterial prostatitis (ABP) , chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP), ABP + BMSCs, and CBP + BMSCs, and the animals in the latter four groups were injected with E. coli into both sides of the prostate under ultrasound guidance for 1 - 14 days to induce ABP and for 4 - 12 weeks to induce CBP. The control rats were injected with the same amount of PBS. Two weeks after injection of BMSCs into the prostates, pathomorphological changes in the prostate were observed under the light microscope and the mRNA and protein levels of IL-1β and TNF-α determined by RT-PCR and ELISA, respectively, followed by statistical analysis with SPSS 18.0.

RESULTSHistopathological evaluation showed typical pathological inflammatory changes in the prostates of the rats in the ABP and CBP groups, including glandular structural changes, interstitial edema, inflammatory cell infiltration, and fibrous hyperplasia, which were all remarkably relieved after treated with BMSCs. The mRNA and protein levels of IL-β ([0.829 ± 0.121] and [271.75 ± 90.59] pg/ml) and TNF-α ([0.913 ± 0. 094] and [105.78 ± 19. 05] pg/ml) in the ABP and those of IL-1β ([0. 975 ± 0. 114] and [265. 31 ± 71. 34] pg/ml) and TNF-α ([0. 886 ± 0. 084] and [107. 45 ± 26. 11 ] pg/ml) in the CBP groups were significantly higher than those in the control rats ([0. 342 ± 0.087] and [45.76 17. 99] pg/ml, P <0. 05); ([0.247 ± 0.054] and ([19.42 ± 7. 75] pg/ml, P <0. 01) as well as than those in the ABP + BMSCs ([0. 433 ± 0. 072] and [51. 34 ± 22. 13] pg/ml, P < 0. 05 ) ; ( [0. 313 ± 0. 076] and [28. 38 ± 8. 78] pg/ml, P < 0. 01) and the CBP + BMSCs group ([0.396 ± 0.064] and [56.37 ± 21.22] pg/ml, P <0.05); ([0.417 ± 0.068] and [29.21 ± 10.22] pg/ml, P <0.01).

CONCLUSIONInjection of BMSCs can reduce E coli-induced prostatic inflammation reaction, which.may be associated with its reduction of inflammatory cell infiltration and the expressions of IL-1β and TNF-α in the prostate tissue.

Stem cells are characterized by self-renewing, multipotent differentiation, and high proliferation and receiving more and more attention for their roles in the development and management of various diseases. There are epithelial stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells in the prostate. The markers of the epithelial stem cells include cytokeratin, stem cell antigen-1, and integrins alpha2beta1, CD49f, CD133, CD117, and CD44. The markers of the mesenchymal stem cells include CD30, CD44, CD133, neuron-specific enolase, and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1. Prostate stem cells are involved in the development and treatment of prostatic diseases. This review focuses on the latest progress in the studies of prostate stem cells.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the diagnosis and treatment of multiple trauma with mainly thoracic and abdominal injuries.

METHODSA retrospective analysis was performed on data of multiple trauma cases with mainly thoracic and/or abdominal injuries.

RESULTSOf 1166 cases, 72.3% were found with shock. The operation rates of thoracic and abdominal injuries were 14.8% (119/804) and 83.5% (710/850) respectively (X(2) equal to 780.683, P less than 0.01). The operation rates of blunt and penetrating thoracic injuries was 6.8% (42/617) and 40.6% (76/187) respectively (X(2) equal to 131.701, P less than 0.01). The operation rates of blunt and penetrating abdominal injuries were 77.1% (434/563) and 96.1% (276/287) respectively (X(2) equal to 50.302, P less than 0.01). The operation rates of blunt thoracio-abdominal injuries were 6.8% (42/617) in thoracic region and 77.1% (434/563) in abdomen respectively (X(2) equal to 544.043, P less than 0.01). Among the cases of abdominal injuries, 41 received arteriography embolism, with the efficacy of 95.1% (39/41). Total mortality rate was 6.1%. The mortality rates of blunt and penetrating injuries were 7.3% (62/854) and 2.9% (9/312) (X(2) equal to 6.51, P less than 0.005). The deaths were mainly due to large volume of blood loss.

CONCLUSIONSWhen both thoracic and abdominal injuries exist, laparotomy is frequently required rather than thoracotomy. Laparotomy is seldomly used for blunt thoracic injuries, but usually used for penetrating thoracic and abdominal injuries. Mortality rate of penetrating thoracic and abdominal injuries is markedly lower than that of blunt injuries. Surgical operation is still important for those patients with penetrating thoracic or abdominal injuries.

OBJECTIVETo estimate correlation between phonetically balanced maximum (PB max) and pure tone auditory threshold in auditory neuropathy (AN) patients.

METHODSOne hundred and six AN patients were identified using multiple criteria including PB max, a metric for speech recognition, pure tone auditory threshold, acoustic emission test, distortion products otoacoustic emission (DPOAE) and auditory brainstem response (ABR). SPSS statistical software was used to estimate the Pearson's correlation between PB max and pure tone auditory threshold and to test whether pure tone auditory threshold, or auditory configuration had a significant impact on PB max.

RESULTSEven the patients had the same or similar values for pure tone auditory threshold or auditory configuration, varied values of PB max were found in two hundreds and twelve ears for 106 patients. Analysis of the data for 106 patients revealed a negative correlation (r = -0. 602, P <0. 01) between PB max and pure tone auditory threshold, i. e. hearing loss at a mild relates to a lower PB max. By using analysis of variance (ANOVA) method, it was found that both pure tone auditory threshold and auditory configuration had a significant (P <0.01) impact on the patients' PB max.

CONCLUSIONSThis analysis implicated the promise and potential of pure tone auditory threshold and auditory configuration for predicting PB max of the AN patients, and improving the diagnosis of AN.
