ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of BLUP (best linear unbiased predictor) to predict hybrid performance based on parents, comparing the results obtained with the Diallel analysis. For this, were performed diallel crosses among six common bean genotypes: Xan 159, Pérola, BAF 63, IPR Uirapuru, Supreme BRS and BRS Valente. All plants were evaluated for important agronomic characteristics. The data were subjected to diallel analysis model I and method I of Griffing (1956) that estimated the general ability and specific combining, and using BLUP were obtained the values predicted of parents and their hybrids. After correlation analysis was performed between the BLUP's and the mean squares of general ability and specific combining. However, we conclude that the association BLUP Diallel analysis enables the identification of segregating populations, enabling rapid development of new cultivars.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To determine magnolol and honokiol in Huoxiangzhengqi Capsule(oil of Herba Agastachis, oil of Perillae, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis, etc.).Methods: A supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) has been used to extract magnolol and honokiol in Huoxiangzhengqi Capsule, and CGC was used to analyse the extracts. Results: The average rccovery was 96.81% ( RSD =2.81%, n =5) for magnolol, and 97.75% ( RSD =2.36%, n =5) for honokiol, respectively. Conclusion: The SFE CGC offline method for the analysis of Huoxiangzhengqi capsule is simple, quick and accurate.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To establish a HS CGC method for the analysis of residual petroleum ether (60~90?C) in Kanglaite Capsules. Methods: Headspace sampling, a fused silica analytical column with cross linked 95% dimethyl and 5% diphenyl siloxanes station phase (30m?320?m?0.25?m), column temperature at 40?C, a linear velocity of about 19 cm per second, FID detector. Results: The average recovery is 97.2% (RSD=2.87%, n=5). The minimal detection limit is 2.65?10 -8 g?mL -1 (signal/noise=1.3).Conclusion: The method is simple and accurate, and can be used as a control method for the residual organic solvent in the capsules.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To establish a method for detecting the residual solvents in protopanaxdiol. METHODS: Capillary GC with HP-PLOT-Q column (30 m ? 0. 53 mm ? 1. 0 ?m) was used to determine residual in protopanaxdiol. N,N-dimethyl-acetamide as solvent media,FID detector and nitrogen as the carrier gas. RESULTS: There was a good linearity at the experimental concentration (r = 0. 999 96-0. 999 99),the RSD of precision was less than 6. 0 % . The spotting recovery of the 3 residul, including methol, ethyl acetate and n-butanol,was in the range of 98. 2%-102. 2% ,and its’RSD was 1. 1%-2. 4% . CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate and of high sensitivity, can be used for the determination of residual solvents in protopanaxdiol.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To establish the fingerprint analysis of Yadanzi Youru Injection(Fructus Bruceae) and to provide the quality information by capillary gas chromatography(CGC). METHODS: The CGC method was used. The capillary column was Supelcowax~(TM)-10(30 m?250 ?m?0.25 ?m),The detector was FID. RESULTS: The result showed that 4 peaks were common and the content of oleic acid in Yadanzi Youru Injection was determined. The linear ranges were within(0.34)~(2.07) ?g/L,r=0.999 9 n=5; CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate and reproducible. It can be applied to the quality control of Yadanzi Your Injection.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To establish the quality standard of Siang Pure Oil (menthol, peppermint oil, camphor, cassia oil, basil oil, etc.). METHODS: TLC was used for the identification of cassia oil and basil oil. Capillary gas chromatography (CGC) was used for the identification and determination of camphor and menthol. RESULTS: The TLC and CGC identification were highly specific. The standard curves of camphor and menthol were linear in the range of 0.1018~0.1832?g, and of 0.5947~1.3875?g, respectively. The average recoveries of camphor and menthol were 102.4%, 99.2% and the RSD were 2.3%, 1.4%, respectively. CONCLUSION: This quality standard is capable of effectively controlling the quality of Siang Pure Oil.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the correlation between bacterial cryptic growth cell(CGC)and irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Methods The techniques of micro-culture and morphological observation were employed in examination of the CGC in feces specimens of patients suffering from IBS.Furthermore, the animal monitoring tests was applied in the aspects of CGC formation under inducing factors and colonization at local intestinal mucus. Results A great deal of CGC could be observed in the feces of IBS patients and exhibited continuous proliferation characteristics regardless of using or not using antibiotics. And the CGC in feces showed auto-lysis features when the patients suffered from the disease. The monitoring tests demonstrated that the antibiotics often used presently to IBS patients could induce the formation and colonization of intestinal bacterial CGC.Conclusion Based on the experimental and clinical data,we presume that there is a correlation between intestinal bacterial CGC and IBS.
