ABSTRACT
This paper summarized Professor LI Haisong's clinical experience in treating spermatorrhea based on the view of "spirit controlling essence and qi". It is emphasized that the heart spirit has the function of controlling the essence and qi of the human body, believing the frenetic stirring of heart spirit and the insecurity of essence gate are the core pathogenesis of spermatorrhea, LI advocates to regulate the heart spirit first and take into account of the zang-fu organs, essence and qi simultaneously for the treatment. Treatment should be performed according the clinical syndromes differentiatied. For those with heart spirit failing to nourish syndrome, it is recommended to supplement heart qi, nourish spirit and consolidate essence with self-made Yangxin Mijing Formula (养心秘精方). In case of heart fire hyperactivity, the method of clearing heart heat and draining fire, calming spirit and consolidating essence should be used, and self-made Xiexin Gujing Formula (泻心固精方) is recommended. For heart-liver qi constraint, it is advised to soothe the liver and calm heart, calm the mind and regulate essence with self-made Jieyu Anshen Tiaojing Formula (解郁安神调精方) which is a modifcation to Chaihu Shugan Powder (柴胡疏肝散). In terms of deficiency of both heart and liver, the treatment principle is supplementing spleen and nourishing heart, calming the mind and controlling essence, for which self-made Xinpi Tongtiao Shejing Formula (心脾同调摄精方) modified from Guipi Decoction (归脾汤) can be used. For deficiency of both heart and kidney, it is better to nourish the kidney and calm heart, calm the mind and consolidate essence with self-made Xinshen Liangzi Tianjing Formula (心肾两滋填精方) that modified from Shuilu Erxian Elixir (水陆二仙丹) and Wuzi Yanzong Pill (五子衍宗丸). Prescriptions are used to treat the root by harmonizing the zang-fu organs, nourish the spirit by regulating qi and blood, and calm the mind by taking special medi-cinals, and they should be flexibly modified according to the disease.
ABSTRACT
Emphasizing the correspondence between western medicine pathology and traditional Chinese medicine pathogenesis, ZHANG Cigong proposes “dual diagnosis and single treatment”. “Dual diagnosis” refers to the determination of pathology, etiology and disease names in western medicine as well as the syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), while “single treament” is the use of Chinese herbal medicine (CHM). By analyzing the records of gastric disease cases by ZHANG Cigong and the related discussions, this paper summarized the “dual diagnosis and single treatment” of gastric disease, including the three-step diagnosis logic of gastric disease, the correspondence between pathology and pathogenesis, etiological diagnosis and TCM syndrome differentiation, as well as CHM for the treatment of acute gastritis, gastric ulcer and hyperacidity, duodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis, dyspepsia and gastrointestinal neurosis, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Under the thinking mode of organic integration of logical thinking, clinical practice, and scientific research, he corresponded the basic concepts of “Qi and blood, cold and hot, warm and cool” to “substance and function” in traditional Chinese and western medicine, exploring the essence of interoperability between Chinese and Western medicine, thereby expanding the scope of TCM syndrome differentiation and its efficacy to the microscopic physiological and pathological level. It is believed that ZHANG Cigong's academic ideas provide reference to the “win-win” approach of modern integration between Chinese and western medicine, and should follow the premise of learning from each other's strengths and complementing each other to fully highlight their advantages.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To explore the influence and significance of respiratory filter on the judgment of pulmonary function and the conclusion of occupational health examination in occupational health examination. Methods: From August to November 2020, 252 occupational health examinees were randomly selected as the research objects, and the lung function was examined with the respiratory filter bite and the straight cylinder bite without filter, respectively. The lung function examination indexes and the qualification rate of lung function examination were analyzed and compared between the two groups, and the diagnostic criteria of lung function examination was corrected. Results: 252 subjects were 36 (30, 42) years old. The qualified rate of lung function examination with respiratory filter bite (28.17%, 71/252) was lower than that with straight cylinder bite (34.92%, 88/252) , the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) . The percentage of forced vital capacity in normal predicted value (FVC%) , percentage of forced expiratory volume in the first second in normal predicted value (FEV(1)%) , and percentage of forced expiratory volume in the first second in forced vital capacity (FEV(1)/FVC%) of subjects using respiratory filter bite were lower than those using the straight cylinder bite (P<0.05) . The corrected diagnostic criteria of pulmonary function were FVC%>78%, FEV(1)%>77%, FEV(1)/FVC%>68%. There was no significant difference between the qualified rate of the respiratory filter bite lung function test calculated according to the corrected diagnostic criteria (35.71%, 90/252) and the qualified rate of the straight cylinder bite lung function test calculated according to the original diagnostic criteria (34.92%, 88/252) (P>0.05) . Conclusion: In occupational health examination, the use of respiratory filter may affect the results of pulmonary function examination. The diagnostic criteria of pulmonary function can be corrected according to different filtering effects to ensure the accuracy of the conclusions of occupational health examination.

