ABSTRACT

[Objective] To observe the effect of Anxin Granules (mainly composed of Radix Ginseng, Ramulus Cinnamomi, Pericarpium Trichosanthis, Hinido, Poria, etc.) in improving the symptoms of angina pectoris (AP) and acute inflammatory reaction in coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with AP. [Methods] Eighty senile CHD patients with AP of blood-stasis type were allocated to groups A and B with random number table. Group A was treated with Anxin Granules 3.5 g, tid combined with routine drug treatment and group B with routine drug treatment only. Four weeks constituted one treatment course. The changes of symptoms, electrocardiogram (EGG) and serum hypersensitive C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP) level were observed before and after treatment. [Results] In relieving symptoms and decreasing Hs-CRP level, group A was better than group B ( P 0.05) . Serum Hs-CRP level decreased in groups A and B after treatment as compared with that before treatment (P

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Shen Wu Guanxin Granules(SWGG),a prescription with the actions of tonifying kidney, strengthening Qi and activating blood, for angina pectoris(AP) due to coronary heart disease(CHD) with kidney deficiency and blood stasis. Methods Ninety patients with AP due to CHD with kidney deficiency and blood stasis were randomized into two groups according to the double-blind and double-dummy principles. The two groups received routine western medicine, and the treatment group(N=60) received SWGG and the control group(N=30) received Di'ao Xinxuekang Capsules additionally. The treatment lasted 4 weeks. After treatment, the therapeutic effect on AP and electrocardiogram(ECG) was evaluated, and the changes of main symptoms as well as the laboratory parameters were observed before and after treatment. Results In the treatment group, the total therapeutic effect on AP and ECG was 91.7% and 85.0% respectively, higher than 73.3% and 66.7% in the control group(P

ABSTRACT

[Objective] To investigate the therapeutic effect of Guanxin No. 1 Recipe (mainly composed of Radix Codonopsis, Radix Ophiopogonis, Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Radix Notoginseng, Radix Curcumae) for coronary heart disease (CHD) with angina pectoris (AP) and to observe its influence on blood lipid and hemorrheology indexes. [Methods] Eighty-eight patients with AP were allocated to group A (n = 48) and group B (n = 40) according to random number table. The two groups were given isosorbide dinitrate, Metoprolol Tartrate Tablets and enteric-coated aspirin tablets, and group A was treated with Guanxin No. 1 Recipe additionally. Four weeks constituted one treatment course. The effects on TCM syndromes, AP, electrocardiogram (ECG) and symptoms scoring, as well as on blood lipid level and hemorrheology indexes were observed before and after treatment. [Results] After treatment, the effects on TCM syndromes, AP, electrocardiogram and symptoms scoring in group A were superior to those in group B (P 0.05) . Whole blood high-shear viscosity (WBHSV) and whole blood low-shear viscosity (WBLSV) were decreased in the two groups (P 0.05). [Conclusion] Guanxin No. 1 Recipe has a better effect on relieving symptoms and improving EGG in CHD with AP, and this may be related to the decrease of blood lipid level and improvement of hemorrheology index.
