ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of therapy of tonifying kidney, activating bone-marrow, and unblocking collaterals for patients with chronic aplastic anemia (CAA), and to investigate its effect on thromboelastogram platelet maximum amplitude (Ma) value for exlporing its therapeutic mechanism. Methods Sixty CAA patients were randomized into trial group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was given oral use of Stanozolol and Cyclosporin A, and the trial group was orally given the recipe with the actions of tonifying kidney, activating bone-marrow,and unblocking collaterals, which is mainly composed of Radix Rehmanniae,Radix Rehmanniae Preparata,Caulis Spatholobi,Semen Cuscutae,Fructus Lycii,Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Fructus Ligustri Lucidi, Herba Ecliptae, Pheretima, and Semen Strychni Preparata. The clinical efficacy was evaluated after treatment, and peripheral hemogram and thromboelastogram Ma value of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results (1)The trial group had better western medicine therapeutic effect and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)syndrome therapeutic effect than the control group, the difference being signficant (P < 0.01).(2) After treatment, TCM syndrome scores, parameters of blood routine test, thromboelastogram Ma value of the two groups were improved compared with those before treatment (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01),and the improvement in the trial group was superior to that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Therapy of tonifying kidney, activating bone-marrow, and unblocking collaterals is effective on improving blood coagulation function by increasing the quality and amount of platelet.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To observe the effect on Tangzu Heji on diabetic foot rat with blood stasis syndrome and to investigate the mechanism in it. Methods: Combination of streptozocin injection and reduction of ambient temperature was used to duplicate diabetic foot rat with blood stasis syndrome. 60 Male SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups as normal control group, the low temperature control group, diabetic foot group (model group), three groups of Tangzu Heji treatment with high, medium and low dose respectively. In the first three groups the rats were given normal saline, and in the latter three treatment groups the model rats were given Tangzu Heji as 60gkg, 30g/kg, 15g/kg weight, respectively. After two weeks of treatment, the changes of the weight, water intake, blood glucose, blood rheology, acral gangrene symptoms, Choroid blood vessels of the sublingual and ear, serum vascular endothelial growth factor changes were observed. Results: After two weeks of treatment with Tangzu Heji, compared with the model group, a marked increase in body weight, decrease of water intake were happened to the rats in treatment groups. Erythrocyte aggregation index in the low-dose treatment group decreased significantly (P

ABSTRACT

Kang Wei Granules which can strengthen the spleen, replenish Qi, clear away heat and remove dampness was used to treat 288 cases of correlative gastric disease infected by pyloric helicobacterium. Seventy-four cases were treated with triple therapy (Bismuth being the mainly ingradient) as control group. Results indicated that the treatment group was significantly superior to the control group in improvment of main symptoms, especially for the types of deficiency of spleen and stamach, and internal accumulation of dampnes-heat (P 0. 05). It is suggested that Kang Wei Granules has a better clinical therapeutic effect for treatment of correlative gastric disease infected by pyloric helicobacterium.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe clinical therapeutic effect of Fu Fang Qi Dan Dai Zhu San on sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage. Methods: 56 cases were selected randomly from the 315 cases who had received functional exercise, massage and other rehabilitation treatments. The patient were administrated by Fu Fang Qi Dan Dai Zhu San Decoction for 3 months, which is constituted by Bu Yang Huan Wu Decoction and Fu Fang Dan Shen Tablets, and the therapeutic effect was compared with that of Bu Yang Huan Wu Decoction, Fu Fang Dan Shen Tablets and other clinically commomly - used drugs, respectively. Results: Both the clinically cured rate and the total markedly effective rate in the treatment group of Fu Fang Qi Dan Dai Zhu San were significantly higher than those of the six control groups. Conclusion: Fu Fang Qi Dan Dain Zhu San can obviously increase the therapeutic effect and shorten the therapeutic course, and it is a good prescription for treatment of sequelae of cerebral hemorrhage.

ABSTRACT

Abnormal motion at apex area of heart is a pathological phenomenon and it can be found with ultrasound cardiography and it occurs mainly in the patient of prophase coronary heart disease with difficulty in diagnosis for a short while. Bu Xin Decoction was used with satisfactory results. Treatment based on differentiation of symptoms and signs and treating both the principal and the secondary aspects of the disease can make most patients to improve or eliminate the symptoms and correspondingly improve or cure abnormal motion of apex of the heart, the cured rate plus markedly effective rate being 87%. Bu Xin Decoction can postpone or prevent occurrence of coronary heart disease for the patient of prophase corconary heart disease.

ABSTRACT

In order to approach the mechanisms of Chinese drug Bu Sui Sheng Xue Instant Granules for tonifying kidney inhibiting apoptosis in the patient of chronic aplastic anemia (CAA), levels of soluble Fas (sFas), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-a), interleukin - 2 (IL - 2) before and after treatment were determined in 30 cases of CAA and Zai Zang Sheng Xue Tablet was used as control. Results indicated that expression of serum sFas, TNF - a and IL - 2 before treatment was significantly higher than those of the control group (P0. 05), and the IL-2 level still was higher than the normal (P
