ABSTRACT
In order to provide basic information for the utilization and development of famous classical formulas containing Bletillae Rhizoma, this article systematically analyzes the historical evolution of the name, origin, harvesting and processing of Bletillae Rhizoma by reviewing the ancient materia medica, prescription books, medical books and modern literature. The research results showed that Baiji(白及) was the main name, some scholars took Baiji(白芨) as its main name, and there were many other names such as Baiji(白给), Baigen(白根), Baiji(白苙). The mainstream source of Bletillae Rhizoma was the tubers of Bletilla striata, and drying, large, white, solid, root-free and skin removed completely were the good quality standards. With the promotion of wild to cultivated medicinal materials, there were certain differences between their traits, and the quality evaluation indexes should be adjusted accordingly. The origin of records in the past dynasties was widely distributed, with Guizhou and Sichuan having high production and good quality in modern times. The harvesting period is mostly in spring and autumn, and harvested in autumn was better. The processing and processing technology is relatively simple, and it was used fresh or powdered in past dynasties, while it is mainly sliced for raw use in modern times. Based on the results, it is suggested that the tubers of Bletilla striata of Orchidaceae should be used in the famous classical formulas, and it should be uniformly written as Baiji(白及). And if the original formula indicates the requirement of processing, it should be operated according to the requirement, if the requirement of processing is not indicated, it can be used in raw form as medicine.
ABSTRACT
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common arrhythmia type. It affects more than 80% of the elderly. The main hazards are stroke and other systemic thromboembolism. Compared with the strokes caused by other causes, the disability, mortality and recurrence rate of AF-related stroke are higher. Therefore, the prevention of stroke in patients with AF is critical. Anticoagulation is the core therapeutic strategy for stroke prevention in patients with AF. This article reviews various oral anticoagulants for stroke prevention in patients with AF.
ABSTRACT
Objective To compare the differences between TCM constitution test and fitness test of university students from different aspects; To prove that bringing TCM constitution test into fitness test of university students is feasible. Methods Comparative method was used to compare the differences between TCM constitution test and fitness test of university students from the aspects of basic theory, test content, test methods, and interventions. Results There were differences on the aspects of basic theory, test content, test methods, and interventions between TCM constitution teat and fitness test of university students. The test population and test aim were the same. TCM constitution test could comprehensively test physical, psychological, and social adaptability of university students. The individualized program of health maintenance could be given according to TCM constitutions after TCM constitution test. But this test is subjective. The fitness test of university students mainly focus on measuring physical health and the test method is objective. Conclusion TCM constitution test can be brought into current fitness test of university students to test their healthy condition more comprehensively and accurately. The individualized program of health maintenance can be offered after the test to promote health of university students.
ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo examine the effect of acute incisional pain on the expression of connexin 43 in rat spinal cord dorsal horn.

METHODSEighty rats were assigned into control group without any treatment and incisional pain group with incision surgery. For paw incisions, a 1-cm longitudinal incision was made through the skin and fascia of the plantar aspect of the right hind paw. After surgery, the 50% paw withdrawal threshold (PWT) was assessed in response to a tactile stimulus with calibrated von Frey monofilaments at 1, 2, 4 and 24 h, respectively. The spinal cord dorsal horn of rats was isolated at 1, 2, and 4 h after the surgery to assess the expression of connexin 43 using Western blotting and immunofluorescence assay.

RESULTSThe 50% PWT of the rats was significantly decreased after the incision surgery, and this decrement was the most obvious at 2 and 4 h. Western blotting and immunofluorescence assay showed that the expression of connexin 43 in the spinal cord dorsal horn was significantly increased in rats receiving the surgery especially at 2 and 4 h after the surgery.

CONCLUSIONIncision surgery induces an significant increase in connexin 43 expression in rat spinal cord dorsal horn, suggestting an potential role of connexin43 in postoperative incisional pain.