Objective:To construct a predict model based on ultrasomics parameters that can identify moderate acute hypoxemic respiratory failure patients at risk of non-invasive respiratory strategies(NIRS) failure and evaluate its value. Methods:This is a prospective observational trial. The patients with moderate acute respiratory failure (100 mmHg≤PaO 2/FiO 2≤200 mmHg) in intensive care unit(ICU) ,emergency and respiratory ward of Changshu Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University from Oct 2020 to Jan 2023 were included, NIRS failure is defined as death or intubation while on therapy. At admission time and 24 h after treatment vital signs, biological and ultrasound parameters were determined. The study subjects were randomly ( random number) divided into a development group (70%) and a validation group (30%).Univariate and multivariate logistic regression was performed. The treatment failure prediction models were constructed according to ultrasonic parameters combined with clinical parameters. The models were also validated by ROC curves, calibration curves, NRI index and decision curve analysis (DCA).The nomograms were drawn. Results:A total of 193 patients were included in the study, 137 were allocated to the development group, and 56 to the validation group, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. NIRS failed in 112 (58%) of 193 patients..Univariate analysis revealed that PaO 2/FiO 2, DE at the time of admission and 24 h in the failure group were found to be statistically lower than the success group, RV/LV was higher (all P<0.05). RR, LUS at 24 h in the failure group were higher and ROX index was lower (all P<0.01). In addition, more patients in the failure group received vasopressors ( P= 0.001). Use of vasopressors( OR=4.709, P=0.012), RR( OR=1.254, P=0.035), LUS( OR=1.250, P=0.037), RV/LV( OR=1.057, P=0.008), PaO 2/FiO 2 ( OR=0.950, P=0.001), DE ( OR=0.107, P=0.001) in the development group were independent risk factors for NIRS failure.ROC analysis revealed that model B achieved a larger area under curve (AUC) than model A in the development group, with their AUC values of 0.928 and 0.872 ( P=0.009), AUC of model A and model B in the validation group were 0.867 and 0.932 respectively ( P=0.07).Two prediction models showed a good degree of calibration (all P>0.05). NRI analysis showed significant improvement in the predictive power of model B ( P<0.01). DCA showed that the model B had a good net benefit between the threshold probabilities of 0-80%. Conclusions:Ultrasomics parameters combined with Clinical parameters can effectively predict NIRS failure in moderate acute hypoxemic respiratory failure patients.
ABSTRACT
Review of historical literature showed that the understanding of the indicated disease location of Modified FuMai Decoction (复脉汤加减方) has evolved from the upper jiao (焦) to the middle and lower jiao. Initially, it is used for the treatment of yin deficiency of both yin and yang in the upper jiao, changes to supplement stomach and produce fluids in the middle jiao, and is used to protect yin, clear the pathogens, conslidate yin and subdue yang so as to store the true yin of lower jiao. The unchanging principle of Fumai Decoction modifications is nourishing yin, while the changing aspects are determining the secondary treatment methods based on disease location of sanjiao, concomitant disease natures, internal injury or external contraction, warm disease or cold damage, thereby choosing the corresponding added or subtracted herbs, and providing reference for the application of classical formulas.
