ABSTRACT

Gastrointestinal parasites are a significant challenge in sheep farming, and periparturient ewes are one of the most susceptible categories in sheep flocks. This study aimed to verify whether the injection of B vitamins at the acupuncture point governing vessel 14 (GV14) can influence the parasitic load or host-parasite interaction in naturally infected ewes during the peripartum period. Four weeks before parturition, 25 ewes were divided into five treatment groups: (1) Dose Control: 0.2 mL of B complex via IM; (2) Drug Control: 2 mL Complex B via IM; (3) Acupoint Control: 0.2 mL of Water at GV14 point; (4) Control; (5) Test group: 0.2 mL of B complex at the GV14 point. Treatments were performed at weeks -3, -1, 2, 4, and 6 about the parturition time. Fecal samples to estimate the parasitic load by fecal egg counts (FEC) and total blood samples for hemogram examination were performed seven days after the treatment, coinciding with weeks -2, 3, 5, and 7 about the parturition time. The number of peripheral eosinophils was higher in group 3 than in group 1 (p <0.05). Although groups 3 and 5 had lower mean values of FEC and higher hematological values at the time of weaning, these differences were not statistically significant (p> 0.05) according to the F test. However, all animals in groups 3 and 5 maintained low parasitism levels until the end of the experiment. Further studies should be performed with larger sample sizes and minor changes to the experimental protocol to elucidate the role of GV14 acupoint stimulation in the host-parasite relationship.(AU)

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To explore if acupoint injection can improve analgesic effects or delivery outcomes in parturients who received combined spinal-epidural analgesia (CSEA) and patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) for labor analgesia.@*METHODS@#A total of 307 participants were prospectively collected from July 2017 to December 2019. The participants were randomized into the combined acupoint injection with CSEA plus PCEA group (AICP group, n=168) and CSEA plus PCEA group (CP group, n=139) for labor analgesia using a random number table. Both groups received CSEA plus PCEA at cervical dilation 3 cm during labor process, and parturients of the AICP group were implemented acupoint injection for which bilateral acupoint of Zusanli (ST 36) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) were selected in addition. The primary outcome was Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score, and the secondary outcomes were obstetric outcomes and requirement of anesthetics doses. Safety evaluations were performed after intervention.@*RESULTS@#The VAS scores were significantly lower in the AICP group than in the CP group at 10, 30, 60, and 120 min after labor analgesia (all P<0.05). The latent phase of the AICP group was shorter than that of the CP group (P<0.05). There were less additional anesthetics consumption, lower incidences of uterine atony, fever, pruritus and urinary retention in the AICP group than those in the CP group (all P<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#Acupoint injection combined CSEA plus PCEA for labor analgesia can decrease the anesthetic consumption, improve analgesic quality, and reduce adverse reactions in the parturients. ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To compare the effect of acupoint injection and intramuscular injection with mouse nerve growth factor (mNGF) on gross motor function development of children with cerebral palsy (CP), and explore the treatment mechanism.@*METHODS@#A total of 63 children with CP were randomly divided into an observation group (32 cases, 4 cases dropped off ) and a control group (31 cases, 3 cases dropped off). Based on the routine rehabilitation therapy, the control group received intramuscular injection of mNGF(18 µg/2 mL), and the observation group received acupoint injection of mNGF at Xinshu (BL 15), Ganshu (BL 18), Pishu (BL 20), Shenshu (BL 23), Sanjiaoshu (BL 22), Shenting (GV 24), Baihui (GV 20), Fengfu (GV 16), Dazhui (GV 14), etc. Of them, 5-6 acupoints alternately were selected each time, and each acupoint was given 0.3-0.5 mL, totally 18 µg/2 mL. Both treatment were carried out once every other day for six months. Before and after treatment, the children's development of brain function was assessed using gross motor function classification system (GMFCS). Before treatment (T), after 2 (T), 4 (T) and 6 (T) months of treatment, the motor function was evaluated by gross motor function measure (GMFM-88). The systolic peak velocity (Vs), mean velocity (Vm) and vascular resistance index (RI) of anterior cerebral artery (ACA) and middle cerebral artery (MCA) were measured, and the level of N-acetyl aspartate acid (NAA), choline (Cho), lactate (Lac) and creatine (Cr) from the basal ganglia, thalamus and periventricular white mater were detected by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) technology with MAGNETOM Skyra3.0T magnetic resonance imaging system before and after treatment.