ABSTRACT

The Danggui Yinzi, as one of the classic prescriptions, was first recorded in Yan's Jisheng Prescription and is mainly used to treat various skin diseases with blood deficiency and wind dryness. By referring to ancient books and modern literature researches, this study analyzed and summarized the literature of Danggui Yinzi from the aspects of prescription origin, composition, addition and subtractive changes of flavor, dosage and decocting and taking method, discrimination of prescription and efficacy, raw material and processing of medicinal materials, and modern clinical application. Textual researches explored more than 80 ancient literature and 170 modern literature and showed its content included Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Rehmannia Radix, Tribuli Fructus, Saposhnikoviae Radix, Schizonepetae Spica, Polygoni Multiflora Radix, Astragali Radix, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. It was cooked by water. It was used for the patients with skin diseases and Chinese pattern of blood deficiency wind drying. It has showed a wide range of applications, and similar application in ancient and modern time. This paper provides a more comprehensive reference for the research and development of compound preparation of Danggui Yinzi.

ABSTRACT

Xiaotianxin acupoint is located at the middle root of the palm, in the depression of the junction between the major and minor thenar eminence. Manual operation includes kneading, pinching, pounding, pinching-kneading method, and it has the effect of clearing heat and promoting urination, tranquilizing fringt and mind, brightening vision, dredging meridians, sweating and releasing muscle, clinical indications of infantile convulsions, night crying, hot urine, jaundice, strabismus, low vision. This paper, by reviewing ancient and modern literatures, the positioning, operation methods and clinical application of Xiaotianxin acupoint are combed and analyzed. The mechanism of the acupoint should be explored from two aspects of traditional and modern medicine, in order to understand the acupoint comprehensively and deeply. And it will provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of diseases by Xiaotianxin, and guide the clinical application through theoretical research.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the interest and awareness of traditional Chinese medicine undergraduates on the course of Chinese medical literature, and to provide suggestions for further enhancement of undergraduates' cognition and in-depth study of this subject.@*Methods@#Taking Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine as an example, 726 undergraduates were sampled and randomly sampled by stratified sampling, and the interest and awareness of Chinese medical literature were suveyed and summarized, and the factors that led to this situation were analyzed.@*Results@#A total of 119 (16.4%) knew and took the course, 78 (10.7%) said they often read Chinese medical literature on their own initiative, 455 (62.7%) said that the factors affecting their access to Chinese medical literature were reading difficulties. 410 (56.5%) students suggested that the course of Chinese medical literature should be open as an optional course.@*Conclusions@#The undergraduates have high interest and low awareness of the Chinese medical literature. It is suggested that the school should carry out curriculum reform and organize relevant publicity activities in order to increase the awareness of the undergraduates on the Chinese medical literature.

ABSTRACT

[Objective]To explore the application of the pathogenesis of"weak yang and stringy yin"in the treatment of atherosclerosis. [Methods] Analyze the symptoms and prescriptions of atherosclerosis in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber, and refer to the literatures on the prescriptions. To describe the concept of atherosclerosis from the "virtual" and "real" two aspects of the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis; access to the literature on the anti-cut Guibao White Liquor Soup, Gualou Xiebai Pinellia Decoction, Guizhi Tang, Guizhi Decoction, Ginseng Decoction, Jizhi Amethyst Decoction, Aconitum Red Stone Pills, Rhubarb Pills and Dazhuai Decoction, and other classic prescriptions of the Golden Chamber. [Results] Although there was no disease of atherosclerosis in Chinese medicine, there were many descriptions of its symptoms and etiology and pathogenesis. "The virtual", "standard" were its main pathogenesis,"Golden Chamber"in the proposed"weak yang and stringy yin" theory, and created a large number of prescriptions, such as Gualou Xiebai white liquor soup, Gualou Xiebai Pinellia Soup, Citrus aurantium Decoction Guizhi Decoction, Guizhi Decoction, Ginseng Decoction, Jizhi Feizhi Decoction, Aconitum Red Stone Pills, Rhubarb Pills and Da Chai Hu Tang. According to the literature, "Golden Chamber" in these prescriptions can be used to treat atherosclerosis. [Conclusion] The general theory of the pathogenesis of"chest palsy"and"weak yang and stringy yin"in the Synopsis of the Golden Chamber is the same as the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. According to this pathogenesis Zhongjing created a large number of prescriptions, modern pharmacological studies have shown that they can treat atherosclerosis. Therefore, we can extend "weak yang and stringy yin" of the pathogenesis theory to the treatment of atherosclerosis. This treatment is worthy of our further exploration, for the present use, to be effective.

[Objective] Make textual research on the version origin of Yizong Baojing. [Method] Take the Lingyunlou carving copy of Yizong Baojing in Jiaqing Wuwu year(1798) of Qing Dynasty as the master copy, and lithographic copy of Shanghai Feiying Publishing House in the end of Qing Dynasty as the main checked copy, in the same time, take lithographic copies of Shanghai Wenruilou and Shanghai Jinzhang Publishing House in Minguo Times as reference copies, make careful investigation to many wondering points on version origin of the book, point out the problems and make serious comparison and analysis.[Result]Yizong Baojing was firstly carved in Jiaqing Wuwu year 3(1798) of Qing Dynasty, and published by Lingyunlou, thus came the Lingyunlou carving copy in Jiaqing Wuwu year(1798) of Qing Dynasty; to the end of Qing Dynasty, it was issued lithographical y by Shanghai Feiying Publishing House referring to the primary carving copy, then published by Shanghai Wenruilou, i.e. the lithographic copy of Shanghai Feiying Publishing House. This book is combined by many predecessors'medical books, very possibly from booksel ers or merchant of literature.[Conclusion]The study on the version origin of Yizong Baojing offers basic foundation for offspring's col ecting and studying the book, helpful to ancient TCM books protection and u-tilization, as wel as the development of TCM undertaking.

ABSTRACT

Medline is the most popular method for understanding foreign development of traditional Chinese medicine. However, be-cause of the difference of concept description in traditional and western medicine, incomplete of literature indexing, mapping deficiency of ATM to traditional Chinese medicine concept, it leads to the lack of comprehensive restdts. The paper proposes the fundamental principle for traditional medicine literature retrieval in Medline and analyzes the retrieval ideas and disciplines of single durg, compound, treatment by traditional Chinese medicine.