ABSTRACT
As an essential trace element, selenium plays a very important role in antioxidation and maintaining redox homeostasis in various metabolic processes. With the development of nano-technology, selenium nanoparticles ( SeNPs) have become potential biomedical drugs because of their low toxicity, degrad-ability and high bioavailability. With the ability to activate apop-tosis or autophagy by regulating the production of reactive oxygen species ( ROS) , SeNPs are widely used in anticancer therapy and pathogens killing/clearance. In addition, with excellent stability and drug encapsulation capacity, SeNPs are serving as a kind of effective nano-carriers for anti-cancer and anti-infection treatments. Interestingly, the important role of SeNPs in immune regulation ( such as the activation of macrophages and T effector cells) provides a new possibilities to achieve nano-immune syn-ergetic treatment strategy for anti-cancer and anti-infection thera¬pies. In this paper, we review the latest progress of the prepara¬tion methods and safety for SeNPs, followed by the advances of anti-infection, anti-cancer effects and its mechanisms, which would be helpful for promoting the pace of clinical research and application. In addition, we also summarize the functions of SeNPs in other aspects, so as to provide beneficial assistance for facilitating its scientific and clinical research.

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate protective effect of Cordyceps sinensis (CS) through autophagy-associated adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway in acute kidney injury (AKI)-induced acute lung injury (ALI).@*METHODS@#Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups according to a random number table, including the normal saline (NS)-treated sham group (sham group), NS-treated ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) group (IRI group), and low- (5 g/kg·d) and high-dose (10 g/kg·d) CS-treated IRI groups (CS1 and CS2 groups), 12 rats in each group. Nephrectomy of the right kidney was performed on the IRI rat model that was subjected to 60 min of left renal pedicle occlusion followed by 12, 24, 48, and 72 h of reperfusion. The wet-to-dry (W/D) ratio of lung, levels of serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin- β and tumor necrosis factor- α, and biomarkers of oxidative stress such as superoxide dismutase, malonaldehyde (MDA) and myeloperoxidase (MPO), were assayed. Histological examinations were conducted to determine damage of tissues in the kidney and lung. The protein expressions of light chain 3 II/light chain 3 I (LC3-II/LC3-I), uncoordinated-51-like kinase 1 (ULK1), P62, AMPK and mTOR were measured by Western blot and immunohistochemistry, respectively.@*RESULTS@#The renal IRI induced pulmonary injury following AKI, resulting in significant increases in W/D ratio of lung, and the levels of Scr, BUN, inflammatory cytokines, MDA and MPO (P<0.01); all of these were reduced in the CS groups (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with the IRI groups, the expression levels of P62 and mTOR were significantly lower (P<0.05 or P<0.01), while those of LC3-II/LC3-I, ULK1, and AMPK were significantly higher in the CS2 group (P<0.05 or P<0.01).@*CONCLUSION@#CS had a potential in treating lung injury following renal IRI through activation of the autophagy-related AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway in AKI-induced ALI.

Objective@#Genetic high-risk assessment combines hereditary breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancer into one syndrome. However, there is a lack of data for comparing the germline mutational spectrum of the cancer predisposing genes between these three cancers. @*Methods@#Patients who met the criteria of the hereditary breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancer were enrolled and received multi-gene sequencing. @*Results@#We enrolled 730 probands: 418 developed breast cancer, 185 had ovarian cancer, and 145 had pancreatic cancer. Out of the 18 patients who had two types of cancer, 16 had breast and ovarian cancer and 2 had breast and pancreatic cancer. A total of 167 (22.9%) patients had 170 mutations. Mutation frequency in breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancer was 22.3%, 33.5% and 17.2%, respectively. The mutation rate was significantly higher in patients with double cancers than those with a single cancer (p<0.001). BRCA1 and BRCA2 were the most dominant genes associated with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, whereas ATM was the most prevalent gene related to hereditary pancreatic cancer. Genes of hereditary colon cancer such as lynch syndrome were presented in a part of patients with pancreatic or ovarian cancer but seldom in those with breast cancer. Families with a history of both ovarian and breast cancer were associated with a higher mutation rate than those with other histories. @*Conclusion@#The mutation spectrum varies across the three cancer types and family histories. Our analysis provides guidance for physicians, counsellors, and counselees on the offer and uptake of genetic counseling.