@*RESULTS@#Compared with before treatment, the GMFCS classification of the observation group after treatment was significantly improved (0.05), however, the observation group had a 3.142 times of feasibility for good gross motor function development by more than level 1 compared to the control group (<0.05). After 2, 4, and 6 months of treatment, the GMFM-88 scores of the two groups showed an upward trend (<0.01), and the increase of the observation group was greater than that of the control group (<0.05). Compared with before treatment, in the ACA and MCA, the Vs and Vm increased, RI decreased in both groups after treatment (<0.01), and in the brain, NAA/Cr increased, Cho/Cr and Lac/Cr decreased (<0.01), and after treatment, the Vs, Vm of ACA and MCA and NAA/Cr of brain in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (<0.05), and the RI of ACA and MCA and Cho/Cr and Lac/Cr of brain in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#The mNGF acupoint injection has a better effect on the gross motor function in the children with cerebral palsy compared with the intramuscular injection, and the mechanism may be associated with exhibiting the double effects of acupoint effect and the targeting therapy of drug, which can effectively improve the cerebral hemodynamics and the metabolism of cerebral nervous substances.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: A large number of clinical research data show that acupoint injection has the advantages of good therapeutic effect and few adverse reactions in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, but there is a lack of related multicenter and large-sample clinical trial. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of acupoint injection on the pain improvement and joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis by meta-analysis. METHODS: CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, CBM, PubMed, Embase and Cochrane Library databases were searched for the randomized controlled trials concerning the acupoint injection for treating knee osteoarthritis published before May 2019. The observation group was acupoint injection or acupoint injection combined with other treatments. The control group was the treatments different from acupoint injection. The language was either in Chinese or English. After screening, the data included in the study were extracted by Review Manager 5.3 software for meta-analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Sixteen randomized controlled trials were included, involving 1 287 patients (648 cases in the observation group, and 639 cases in the control group). (2) Meta-analysis results showed that the overall effective rate, cure rate, Lysholm score and Japanese Orthopaedic Association scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group [OR=3.23, 95%CI (2.19, 4.76), Z=5.91, P < 0.000 01; OR=1.86, 95%CI (1.35, 2.58), Z=3.74, P=0.000 2; MD=7.87, 95%CI (2.66, 13.08), Z=2.96, P=0.003; MD=9.16, 95%CI (4.18, 14.13), Z=3.61, P=0.000 3]. The Visual Analogue Scale score, WOMAC score, Lequesne index score, and the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups showed no significant difference [MD=-1.11, 95%CI (-2.29, 0.07), Z=1.84, P=0.07; MD=-7.56, 95%CI (-17.26, 2.14), Z=1.53, P=0.13; MD=-0.46, 95%C I(-1.62, 0.71), Z=0.77, P=0.44; OR=1.31, 95%CI (0.31, 5.57), Z=0.37, P=0.71]. (3) These results indicate that the efficacy of acupoint injection for treating knee osteoarthritis is accurate. Because the literature quality included in the study is not high and bias may exist, more high-quality randomized controlled trials are still needed to verify the conclusions.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the short-term and long-term therapeutic effects of internal heat-type acupuncture needle (IHTAN) therapy combined with acupoint injection of O3for post-stroke shoulder pain in apopletic patients. METHODS: Patients with post-stroke shoulder pain were divided into warm needle moxibustion + acupoint injection group (29 cases), acupoint injection group (30 cases) and IHTAN+acupoint injection group (29 cases) according to the random number table. For acupoint injection, O3 solution (3 mL, 30 µg/mL) was injected into Jianyu (LI15), Jianliao (SJ14), Jianzhen (LI9), Binao (LI14) and Ashi points (4-6 acupoints every time) on the affected side, once every other day for 4 weeks. For warm needle moxibustion, the above mentioned acupoints were stimulated with filiform needles attached with an ignited moxa-stick, once every other day for 4 weeks. For IHTAN, the internal warmth controllable acupuncture needles were inserted into the above mentioned acupoints on the affected side, and then connected to an internal heat acupuncture apparatus for stimulating the acupoints at 42 ℃, 20 min every time, once a week, for 4 weeks. The severity of shoulder pain