The control class was taught by traditional teaching methods and experimental class was taught by new teaching methods. The test was conducted after one month later. All the scores were analyzed by SPSS17.0. The result showed that the oretical score ,the practical score and disease recognition rates in the experimental class were significantly higher than those in the control class (P<0.05). The questionnaires showed experimental class had obvious advantage than control class (P<0.05). ABSTRACT

Under the background of dual-track training mode, the current clinical program of professional master's graduate education lacks complete and unified content and requirements. We set out a unified teaching scheme of subspecialty, in the main subject acupuncture. We identified the teaching management and innovated the teaching and examination methods in the scheme. Our research gradually formed a multidisciplinary talents training system, as the foundation of developing the standardization training. This method could help to cultivate qualified graduates as the high quality talents for the national medicine development.

ABSTRACT

The thoroughfare vessel is one of eight extra meridians and named sea of viscera, sea of blood and sea of twelve meridians. The thoroughfare vessel is closely related to qi and blood and has important guiding significance for clinical practice. Analysis of literature about the thoroughfare vessel finds that the literature of past dynasties has different descriptions of the initial site of the thoroughfare vessel. Qichong, infrarenal, Guanyuan and uterus were considered as its initial site. By summarizing the related statements of past dynasties, this article analyzes different initial sites of the thoroughfare vessel and considers that infrarenal uterus is the initial site of the thoroughfare vessel. That not only enriches and develops the physiological and pathological theories of the thoroughfare vessel and endows the thoroughfare vessel with more extensive contents but also provides more clinical guidance.

ABSTRACT

Textbook evaluation is of great significance in teaching studies and activities. By taking the establishment of evaluation index system forExperimental Acupuncture-moxibustion Science as an example, this article discussed the process and method of adopting the analytic hierarchy process for textbook evaluation: 3 levels, 4 dimensions, and 20 evaluation indexes were developed for the evaluation ofExperimental Acupuncture-moxibustion Science textbook, and each component of the indexes was assigned weight, based on which, a scale was established and preliminarily evaluated, in order to provide reference for the evaluation of the textbooks of traditional Chinese medicine.

ABSTRACT

Nine basic issues on acupuncture-moxibustion science are discussed in this paper. The author believes those include the universal property of acupoints, the placebo effect of acupuncture and moxibustion, the continuous transmission of acupuncture information, the factors of the effects such as growth as well as acquired shape and properties, the classification evidence of acupoint function, the compatibility of acupoints, the change of functional state of acupoint and. The universal property of acupoints means whether there is identical position of acupoint among different ethnic groups. The continuous transmission of acupuncture information is seen as whether the delivery which mainly shows as diffusion maintains active in special region and situation. The classification evidence of acupoint function refers to if there exists universal biological basis.

ABSTRACT

There are the obvious differences in the framework and structure between the teaching materials of acupuncture and moxibustion in the Republic of China and the traditional works, in which, the importance to the techniques is very clear. ①Attaching the great importance to the manipulation elements of acupuncture-moxibustion techniques:explaining clearly the preparation and the storage of the device of acupuncture and moxibustion, as well as the manipulation procedures and methods. ②Attaching the great importance to the localization of acupoint and decreasing the consideration to the theory of meridians and collaterals. ③Connecting the principles of acupuncture and moxibustion with the operation procedures and emphasizing the scientific evidences. The changes mentioned above originate from the following profound social and historical factors. ①Influences from the western culture and advanced science and technology, in which, pursuit of scientific and practical value is the mainstream in the time of Republic of China. ②Attaching the great importance to the specific characteristics of acupuncture and moxibustion and the training to the technical personnel, by which, the medical scholars of acupuncture and moxibustion in the Republic of China could enable the science of acupuncture and moxibustion to be survived and then developed in adverse situation. ③The scientific elaboration of the principle of acupuncture and moxibustion is a kind of academic adjustment on the influence of western learning.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the current situation of applying case-based learning (CBL) to the education of acupuncture-moxibustion by investigating the published literatures involving CBL in medical education.Method The literatures published between 2001 and 2015 were retrieved from VIP, CNKI, CBM, and WanFang databases, and the manuscripts about the application of CBL in the education of acupuncture-moxibustion were classified and analyzed.Result The related literatures involving the application of CBL in the education of acupuncture-moxibustion were rather limited, not enough for revealing the action and significance of CBL in the education of acupuncture-moxibustion.Conclusion CBL accords with the strong practicality of acupuncture-moxibustion, and is worth promotion; however, there are some shortcomings in the compiling of cases, students grouping, evaluation of study results, and the capability of teachers, which expect further standardization of teaching process and comprehensive use of advanced teaching methods, for cultivating elites in acupuncture-moxibustion.

ABSTRACT

This article summarized the characteristics and rules of acupoints grouping recorded in Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor’s Canon of Internal Medicine), holding that it had passed important concept of acupoints grouping, formed the embryonic form, and brought up basic grouping types including distant and proximal grouping, and interior-exterior grouping, despite the small number of involved acupoints. Besides, it also paid much attention to other factors that may influence the therapeutic efficacy of acupoints grouping. Therefore, Huang Di Nei Jing has played a crucial role in guiding the development of acupoints grouping theories.
