ABSTRACT
To determine the physical symptoms and ki, ketsu and sui (qi, blood and fluid) factors associated with the presence of hie-sho (chill syndrome). Total 118 healthy university students (66 males and 52 females, median age 22 years, range 21-29) were enrolled. A cross-sectional study about the presence of chill syndrome in participants was performed. Terasawa's ki, ketsu and sui diagnostic score was used to identify the presence of physical symptoms. Number rating scale (NRS) was used to classify the chill and NRS more than 5 was defined as chill syndrome based on Furuya's report. Eighteen students (4 males and 14 females) were documented as chill syndrome. The multivariate analysis of physical symptoms identified female (OR 4.65, p = 0.0427), heavy sensation of head (OR 2.98, p = 0.0190) and chill of extremities (OR 1.94, p = 0.0480) as significantly associated factors with chill syndrome. The score of ki-kyo (qi deficiency), ketsu-kyo (blood deficiency) and suitai (fluid retention) showed higher score in students with chill syndrome compared to students without chill syndrome in univariate analysis. Being female and two indicators of qi abnormalities including heavy sensation of head and chill of extremities were associated with the presence of chill syndrome in university students.
ABSTRACT
Objective:To study the value of small dose sufentanil in anesthesia in caesarean section for prevention of chill and dragging pain. Methods:A total of 84 cases of caesarean section maternal in our hospital were choosen for study as the object. And they were randomly divided into two groups, with 42 cases in each group. The experimental group implements the sufentanil 5μg, control group was given 0.5%ropivacaine. Chills,dragging pain and other adverse reactions were compared. Results:The incidence rate of level 0 chills in experimental group was 80.95%,and it's higher than that 50.00%of control group (P<0.01) . Maternal pull pain incidence rate of experiment group was 14.92%, while the control group was 73.81%(P<0.01) . The other adverse reaction rate in experimental group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.01) . Conclusion:Small doses sufentanil anesthesia for cesarean section can significantly reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions such as pain and chills,safe and effective,it's worthy of clinical popularization and application.

Objective To observe the clilnical effect of treatment of chill by butorphanol after epidural anesthesthia. Methods One hundred patients under going epidural anesthesia , divided into two groups randomly, 50 in butorphanol group(B)were injected intravenously through upper limbs with 0. 04% butorphanol (diluted with normal saline)20 μg/kg; 50 in pethidine group(P) were injected intravenously through upper limbs with 1% pethidine ( diluted with normal saline )0. 75 mg/kg. The speed of the two injection was30 ml/min, after five minutes the patients who were still chilling were injected with midazolam 0. 05 mg/kg. Observe the effect and complications after one minute, three minutes and five minutes. Results After one minute and five minutes the effect of treating chill was no statistically difference ( P ＞ 0. 05 ).However, after three minutes the effect of the butorphanol group was obviously superior to the pethidine group ( P ＜0. 05) ,And the complications of butorphanol group was also less than pethidine group ( P ＜0. 01) . Conclusion Butorphanol display good effect on treating the chill after epidural anesthesia.

Introduction : We evaluated the efficacy of keishito and maobushisaishinto with reference to keikyososooshinbuto, for patients feeling cold, by means of multiple regression analysis.<br>Case reports : We reported a patient with an upset stomach whose severe coldness was improved as the stomach condition was cured by adding keishito to maobushisaishinto. Moreover, the combination of keishito and maobushisaishinto was effective for a patient feeling cold, with appetite loss, general fatigue and stiffness of the joints (case 1), a patient feeling cold, with chill, general fatigue, heavy feeling in the stomach, and prone to catch colds (case 2), and a patient feeling extremely cold, with general fatigue and menstrual pain (case 3).<br>Subjects and Methods : In this study, the subjects were 43 patients who reported feeling cold. They were treated with keishito and maobushisaishinto according to their Sho for more than one month. The relationships between the improvement of cold sensation and 52 other factors, such as symptoms noted at their first medical examination, were evaluated by means of multi-dimensional cross-sectional analysis. <BR>Results : The factors of chilly or unpleasant wind and coldness of the whole body were significant. <BR>Discussion : The factors of coldness in the whole body with chill, and headache without diarrhea were important for improvement of cold feeling with keishito and maobushisaishinto.

A microrregião de Jaboticabal, SP, considerada como marginal para o cultivo do pessegueiro, apresenta vantagens comparativas importantes em relação às principais regiões produtoras do Brasil, como o reduzido risco de geadas, a baixa umidade relativa do ar e o déficit hídrico entre abril e setembro, além da possibilidade de produção precoce (agosto a outubro), o que tem remunerado satisfatoriamente os produtores. Entretanto, os resultados de pesquisa são consistentes apenas para a cultivar "Aurora-1". Visando consolidar esta microrregião como um novo pólo produtor de pêssegos de alta qualidade, o presente trabalho foi realizado no município de Vista Alegre do Alto-SP e teve por objetivo estudar a frutificação, as características físicas de frutos e a produtividade das cultivares "Aurora-1" e "Régis" e das seleções "Jab 484" e "Jab 694". Com as avaliações realizadas no 2° e no 3° ano após o transplantio das mudas (safras de 2005 e 2006), foi possível concluir que: a) a frutificação das cultivares "Régis" e "Aurora-1" e das seleções "Jab 484" e "Jab 694"é satisfatória em condições climáticas normais do município de Vista Alegre do Alto-SP; b) a cultivar "Régis" pode apresentar produção e produtividade equivalentes à "Aurora-1", podendo se tornar opção para produção ultraprecoce com frutos de dupla finalidade, ainda que sejam menores e mais leves em relação à "Aurora-1", "Jab 484" e "Jab 694"; c) as seleções "Jab 484" e "Jab 694" apresentam potencial para o cultivo em Vista Alegre do Alto-SP, por apresentarem frutos com características de dupla finalidade (servem para consumo in natura e para processamento), por serem mais pesados que "Aurora-1", podendo atingir produção e produtividade equivalentes a esta cultivar.
The Jaboticabal Micro-region, located in São Paulo State, Brazil, considered unsuitable for peach tree culture, presents important comparative advantages in relation to other traditional regions producing peach in Brazil, as the reduced frost incidence, low air relative humidity and hidric deficit between April and September, beyond precocious production possibility (August to October), which has remunerated satisfactorily the fruit growers. However, the research results are consistent only to 'Aurora-1' peach. Aiming to consolidate this Micro-region as a new peach production pole of high quality, the present research was conducted in Vista Alegre do Alto, São Paulo State, and had the objective to study the fruiting, physical fruit characteristics and productivity of 'Aurora-1' and 'Régis' cultivar, and 'Jab 484' and 'Jab 694' peach selections. With the evaluations carried through in 2nd and 3rd years after transplant (2005 and 2006 harvests), it was possible to conclude that: a) the fruiting of 'Régis' and 'Aurora-1' cultivars and 'Jab 484' and 'Jab 694' peach selections is satisfactory in normal climatic conditions in Vista Alegre do Alto, São Paulo State, Brazil; b) 'Régis' peach tree presents production and productivity equivalent to 'Aurora-1', becoming an option for ultraprecocious production of double purpose fruits, despite its fruits being smaller and lighter than 'Aurora-1' peach, 'Jab 484' and 'Jab 694' peach selections; c) 'Jab 484' and 'Jab 694' peach selections present potential in Vista Alegre do Alto, São Paulo State, presenting fruits with double purpose characteristics, being heavier than 'Aurora-1' peach, being able to reach production and productivity equivalent to this cultivar.