was assessed by using visual analogue scale (VAS, 0-10 points), the upper limb joint motion function evaluated using Fugl-Meyer assessment scale (FMA, 0-66 points), and the ability of daily living activities (ADL) evaluated using Barthel index (0-100 points) at the ends of the 2nd and 4th week as well as the 6th month after the treatment. If the shoulder pain disappeared or basically disappeared, it was considered to be healed. If the pain was relieved, it was considered to be effective. Otherwise, it was considered to be ineffective. RESULTS: At the ends of the 2nd and 4th week as well as the 6th month after the treatment, the VAS scores of the IHTAN+acupoint injection group were significantly lower than those of the warm needle moxibustion+acupoint injection and acupoint injection groups (P0.05). Of the 29, 30 and 29 cases in the warm needle moxibustion+acupoint injection, acupoint injection and IHTNA+acupoint injection groups, 1, 0 and 7 cases at the 2nd week, 3, 2 and 12 cases at the 4th week, 4, 2 and 15 cases at the 6th month were cured; 15, 14 and 16 cases at the 2nd week, 17, 17 and 13 cases at the 4th week, and 18, 18 and 12 cases at the 6th month experienced marked improvement; 13, 16 and 6 cases at the 2nd week, 9, 11 and 4 cases at the 4th week, 7, 10 and 2 cases at the 6th month had no apparent changes in their shoulder pain severity, with the total effective rates at the 4th week and 6th month being 68.97% and 75.86%, 63.33% and 66.60%, and 86.21% and 93.10%, respectively. CONCLUSION: The internal heat-type acupuncture needle therapy combined with O3 acupoint injection has obvious short-term and long-term therapeutic effects for post-stroke shoulder pain and is obviously superior to warm needle moxibustion+ acupoint injection and simple acupoint injection in relieving shoulder pain and improving upper limb motion function.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of acupoint injection on expression of fork head/winged helix protein 3 (Foxp3), retinoic acid-related orphan receptor γt (RORγt) in nasal mucosa and serum interleukin-17 (IL-17) level in allergic rhinitis (AR) rats, so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of AR in terms of balancing Th17/Treg. METHODS: Thirty-two SD rats (half male and half female) were randomized into normal control, AR model, acupoint injection and non-acupoint injection groups (n=8 in each group). The AR model was established by ovalbumin sensitization. In the acupoint injection group, "Yintang" (EX-HN3) and bilateral "Yingxiang"(LI20) were selected for injection of mixture solution of dexamethasone (DEX) and transfer factor and lidocaine (0.1 mL/acupoint), once every 3 days for a total of 4 times. The non-acupoints, located at the mid-point between the "Houhai" (GV1) and "Huantiao"(GB30) on the bilateral hips and the sites 5 cm inferior to the axillary were injected with the same dose of mixture solution as that in the acupoint injection. The AR severity was assessed by cumulative quantification scoring methods (including the numbers of nose-catching and sneezes, and the amount of nasal secretions in 30 min). The expressions of Foxp3 and RORγt in the nasal mucosa were detected by immunohistochemistry. The serum IL-17 content was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).. RESULTS: The AR symptom score and serum IL-17 content were significantly higher in the AR model group than those in the normal control group (P0.05). The percentage of the Foxp3 positive cells and the ratio of Foxp3/RORγt were negatively correlated with the AR symptom score(P<0.05), the expression of RORγt and the content of IL-17 were positively correlated with the symptom score (P<0.05).. CONCLUSION: Acupoint injection is able to improve symptoms of RA rats, which may be related with its function in up-regulating the level of nasal mucosal Foxp3 and suppressing the levels of nasal RORγt and serum IL-17 to correct the imbalance of Th17/Treg.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To explore the effect and mechanism of surround needling combined with acupoint injection on acute herpetic neuralgia (AHN).@*METHODS@#Ninety-nine patients with T-T segment AHN were randomly divided into 3 groups, 33 cases in each group, including 2 cases dropped off in the surround needling group, 4 cases dropped off in the acupoint injection group, and 3 cases dropped off in the combined group. Oral valacyclovir was given in each group, 0.3 g each time, 2 times a day for 10 days. Oblique insertion of needle used at points around the herpes in the surround needling group, and continuous wave was stimulated to tolerance for 20 min; the same acupoints were selected as the surround needling group, stimulated with the mixture injection of mecobalamin and lidocaine in the acupoint injection group; After the surround needling, acupoint injection was performed in the combined group. The treatment was given once a day, 14 times for a course, and one course was needed in all groups. The skin healing conditions (blistering, crusting, and dislocation time) of each group were compared after treatment. The pain scores, pain area and quality of life scores in each group were observed before and after treatment. The levels of neuron specific enolase (NSE), substance P (SP) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) in the local blister fluid were measured before and after treatment in all groups.