ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To identify the representative attributes of the five elements of a person with a qualitative methodology and provide the basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of "people with the five elements in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)."@*METHODS@#Data collected from the literature review, two sessions of brainstorming of experts with related experience in "people with the five elements in TCM" from October 2020 to December 2020, and six rounds of in-depth interviews with 30 participants who had various attributes of the five elements from March 2021 to October 2021 were analyzed. Triangulation was used in this study, and theming and synthesizing were used to analyze the data.@*RESULTS@#A total of 31 experts and 30 interviewees participated in this study. The median age of the experts and interviewees were 48.0 and 38.5 years, respectively; 51.66% and 54.8% of experts and interviewees, respectively, were men. The descriptors of facial diagrams of "people with the five elements in TCM" were complexion, shape, distribution state of facial bones, convergence trend of facial muscles, and facial expression. A theoretical model of "people with the five elements in TCM" was shaped based on these findings.@*CONCLUSION@#The study suggests a possibility for bridging the gap between personality and bodily state, identifying an avenue for personality research from the perspective of TCM.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the application value of PAD (Presentation-Assimilation-Discussion) class and case teaching combined with brainstorming in the practice teaching of nursing students in the department of cardiovascular surgery. Methods:A total of 81 undergraduate nursing students who practiced in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from June 2019 to April 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into the control group ( n=40, brainstorming teaching) and the observation group ( n=41, PAD class combined with case teaching). After one month of intervention, the teaching effect on the two groups of nursing students were evaluated through the nursing students' clinical communication ability scale, Chinese version of self-assessment of clinical reflection and reasoning (SACRR), and competency inventory for registered nurse (CIRN). And the teaching quality was assessed by the clinical nursing teacher teaching behavior assessment scale. SPSS 22.0 was used for t-test. Results:The scores of each dimension and total scores of clinical communication ability scale, Chinese version SACRR and CIRN of nursing students in the observation group were higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). The scores of nursing teaching behavior evaluation of clinical teachers in the observation group were higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The combination of PAD class and case teaching with brainstorming can improve the clinical communication ability of nursing students in cardiovascular surgery practice, help to promote the transformation of their clinical thinking ability, improve their core competences, and play an important role in improving the teaching quality.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To shorten emergency deployment time of defibrillator by using the management method of Deming cycle (plan do check action, PDCA). Methods: The PDCA management method was used to guide the quality control of the emergency deployment of defibrillator. And according to the actual situation of the emergency deployment rehearsal for the defibrillator, the "brainstorming method" was applied to analyze the reasons of the problem, and the main influence factors that affect the emergency deployment time of defibrillator were confirmed. And the specific solutions were formulated according to the "5W1H" method. And then these measurements were implemented and the inspection results were further summarized and analyzed. Results: From February 2016 to September, the average deployment time of defibrillator was 4.14 minutes in the 28 emergency drills. Compared with the pre-implementation of the PDCA management measures, the deployment time was shortened by 40.9%, and it saved 2.86 minutes. Conclusion: The application of PDCA management method can shorten the emergency deployment time of defibrillator, and its effect is obvious. This method can be used in other emergency management and devices management of life support so as to ensure the emergency deployment efficiency of first-aid and life support devices in hospital.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of PDCA management combined with brainstorming on the nursing cooperation degree and adverse events in digestive endoscopy therapy. Methods: 500 patients received digestive endoscopy were divided into control group (n=250) and observation group (n=250) according to the number table method. The patients of control group received routine nursing care of digestive endoscopy room, and the patients of observation group adopted PDCA management method combined with brainstorming method to carry out nursing analysis and research. The nursing cooperation degree and adverse events of two groups were observed and researched. Results: The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (x2=10.28, P<0.05). SAS score of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (t=12.54, P<0.05). And the nursing satisfaction degree of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (x2= 26.08, P<0.05). And the complication of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (x2=16.33, P<0.05). Besides, the incidence of adverse events of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group (x2=16.10,P<0.05).Conclusion: PDCA management combined with brainstorming can effectively enhance the nursing cooperation degree and reduce the adverse events of patients who received digestive endoscopy therapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the application of PBL teaching method and brainstorming method in the training of medical students' medical record writing ability,in order to strengthen the cultivation of medical students' medical record writing ability. Methods 122 medical undergraduate interns of Grade 2010 majoring in clinical medicine in our hospital were taken as the research object,of which 60 were in the experimental group,62 were in the control group.PBL teaching combined with brainstorming method was used in the experimental group, while the control group used the traditional teaching method of teaching. After the end of the training course, data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 software, count data and measurement data were analyzed using chi square test and t test to carry out the significant test between the two groups of data, the training effect was compared between the two groups. Results The results of questionnaire in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant,The experimental group theory test scores were higher than the control group[(84.28 ± 6.65) vs.(74.52 ± 6.75)],and the difference was statistically significant; The experimental group outstanding achievement ratio was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant; The proportion of operation and non operative medical records in the experimental group were higher than that in the control group (P=0.005,P=0.004).Conclusion Combined application of PBL teaching method and brainstorming method plays a positive role in superposition and complementation. It gives full play to and mobilizes the students' enthusiasm and initiative, and the training effect is obviously superior to the traditional teaching method, therefore it is worth popularization and application in the training of students' medical record writing ability.
