ABSTRACT

Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation device is the carrier of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation treatment. In recent years, with the rapid development of new technology and new materials, the development of fumigation device changes with each passing day, and a variety of new products continue to emerge. However, at present, the lack of corresponding evaluation norms, resulting in some difficulties in the registration, marketing, quality control, evaluation scale and other aspects of the product. Some products have many disadvantages in clinical use. From the perspective of technical review, this paper elaborates and analyzes the main concerns in technical review, such as product structure, main risks, performance requirements, clinical evaluation, etc., in order to provide a basis for the design, development, production, registration, use and post-marketing supervision of the devices.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the medication law of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) fumigation and washing to promote postoperative healing of hemorrhoids by data mining technology.Methods:The clinical literature about TCM fumigation and washing to promote postoperative healing of hemorrhoids was retrieved from the databases of CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, PubMed from the establishment of the databases to March 10, 2022. The frequency efficacy attributes, core medicinal pairs and core prescriptions of TCM were analyzed by using the Ancient and Modern Medical Records Cloud Platform (V2.3.5).Results:A total of 299 articles were included, involving 200 kinds of Chinese materia medica. The drugs used at high frequency ≥40 were Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex, Natrii Sulfas, Galla Chinensis and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma and so on. The main efficacy was to clear heat and reduce dampness; cold, warm and slightly cold were the main medicinal properties, and the tastes were mainly bitter, pungent, sweet and sour, and most of the drugs return to the liver meridian, stomach meridian, heart meridian, large intestine meridian and so on. A total of 22 rules were obtained by correlation analysis. Five groups of drugs were obtained by clustering analysis. The core prescription drugs obtained by complex network analysis included Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, Phellodendri Chinensis Cortex, Natrii Sulfas, Galla Chinensis, Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, Taraxaci Herba, Borneolum Syntheticum, Sanguisorbae Radix, Atractylodis Rhizoma, Carthami Flos, Scutellariae Radix, Olibanum, Myrrha, and Lonicerae Japonicae Flos. Conclusion:TCM fumigation and washing can promote the postoperative healing of hemorrhoids mainly by clearing heat and reducing dampness and detoxification, as well as promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, reducing swelling and relieving pain, restraining sore and generating muscle.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the efficacy and security of Chinese Medicine fumigation based on tension balance acupuncture on spasticity after ischemic stroke. Methods From June, 2014 to June, 2017, 258 patients with spasticity after ischemic stroke were assigned into control group (n=130) and observation group (n=128). All the patients received routine rehabilitation and tension bal-ance acupuncture, and the observation group received Chinese Medicine fumigation in addition, for six weeks. They were assessed with modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), modified Barthel In-dex (MBI) and Neurological Deficit Scale (NDS) before, three weeks and six weeks after treatment. The inci-dence of side-effect was recorded. Results There was no significant difference in scores of FMA, MBI and NDS between two groups three weeks after treatment (P>0.05). Six weeks after treatment, the scores of FMA, MBI and NDS improved in both groups (t>7.382, P<0.05), and improved more in the observation group than in the control group (t>4.412, P<0.05), while the clinical efficacy on spasm was also better (χ2=11.121, P=0.001). The side-effect was slight in both groups. Conclusion Combination with Chinese Medicine fumigation can ameliorate the spasticity of upper limb in ischemic stroke patients, to promote the recovery of motor function and activities of daily living.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the clinical effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) fumigation on type ⅢA prostatitis with the symptoms of damp heat and blood stasis.@*METHODS@#We randomly divided 72 cases of type ⅢA prostatitis with the symptoms of damp heat and blood stasis into an experimental and a control group of equal number, the former treated with TCM fumigation plus oral Levofloxacin while the latter with oral Levofloxacin only. After 4 weeks of treatment, we compared the National Institute of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIHCPSI) score, TCM symptoms score, maxinum flow rate (Qmax), and average urinary flow rate (Qave) between the two groups of patients.@*RESULTS@#The total effectiveness rate was significantly higher in the experimental than in the control group (91.7% vs 61.1%, P0.05) or in Qave ([10.9 ± 2.4] vs [11.1 ± 2.9] ml/s, P>0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#TCM fumigation combined with Levofloxacin is an effective therapy for type ⅢA prostatitis with the symptoms of damp heat and blood stasis, which can significantly improve the symptoms, reduce the NIHCPSI score, and increase the Qmax and Qave of the patient.