ABSTRACT
Objective:To analyze the splicing mutation site of COL4A5 gene in a family with X-linked dominant Alport syndrome and explore the possibility of exon specific U1 small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene therapy. Methods:The clinical data of the proband and family members of Alport syndrome were collected, and the gene mutations in the whole exon of a series of nephropathy genes in the proband were detected by high-throughput sequencing. The splice site changes and pathogenicity caused by COL4A5 c.546+5G>A mutation were analyzed by online software. Minigene experiment was used to verify and analyze the effect of COL4A5 gene mutation site c.546+5G>A in the proband of Alport syndrome family, and transient transfection and introduction of modified U1 snRNA to correct splicing mutation. Results:The results of gene sequencing showed that there was a hemizygous variation of COL4A5 gene in the proband and his half brother, and the variation site was c.546+5G>A. The results of online software for analyzing the pathogenicity of splice variation showed that the original donor splicing site could not be detected after mutation, suggesting that there was a great possibility of affecting splicing. The abnormal splicing mode of COL4A5 gene with c.546+5G>A mutation—deletion of exon 9 was verified by hybridized small gene detection. The abnormal splicing mutation could be partially corrected by the modified U1 snRNA. The correction ratios of ExSpeU1 (MT), ExSpeU1(E9+1), ExSpeU1(E9+9) and ExSpeU1(E9+11) to exon 9 deletion caused by c.546+5G>A were 0, 43.81%, 52.09% and 48.12%, respectively. Conclusions:The pathogenicity of the new splicing mutation of COL4A5 is verified, and the modified U1 snRNA can partially correct the abnormal splicing.
ABSTRACT
In this study, we intended to describe a human case of lumbosacral canal sparganosis in People’s Republic of China (China). A 56-year-old man was admitted to Xiangya Hospital Central South University in Changsha, Hunan province, China after having an experience of perianal pain for a week. An enhancing mass, a tumor clinically suggested, was showed at the S1-S2 level of the lumbosacral spine by the examination of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with gadolinium contrast. The patient was received the laminectomy from S1 to S2, and an ivory-white living worm was detected in inferior margin of L5. In ELISA-test with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and serum samples, anti-sparganum antibodies were detected. He had a ingesting history of undercooked frog meat in his youth. By the present study, a human case of spinal sparganosis invaded in lumbosacral canal at the S1-S2 level was diagnosed in China. Although the surgical removal of larvae is known to be the best way of treatment for sparganosis, we administered the high-dosage of praziquantel, albendazole and dexamethasone to prevent the occurrence of another remain worms in this study.
ABSTRACT
The present study explored the effects and its underlying mechanisms of four active fractions of Camellia nitidissima(leaf polyphenols, leaf saponins, flower polyphenols, and flower saponins in C. nitidissima) in inhibiting the proliferation and migration of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) by suppressing the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR). MTT assay was used to detect the effect of four active fractions on the proliferation of NCI-H1975 and HCC827 cells. Wound healing assay and Transwell assay were adopted to evaluate the effect of four active fractions on the migration of NSCLC. The effect of four active fractions on the enzyme activity of EGFR was detected. Molecular docking was carried out to explore the direct action capacity and action sites between representative components of the four active fractions and EGPR. Western blot assay was employed to investigate the effect of four active fractions on the protein expression in EGFR downstream signaling pathways. The results of the MTT assay indicated that the cell viability of NCI-H1975 and HCC827 cells was significantly inhibited by four active fractions at 50, 100, 150, and 200 μg·mL~(-1) in a dose-dependent manner. Wound healing assay and Transwell assay revealed that the migration of NCI-H1975 and HCC827 cells was significantly suppressed by four active fractions. In addition, the results of the protein activity assay showed that the enzyme activity of EGFR was significantly inhibited by four active fractions. The molecular docking results confirmed that various components in four active fractions possessed strong binding activity to EGFR enzymes. Western blot assay revealed that four active fractions down-regulated the protein expression of EGFR and its downstream signaling pathways. It is concluded that the four active fractions of C. nitidissima can inhibit NSCLC. The mechanism may be related to EGFR and its downstream signaling pathways. This study provides a new scientific basis for the clinical treatment of NSCLC with active fractions of C. nitidissima, which is of reference significance for further research on the anti-tumor mechanism of C. nitidissima.

