ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To study the microscopic TLC characteristics of Fritillaria thunbergii,Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae,Fritillaria hupehensis,Fritillaria ussuriensis and Bulbus Fritillariae Pollidiflorae.METHODS: The five kinds of Fritillaria(powder)was identified microscopically in accordance with Chinese Pharmacopeia,and two development systems were applied for the TCL identification of the five kinds of Fritillaria.RESULTS: The microscopic characteristics of the 5 kinds of Fritillaria were obtained.Both peimine and peiminine were noted in the TLC of Fritillaria thanbergii,Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae,Fritillaria hupehensis and Fritillaria ussuriensis,but were not noted in the TLC of Bulbus Fritillariae Pollidiflorae,however,imperialine was noted in the TLC of Bulbus Fritillariae Pollidiflorae.CONCLUSION: The results serve as basis for the identification of 5 kinds of Fritillaria.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To establish the method for the determination of total alkaloid in cultivated BulBus Fritillariae Cirrhosae. METHODS:Spectrophotography was used to determine the content of total alkaloids with kashmirine as control,bromocresol green as colored indicator at detection wavelength of 416 nm. RESULTS:The linear range of kashmirine were 4.5~14.5 ?g?mL-1 (r=0.999 6) with an average recovery of 98.76%(RSD=2.5%,n=6).CONCLUSION:The method is simple,accurate and relia-ble for the quality control of cultivated BulBus Fritillariae Cirrhosae.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the classification of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae medical materials indexed in different versions of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.METHODS:The Songbei powder and the Limpet powder were identified by microscopy;then the chemical constituents of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae from 4 origins and their respective market price were analyzed.RESULTS:The microscopic identification results showed that the differences between Songbei and the Limpet were great;the assay of chemical constituents also showed that there were significant differences among the four varieties of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae,suggesting the 4 species had significant differences in drug efficacy.Viewed from market demand,the prices of Songbei and Fritillaria delavayi Franch.delavayi had great differences.CONCLUSOIN:The Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae refers to "one group" instead of "one kind".It should be composed of 4 species:Fritillaria cirrhosa D.Don,Fritillaria unibracteata Hsiao et K.C.Hsia(Songbei),Fritillaria przewalskii Maxim.(Minbei) and Fritillaria delavayi Franch.delavayi.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the influence of mill speed on extract of ultra- fine powder of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae. Methods The extraction rate of ultra- fine powder of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae, which passed a 400- mesh screen, was detected and compared with that passed a 100- mesh screen under different mill speeds. At the same time, mathematical models for extraction established with applied hyperbolic function and Weibuer function were compared. Result The extraction rate of the ultra- fine powder was higher than that of the fine powder when the mill speed was over 70 r/min (P 0.05). Applied hyperbolic function was superior to Weibuer function for the simulation of extraction. Conclusion The mill speed has an influence on the extraction of to ultra- fine powder of Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae, indicating that the effect of divergent function on the extraction should be considered.