@*RESULTS@#The blistering, crusting and dislocation time in the combined group were earlier than the other two groups (all <0.05). The pain score and pain area in the each group were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the quality of life score was significantly higher than that before treatment (all <0.05). The improvements of pain score and quality of life score in the combined group were more obvious than the other two groups (all <0.05). After treatment, the levels of NSE, SP and CGRP in the local blister fluid in each groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (all <0.05). The indexes in the combined group were significantly lower than those in the other two groups (all <0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#Both surround needling and acupoint injection have an adjuvant effect on AHN. The combination of the two is better, the skin is healed quickly, the analgesia is significant, and the contents of local NSE, SP and CGRP are significantly decreased. The mechanism of action is to exert neuroprotective effects.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of joint application of electroacupuncture (EA), acupointinjection and fire-needle in the treatment of menopausal syndrome (MS) women. METHODS: One hundred MS patients were randomized into control group and combined treatment group (n=50 patients in each). The combined treatment group was treated by joint application of EA, acupoint-injection and fire-needle stimulation, and the control group treated by EA stimulation alone. EA was applied to Shenshu (BL 23), Xinshu (BL15), Taixi (KI 3), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Laogong (PC 8), Pishu (BL 20), etc., for 30 min, once daily for 10 days. Point-injection of red ginseng-ophiopogon root injection (0.5 mL) or red-hot needle stimulation was applied to bilateral BL15, BL 20, SP 6 and BL 23 once daily for 10 days and once every other day for 5 times, respectively. The modified Kupperman index scale was used to evaluate symptoms (hot flashes and night sweats: 4 points; paresthesia, insomnia, dyspareunia, irritability and problems of urinary system: 2 point each; depression, dizziness, fatigue, joint pain or muscular pain, headache, palpitation, skin formication: 1 point each) of the perimenopausal syndrome, and 3 months' follow-up survey was conducted after the treatment. Each symptom score was calculated as the product of the symptom severity score (0, no; 1, mild; 2, moderate; 3, severe) multiplied by the points of symptom index. The total Kupperman score was the sum of the scores of all the items. The therapeutic effect was also evaluated according to the "Guiding Principles for Clinical Trials of New Drugs of Chinese Materia Medica" (2002). RESULTS: The Kupperman scores were significantly decreased following the 10 days' treatment and 3 months thereafter in both control and combined treatment groups in comparison with their individual pretreatment (P<0.05), and were obviously lower in the combined treatment group than in the control group after treatment (P<0.05). Of the both 50 patients in the control and combined treatment groups, 22(44%) and 35 (70%) experienced a remarkably improvement, 18(36%) and 12(24%) were effective, and 10(20%) and 3 (6%) ineffective, with the total effective rates being 80% and 94%, respectively. The therapeutic effect of the combined treatment group was notably superior to that of the control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The joint application of electroacupuncture (EA), acupoint-injection and fire needle is significantly superior to that of simple EA in improving the symptoms of patients with menopausal syndrome.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of acupoint injection at "Yingxiang"(LI 20) and "Yintang"(GV 29) on nasal allergic reactions and the expression of histamine receptor H 1 and H 4 in nasal mucosa of allergic rhinitis (AR) rats, so as to reveal its mechanism underlying improvement of AR. METHODS: SD rats were randomized into normal, model, non-acupoint injection and acupoint injection groups (n=8 in each). The AR model was established by intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of mixture of ovalbumin, aluminium hydroxide gel and normal saline (once every other day, for 7 times), and nasal drip of ovalbumin (on the following day of i.p.for 7 days). The mixture solution of lidocaine, dexamethasone (DXM) and transfer factor (0.1 mL/acupoint or non-acupoint) was injected into bilateral LI 20 and GV 29 in the