ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the effect of knee-chest position on exhaust and defecation of gynecologic diseases patients after laparoscopic surgery.@*Methods@#This quasi-experiment trail was conducted between July 2016 to May 2017, in a birth control ward at an obstetrics and gynecology hospital in Beijing, China. The study included a total of 258 patients who had gynecological benign diseases and received gynecological laparoscopic surgery. Participants were recruited in the trail by using a convenient sampling method with 130 patients who received gynecological laparoscopic surgery from July 2016 to December 2016 in the experimental group (on the basis of routine care, patients preformed a knee-chest position intervention after 6 hours of the surgery) and 128 patients who received gynecologic laparoscopic surgery between January 2017 and May 2017 in the control group (patients received a routine care). The primary end point was the postoperative anal exhaust.@*Results@#The ambulation rate before post-operative ventilation of the experimental group was 21.5% (28/130) less than that of the control group (91.4%, 117/128). The difference was statistically significant (χ2=127.903, P<0.01). The incidence of abdominal distension after operation was 0, lower than that of the control group 7.0% (9/128), the difference was statistically significant (χ2=9.471, P<0.01). The postoperative exhaust time and defecation time of the experimental group was (8.17 ± 2.88) h,(27.86 ± 4.29) h, earlier than that of the control group, (21.24 ± 5.90) h,(38.69 ± 7.73) h, and the differences were statistically significant (t=22.580, 13.885, P<0.01).@*Conclusions@#Postoperative knee-chest position significantly improved the exhaust and defecation of patients with gynecological benign disease after laparoscopic surgery.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of early food intake for the patients undergoing orthopedic surgery under intravertebral anesthesia or general anesthesia. Methods A total of 52 cases of orthopedic surgeries under intravertebral anesthesia or general anesthesia from the orthopedic department in the First Hospital of Tsinghua University were randomly divided into an experiment group (n=30) and control group (n=22).The experiment group followed the orders of their doctor, allowed to eat food any time after the anesthesia wore off (without exhaustion beforehand) and the control group was asked to eat after 6~8h.The two groups were compared in terms of the first time for exhaustion, the feeding amount for the first time and the symptoms for the first time. Results The first time for exhaustion in the experiment group was earlier than that of the control group, showing significant difference between them (P<0.05).The amount of food intake of the two groups was insignificantly different (P>0.05).After the first feeding, the patients in the experiment group had no nausea/vomiting and abdominal distension, and the incidence of thirst and hunger was significantly lower in the experiment group than that in the control group (P<0.05).The discharge time was significantly earlier than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion It is feasible for patients undergoing orthopedic surgery to eat food early.Patients are able to eat food once they are conscious and it is not necessary to wait until gastrointestinal function fully recovered.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the anal exhaust effect in patients treated with warm water foot bath after laparoscopic surgery. Methods 90 cases after laparoscopic surgery including renal cancer , renal cysts, epinephrine-tumor patients were randomly divided into A , B and C group.Nursing measures were given at 6 hours after operation. A group were treated with warm water feet bath ; B group received abdominal ring massage ; And C group were control group.Time of anal exhaust postoperatively was observed among the 3 groups. Results Anal exhaust time after oper-ation in A group was average (24.34 ±0.28) hours, which was significantly shorter than in B group (33.07 ±0.18) h and C group (37.90 ±0.19) h (p <0.01).Conclusion Warm water foot bath can promote the anal exsufflation rapidly, effectively after laparoscopic surgery in Urology patients , and has great significance helpful to early recovery .

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of foot bath with traditional Chinese medicine on physical recovery of patients after cesarean section,in order to prevent postoperative complications. Methods180 cases of parturients after cesarean section were divided into the control group and the experimental group with 90 cases in each group according to ward number and bed number. The experimental group began foot bath 6 hours postoperation, and in the next 3 to 5 days, took foot bath at 7:00 to 8:00 and 21:00 to 22:00 every day,20 minutes per time. The control group only received routine nursing. The anus exhaust time and independent ambulation time were observed. ResultsThe anal exhaust time for the first time, independent ambulation time of the experimental group was earlier than the control group. ConclusionsFoot bath with traditional Chinese medicine can promote gastrointestinal function recovery and early ambulation, improve appetite and sleep quality, reduce postoperative complication and promote physical recovery after surgery.
