ABSTRACT

Scoring methods used in bidding directly affects the bidding results,it is thus of great importance for the scoring methods used in acquisition of Chinese books to assure the academic level of books bought by college and university libraries and improve the efficacy of funds for acquisition of books.A scientific,rational,standardized and practical comprehensive evaluation method for bidding of acquisition of Chinese books was established by analyzing the application of comprehensive evaluation method in 14 college and university libraries of Shandong Province in order to provide reference for bidding of acquisition of Chinese books in college and university libraries.

ABSTRACT

After a description of PDA, a foreign acquisition model of collection development, some measures that should be taken for improving the use of books were put forward according to the concepts of PDA, including estab-lishment of subject acquisition system, rearrangement of library position structure, normalization of reader recom-mendatory acquisition methods, and exploration of innovative PDA model that conforms the condition of China.

ABSTRACT

Mobile reading has greatly impacted the use of printed Chinese books in academic libraries.It is the most important task to introduce the users-needed books in order to improve their utilization.Acquisition of Chinese books should be arranged closely around the need of users by studying the reading features of users under mobile reading environment and establishing the open channels for book recommendation and feedback information in order to improve its quality .