acupoint injection group, or into the non-acupoints (about 5 cm below the armpit on both sides, and the middle point between the left "Houhai"[GV 1] and "Huantiao"[GB 30]), on the 1st , 5th, 9th, and 13th day after modeling. Symptoms of sneezing, nasal discharge, nose-rubbing, etc. were scored after the treatment. The expression levels of H1 R and H4 R proteins and genes in the nasal mucosa tissue were determined using immunohistochemistry and quantitative real-time PCR, respectively. RESULTS: Compared with the normal group, the symptom score and the expression levels of H1 R, H4 R proteins and genes in nasal mucosa were significantly increased in the model group (P0.05), suggesting a specificity of the effect of acupoint injection. CONCLUSION: Acupoint injection can relieve the allergic symptoms of AR rats, which may be related to its effects in down-regulating the over expression of H1 R and H4 R proteins and genes in the nasal mucosa.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To observe the effect of acupoint injection of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) combined with Chinese herbs of benefiting for activating blood circulation for capillary density and arterioles density in skeletal muscle in ischemic hind limb of diabetes mellitus (DM) rats.@*METHODS@#A total of 80 rats were randomized into a normal sham operation group (10 rats) and a model group (70 rats). Disposable intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ, 50.0 mg/kg) was used to establish DM model, and the rats in the model group were randomized into 7 subgroups, 10 rats in each one. The subgroups were the DM sham operation group, DM ischemic group, Chinese herb group (intragastric herbs of benefiting for activating blood circulation), local injection group (BMSCs local injection), local injection + Chinese herb group (BMSCs local injection combined with intragastric herbs of benefiting for activating blood circulation), acupoint injection group (BMSCs acupoint injection), acupoint injection + Chinese herb group (BMSCs acupoint injection combined with intragastric herbs of benefiting for activating blood circulation). The local injection was phosphate buffer (PBS) injection at the equidistant 5 points along the line between the ischemic tissue and the normal tissue a time. The acupoints were "Sanyinjiao" (SP 6), "Zhaohai" (KI 6), "Huantiao" (GB 30), "Housanli" (ST 36) and "Yanglingquan" (GB 34). 100 μL BMSCs with 1×10/mL was totally injected at the above acupoints for one rat, 20 μL an acupoint. 1.5 kg/L Chinese herbs were applied by intragastric administration, including 120 g Radix Astragali, 120 g Codonopsis, 48 g Radix Glycyrrhiza, 120 g Angelica sinensis, 120 g Blood Rattan, 48 g Achyranthes bidentata. Intragastric distilled water was used in the other non-Chinese herb groups. The expressions of α-smooth muscle actin (α-actin), latelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule (CD31) and von willebrand factor (vWF) in the skeletal muscle were detected with immunohistochemical SP two-step method.@*RESULTS@#Twenty-one days after intervention, the expressions of α-actin and CD31 on the operation hind limb were higher than those on the healthy hind limb in all the groups, except the Chinese herb group (<0.05<0.01). The vWF expressions on the operation side were lower than those on the healthy side in the Chinese herb group, the local injection group, the local injection + Chinese herb group and the acupoint injection + Chinese herb group (<0.05, <0.01). The α-actin expression on the operation side in the acupoint injection + Chinese herb group was higher than those in the normal sham operation group, DM sham operation group, the DM ischemic group and the local injection group (<0.05, <0.01). The CD31 expressions in the acupoint injection group, the acupoint injection + Chinese herb group, local injection + Chinese herb group were higher than those in the normal sham operation group, DM sham operation group and DM ischemic group (<0.05, <0.01). The CD31 expression in the acupoint injection + Chinese herb group was higher than those in the Chinese herb group and the local injection group (both <0.05). The vWF expressions in the local injection + Chinese herb group, the acupoint injection group and the acupoint injection + Chinese herb group lower than those in the DM sham operation group and the DM ischemic group (<0.05, <0.01).@*CONCLUSION@#schemia increases the expressions of the vascular density related factors of α-actin and CD31. It is more obvious for the increasing expressions of α-actin and CD31, and decreasing expression of vWF with the interventions of simple BMSCs injection and simple Chinese herbs of benefiting for activating blood circulation, especially with the combination of the above tow methods. It is indicated that acupoint injection of BMSCs combined with Chinese herbs of benefiting for activating blood circulation can improve the angiogenesis of ischemic tissue.