Objective: To explore the characteristics of dynamic balance during the onset of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and its prediction of residual symptoms after successful repositioning. Methods: From January 2018 to August 2019, patients diagnosed with unilateral posterior semicircular canal or horizontal semicircular canal BPPV were consecutively enrolled from five otolaryngology clinics in Shanghai. The dynamic balance function was measured by sensory organization test (SOT) before repositioning maneuver, and the residual symptoms and its duration were followed up from one week to up to three months. Results: A total of 260 patients were recruited. After excluding 17 cases, 243 cases were successfully followed up including 89 males and 154 females, with an average age of (52.9±13.0) years. There were 175 cases of posterior semicircular BPPV, 61 cases of horizontal semicircular BPPV and 7 cases of canal conversion (from horizontal to posterior semicircular). Among 243 patients, 118 cases reported residual symptoms, with an incidence of 48.6%. The results of SOT showed that 58.0%(141/243) of the patients had abnormal vestibular input and 41.6%(101/243) were categorized as "near falls". With respect to the detailed residual symptoms, 47 cases (39.8%) reported unsteadiness or floating, 35 cases (29.7%) had fogginess/heaviness feeling, 22 cases (18.6%) had transient dizzy while head moving, and 15 cases (12.7%) reported that the symptom was too subtle to describe. Compared with the group without residual symptoms, the group with residual symptoms had more abnormal vestibular input(χ²=67.25, P<0.001) and near falls(χ²=74.78, P<0.001) as identified by SOT test. Cox proportional hazards regression failed to reveal any SOT results having significantly impact on the duration of residual symptoms [abnormal vestibular input (HR= 0.93, 95%CI: 0.48, 1.80), and near falls (HR= 0.90, 95%CI: 0.56, 1.46)]. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that there was no significant difference in the duration of residual symptoms among patients with different SOT manifestations [Log rank (Mantel-Cox) test, P>0.05]. Conclusions: The impaired dynamic balance during the onset of BPPV is characterized by "abnormal vestibular input". The residual symptoms are mainly characterized by unsteadiness or floating feeling. The defect of dynamic balance function is a predictor of the residual symptoms after successful repositioning, but not for the duration of such symptoms.

In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of SYT-1, a new compound of tetrahydroisoquino-line, on tumor cell proliferation and underlying mechanisms. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) method was used to detect cell proliferation; clone formation experiment was used to detect cell clone formation ability; JC-1 probe was used to detect cell mitochondrial membrane potential; 2',7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate (DCFH-DA) probe was used to detect intracellular reactive oxygen species; Annexin V-FITC/PI (fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium) counterstaining method was used to detect apoptosis; Western blot assay was used to detect the expression level of related proteins. The experimental results show that SYT-1 has a significant inhibitory effect on the proliferation of six human-derived cancer cells. Among them, the inhibitory effect on breast cancer MCF-7 cells is the strongest, the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of SYT-1 of 48 h administration on MCF-7 cells is 5.87 μmol·L-1, which is better than that of cisplatin (8.92 μmol·L-1). Further studies have shown that SYT-1 can dose-dependently inhibit the monoclonal formation ability of MCF-7 cells, and can cause the mitochondrial membrane potential of the cells to decrease and the level of reactive oxygen species to increase. In addition, SYT-1 can significantly inhibit the activation of PI3K-Akt (phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/protein kinase B) signaling pathway and induce apoptosis of MCF-7 cells. The above research results show that, as a new type of tetrahydroisoquinoline compound, SYT-1 has the potential to inhibit tumor cell proliferation.
ABSTRACT
Background/Aims@#Real-world studies assessing the effectiveness and safety of sofosbuvir/velpatasvir (SOF/VEL) plus ribavirin (RBV) for Child-Pugh B/C hepatitis C virus (HCV)-related cirrhosis are limited. @*Methods@#We included 107 patients with Child-Pugh B/C HCV-related cirrhosis receiving SOF/VEL plus RBV for 12 weeks in Taiwan. The sustained virologic response rates at off-treatment week 12 (SVR12) for the evaluable population (EP), modified EP, and per-protocol population (PP) were assessed. Thesafety profiles were reported. @*Results@#The SVR12 rates in the EP, modified EP and PP were 89.7% (95% confidence interval [CI], 82.5–94.2%), 94.1% (95% CI, 87.8–97.3%), and 100% (95% CI, 96.2–100%). Number of patients who failed to achieve SVR12 were attributed to virologic failures. The SVR12 rates were comparable regardless of patient characteristics. One patient discontinued treatment because of adverse events (AEs). Twenty-four patients had serious AEs and six died, but none were related to SOF/VEL or RBV. Among the 96 patients achieving SVR12, 84.4% and 64.6% had improved Child-Pugh and model for endstage liver disease (MELD) scores. Multivariate analysis revealed that a baseline MELD score ≥15 was associated with an improved MELD score of ≥3 (odds ratio, 4.13; 95% CI, 1.16–14.71; P=0.02). Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage 1 had more significant estimated glomerular filtration rate declines than patients with CKD stage 2 (-0.42 mL/min/1.73 m2/month; P=0.01) or stage 3 (-0.56 mL/min/1.73 m2/month; P<0.001). @*Conclusions@#SOF/VEL plus RBV for 12 weeks is efficacious and well-tolerated for Child-Pugh B/C HCV-related cirrhosis.

