ABSTRACT

Objective To assess the clinical value of compression-braking pants in preventing postoperative bleeding and pressure sore after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).Methods A total of 50 patients with liver cancer, who received interventional treatment via femoral artery route at authors' hospital during the period from May 2015 to May 2016,were enrolled in this study. The patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 25 patients in each group. In the observation group, the patients were asked to put on the compression-braking pants after TACE procedure and routine postoperative nursing care was executed as usual. In the control group, routine postoperative nursing care and compression of puncture point with sandbag were carried out. After TACE,the conditions of local congestion, local hematoma, formation of pseudoaneurysm at the puncture site, etc.in both groups were recorded. The local skin conditions, including skin moist feeling, burning sensation, feeling of numbness and rubefaction were determined. Results The postoperative bleeding incidence in the observation group was 4%,which was obviously lower than 32% in the control group. No pressure sore occurred in both groups. In aspect of skin moist feeling, burning sensation, feeling of numbness and rubefaction, the observation group was significantly superior to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The use of compression-braking pants after TACE can effectively prevent the occurrence of postoperative bleeding and pressure sore. The compression-braking pants have reasonable design and simple structure, and it is easy to put on and take off the pants. The use of the pants can improve patient's comfort and satisfaction. Therefore,it is worth promoting its use in clinical practice.

ABSTRACT

Braking visual control was studied in recreational cyclists through the manipulation of bicycle's velocity at braking initiation (low, medium, and high) and approaching trajectory (straight and curved) with respect to a stationary obstacle. The hypothesis was that the type of trajectory, exclusively or interacting with initial velocity, would affect time to collision visual information (tau margin) and its first derivative in time (tau-dot), respectively, in the onset and during braking. The results revealed that velocity affected significantly tau margin while tau-dot remained unaltered independently of condition. The type of trajectory clearly did not affect the visual control of braking in cyclists.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the braking time in diagnosis of lipohemarthrosis by ultrasound. Methods Experiment group:After 20 tubes containing fresh blood and pig marrow were uniformly mixed, they were instantly continuously detected by high-frequency linear array transducer in fixed-area at short-interval.Clinical group: Ten walking patients with lipohemarthrosis were examined with continuous detection by ultrasound,CT and MR before operation. Results Experiment group: Cloudy echo and slowly floating up of lipoids were detected at the beginning. After 2.7 to 3.7 minutes (average 3.17 minutes), the liquid was divided into two layers with vague boundary. After 5.3 to 8.0 minutes (average 6.75 minutes) ,the liquid was divided into 3 layers with thickening serum laye.Clinical group: Ultrasound findings: Cloudy medium echo was detected at first. After 2.0 to 4.0 minutes (average 3.08 minutes),the liquid was divided into two layers. After 4.4 to 10.0 minutes (average 6.92 minutes) , the liquid was divided into 3 layers with thickening serum layers.Three knees showed fracture line and 2 knees with occult fracture were diagnosed as lipohemarthrosis.CT and MR findings: Ten knees showed fracture line in CT examination,of which 7 knees showed double liquid-liquid layer and 3 knees showed single liquid-liquid layer in the suprapatellar bursa.Ten knees showed fracture line in MR examination,6 knees showed double liquid-liquid layer and 4 knees showed single liquid-liquid layer in the suprapatellar bursa. Conclusions The best braking time in diagnosing lipohemarthrosis by ultrasound can be shorten to 10 minutes and the necessary braking time is 2 to 4 minutes.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo study the proper braking and bed rest time for patients with TACE operation. Methods Divided 236 patients with TACE operation into the control group (100 cases) and the experimental group (136 cases) randomly. In the control group, the braking time and the bed rest time was 8 hours and 24 hours respectively, while in the experimental group, they were 5 hours and 12 hours respectively.Compared incidence rate of complication between the 2 groups. Results The differences of complications which relevant to puncture between the two groups were not significant,P值=0.419, while the complications which irrelevant to the puncture between the two groups were significant,P