ABSTRACT

Objective To assess the clinical curative effect of acupoint injection for the treatment of nape-back fasciitis by Meta-analysis, thus to provide evidence for the treatment of nape-back fasciitis. Methods A retrieval of literatures concerning treatment of nape-back fasciitis with acupoint injection was carried out in the databases of Cochrane Library, PubMed, CMB, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP. Review Manager 5.3 software was used for the evaluation of methodological quality and bias risk of the included randomized controlled trials(RCT) which met the enrolling requirements. At the same time, Meta-analysis was carried out for the main outcome measure of effective rate and the secondary outcome measures of platelet aggregation rate and thromboxan A2 (TXA2) level. Results A total of 10 RCT involving 833 cases were included. The results showed that the treatment group had higher effective rate than the control group (OR = 7.21, 95% CI [ 4.16, 12.49] , in the combined effect test Z = 7.04) , and the difference was significant(P < 0.01); the treatment group had better effect on decreasing the platelet aggregation rate {mean difference(MD) being 2.50, 95% CI [1.34, 3.66], Z =4.23} and on reducing the level of TXA2 (MD = 33.35, 95%CI [22.97, 43.72], Z = 6.30) than the control group, the difference being significant (P < 0.01). Conclusion Acupoint injection exerts certain therapeutic effect for the treatment of nape-back fasciitis, and its effect on reducing blood inflammatory factors is better than that of acupuncture or drug therapy alone. However, due to the small quantity and low quality of the included studies, more large-sample, multi-center and high-quality clinical studies are needed to validate the results.

In the control group, the intravenous drip of cefoxitin sodium was adopted, and the anti-inflammation treatment was given for 1 week after operation. In the heat sensitive moxibustion group, on the basis of the treatment as the control group, the heat sensitive moxibustion was applied after vaginal bleeding stopped. The acupoints were Yaoyangguan (GV 3), Guanyuan (CV 4), Qihai (CV 6), Shenshu (BL 23), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Yinlingquan (SP 9) and Zigong (EX-CA1). The acupoints were modified according to the different syndromes. In the combined therapy group, on the basis of the regimen as the heat sensitive moxibustion group, after vaginal bleeding stopped, the acupoint injection was given alternatively at bilateral Tiangong (extra, 1.0 cm inferior and bilateral to the cervix) with lidocaine 1 mL, amikacin 2 mL and salvia injection 2 mL. The treatment was given once every day, the treatment for 10 times as one course and a total of 3 courses were required. The endometrial type, thickness, uterine arterial plusatility index (PI) and resistance index (RI) were observed in the patients of each group.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>After treatment, the numbers of A-type endometrial type in the combined therapy group and the heat sensitive moxibustion group were remarkably higher than those of the control group [57.1% (40/7) vs 31.4% (22/70), 50.0% (35/70) vs 31.4% (22/70), both<0.05]. The endometrial thickness after treatment was all increased as compared with that before treatment in each group (all<0.05). The increasing degree in the combined therapy group was better than either the heat sensitive moxibustion group or the control group (both<0.05). The improvement in the heat sensitive moxibustion group was superior to the control group (<0.05). PI and RI in the combination group and PI in the control group were decreased after treatment (all<0.05). The improvements of PI and RI in the combination group were better than those in the heat moxibustion group (both<0.05), which were superior to those in the control group (all<0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>In the patients of hypdrosalphinx infertility after hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, the combined therapy of heat sensitive moxibustion and acupoint injection increases endometrial thickness, reduces uterine arterial resistance and improves endometrial receptivity.</p>