Aim To set up leukemic K562/ADM cells with stable tolerance to 15 fimol • L_1 ADM induced in vitro by long-term and continuous stepwise increment of adriamycin (ADM) concentration, to observe the sensitivity to other chemotherapy drugs and the relationship between autophagy and drug resistance. Methods MTT assay was used to detect the sensitivity of cells to chemotherapy drugs. The morphological changes of autophagy were observed by transmission electron microscope and fluorescence microscopy.Cell apoptosis analysis was performed using Annexin-V/PI double staining and flow cytometry ( FCM ).The expressions of autophagy and drug resistance associated proteins were tested by Western blot. Results K562/ADM cells were cross-resistance to the other chemotherapeu-tics besides adriamyciri, such as pirarubicin, daunoru- bicin, 5-flurouracil, vincristine but not arsenic triox- ide.The number of autophagosomes, the fluorescence intensity of monodansylcadaverine (MDC) and the expression of LC3-H ,Beclin-l in K562/ADM cells were significantly higher than those in K562 cells. The inhibition of autophagy by 3-MA significantly increased the sensitivity of K562/ADM cells to ADM, and 3-MA also effectively inhibited the expressions of drug resistance related proteins P-gp, MRP1 and BCRP in K562/ADM cells. Conclusions The K562/ADM cells resistant to adriamycin occur multidrug resistance, and the drug resistanceis closely related to the level of autophagy.

Objective:To study the quality inspection standard of seeds of Belamcanda chinensis and establish the quality grading standard of seeds of B. chinensis. Method:The purity of seeds of B. chinensis from different producing areas was analyzed, and the 1 000-grain weight, water content, viability and germination rate of seeds of B. chinensis with different diameters were determined after diameter classification. K-means was used for cluster analysis to preliminarily formulate the quality grading standard of seeds of B. chinensis. Result:There were obvious regional differences in the size of seeds of B. chinensis. The particle size of seeds of B. chinensis of Xiaochang,Dawu and Huanggang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Hubei Province was larger and mostly between 4.5 mm to 5.5 mm. The seeds of B. chinensis from Tuanfeng,Qujing,Yunnan, and Anguo,Hebei province had smaller particle sizes than those from the other three producing areas, which were mostly between 3.5 mm to 5.0 mm. Arils in seeds of B. chinensis were removed by 10% NaClO to effectively break seed dormancy and significantly improve the seed germination rate. On this basis, the seed diameter was taken as the main grading index, and the seed moisture content, viability, germination rate and purity were taken as important reference indexes. The quality of seeds of B. chinensis was preliminarily divided into three grades, grade Ⅰ:seed diameter≥5.5 mm,moisture content≤10%,viability≥94%,germination rate≥60%,and cleanliness≥93%;grade Ⅱ:seed diameter≥4.5 mm,moisture content≤10%,viability≥90%,germination rate≥55%,and cleanliness≥85%;and grade Ⅲ:seed diameter≥3.5 mm,moisture content≤10%,viability≥84%,germination rate≥45%,cleanliness≥80%. Conclusion:In this study, the quality grading standard of seeds of B. chinensis was preliminarily established to provide reference for the quality evaluation of seeds of B. chinensis and the breeding of improved varieties. In addition, the maturity and the storage time of seeds of B. chinensis have a greater impact on the quality of seeds,so it is recommended to select fully mature(dark black) seeds and new seeds for production.
