ABSTRACT
Este artigo aborda a importância dos sonhos na infância e seu paralelo com o desenvolvimento infantil sob a perspectiva teórica da psicologia analítica. Os dados apresentados referem-se a um recorte de uma pesquisa de campo denominada A expressão do arquétipo do herói nas imagens oníricas de crianças, visando compreender as manifestações oníricas na infância por meio do conteúdo dos sonhos, expressos em relatos e em desenhos. O arquétipo do herói simboliza a força do ego que luta diante dos desafios da primeira etapa da vida do sujeito para libertar-se do mundo materno, e o direciona para a adaptação ao mundo externo. A pesquisa aponta que o universo onírico infantil é fértil na apresentação de seus enredos e importante na organização do sujeito frente aos imperativos do desenvolvimento e das exigências do mundo externo.
The article discusses the importance of dreams in childhood and its parallel with the child's development, from the theoretical perspective of analytical psychology. The data presented referto a part of a research field, called The expression of the hero archetype in dream images of children in order to understand the dream manifestations in childhood, through the content of dreams expressed in reports and drawings. The hero archetype symbolizes the ego strength to fight the challenges of the first stage of the subject's life, to free themselves from the world and directs maternal adaptation to the external world. The research shows that children dream universe is fertile in presenting their plots and important organization in front of the subject to the imperatives of development and the demands of the external world.
