ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To know the present situation of management of endoscope disinfection in order to improve the disinfection quality.METHODS A questionnaire and on-spot-survey were sent to 8 hospitals equipped with endoscope.RESULTS Eight different grade hospitals had a system of endoscope management established and integrated into their quantity management system. One hospital had isolated cleaning and sterilizing rooms,of which 3 hospitals were well ventilated;6 hospitals had special storage cabinets for endoscope, for endoscope as well as cleaning and sterilizing troughs. All of the hospitals used multienzymes and timers when doing cleaning.CONCLUSIONS There are some problems in the present situation. The way of management monitoring and occupational protection must be further improved to reduce the nosocomial infection.

ABSTRACT

Lymphocyte culture media are commonly supplemented With calf serum. The use of calf sera of different sources may introduce uncontrollable variables, which often make trobles in explaining the results. In this papor the influence of calf sera from two different supplies(serum A and B)on lymihocyte funetion assay in vitro was compared. It was found that no difference was observed in B lymohocyte pr- oliferative rosponse to Staphylococcus aureus Cowen strain l(SAC)or to goat F(ab) anti-human ? chain spocific antibody and in plaque-formation cell response induced by SAC or Pokeweed mitogen(PWM)or in PHA induced T cell proliferation in using calf serum A and B.However,in Con?A-driven T cell proliferation, serum B.However, in Con?A-driven T cell proliferation, serum B gave highor cpm m all three experim- ents. The results were 7934?3859?versus 1435?124(p

ABSTRACT

Establishment of a Sandwich ELISA for detection of free-form E-receptors in human serum is reported. The specificity of this method was confirmed with inhibition test and the coefficient variance was 9.4~14.7%,indicating good reproducibility of the assay. The optimal conditions for the assay were:sheep anti-E-receptor IgG at 15?g/ml for coating polystyrene plates, HRP-IgG conjugate at a dilution of 1:2,000.110 normal human sera and 140 cord blood sera were tested and all showed satisfactory results, The concentrations of E-receptors in normal sera and cord blood sera were 18?2?g/ml and 5?1?g/ml respectively(p