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with red light therapy on diabetic peripheral neuropathy ( DPN) . Methods:Totally 90 patients with DPN were numbered and divided into three groups accord-ing to the admission time: the control group, the fumigation group, the combined treatment group with 30 ones in each. The three groups were performed blood glucose control to keep blood sugar stable. The control group was given the conventional nerve nutrition drugs, the fumigation group was given traditional Chinese medicine fumigation additionally, and the combined treatment group was giv-en herbal fumigation combined with red light treatment additionally. After the 2-week treatment, the clinical symptom scores and the conduction velocity improvement of motor nerve and sensory nerve were compared among the three groups in order to evaluate the clini-cal efficacy. Results:The clinical symptom scores clinical efficacuy and the conduction velocity improvement of motor nerve and senso-ry nerve in the fumigation group and the combined treatment group were all better than those in the control group with significant differ-ences (P<0. 05), and the clinical symptom scores in the combined treatment group were better than those in the fumigation group (P<0. 05), while as for the clinical total efficay and the nerve conduction velocity, the combined treatment group showed no significant difference with the fumigation group (P>0. 05). Conclusion:Fumigation combined with red light in the treatment of diabetic periph-eral neuropathy shows notable efficacy with improved symptoms and nerve conduction velocity, which is worthy of promotion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of Chinese medicine fumigation bath combined with acupuncture and hemorrhoids on improving the pain edema of elderly patients after anorectal pain.MethodsA total of 168 elderly patients with anorectal surgery were enrolled in our hospital from April 2013 to April 2016.The patients were randomly divided into two groups: the group (n=84) and the conventional treatment group (n=84) N=84).Routine treatment group given conventional Western medicine and potassium permanganate solution bath treatment, fumigation acupuncture group on the basis of conventional Western medicine treatment to give Chinese fumigation bath and acupuncture hemorrhoids treatment, compared the two groups of clinical efficacy, pain, Wound recovery and skin adverse reactions.ResultsThe total effective rate, no pain rate, edema disappearance time and wound healing time were 94.0%, 38.1%, (5.13±1.59) d, (16.47±4.06) d, respectively, compared with those in the conventional treatment group 84.5%, 22.6%, (6.74±1.23) d, (19.38±3.75) d, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).ConclusionChinese medicine fumigation bath combined acupuncture hemorrhoids acupuncture points can improve the local blood circulation, anti-bacterial anti-inflammatory pain, relieve senile patients after anorectal pain edema symptoms, speed up the rehabilitation process.

ABSTRACT

Objective To research the effect of Huang Bai capsules combined with Chinese medicine fumigation on treatment of chronic anal fissure.Methods 84 patients with chronic anal fissure from the second hospital of Shandong from January 2014~June 2016 were divided into two groups randomly.The control group was treated with Nitroglycerin and Lining gel and the observation group was treated with Huang Bai capsules combined with Chinese medicine fumigation.Treatment efficacy,symptom improvement,VAS score,gap healing time,ARP and RRP were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group 95.24%is higher than that in the control group 78.57%(P<0.05).The proportion of bleeding and constipation after treatmen were lower than that before treatment(P<0.05).The proportion of bleeding and constipation in the observation group(9.52%and 11.90%)were lower than those in the control group(28.57%and 33.33%)(P<0.05).③ VAS score and gap healing time in the observation group were(1.18±0.20)points and(14.92±2.05)days,which were better than those in the control group(2.39±0.22)points and(19.16±2.28)days(P<0.05).④ARP and RRP in the observation group were(7.88±0.40)kPa and(2.61±0.31)kPa,which were lower than those in the control group(8.59±0.55)kPa and(3.09±0.45)kPa(P<0.05).Conclusion It can speed up crack healing and improve the effect of patients with anal fissure which Huang Bai capsules combined with Chinese medicine fumigation were used in the treatment.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of compound Chinese medicine fumigation granules on surgical treatment of anorectal disease patients and the impact of postoperative complications and wound healing.Methods 78 cases of patients anorectal surgery from June 2013 to February 2016 in our hospital anorectal were admitted,and were randomly divided into observation group and control group,39 cases in each group,using anti-inflammatory and conventional dressing treatment after operation in both two groups,the observation group was treated with compound Chinese medicine fumigation granules,treatment for 10 days continuous.The changes of wound healing and related clinical symptoms were observed and compared between the two groups.Results Third,7,14 days after operation,VAS scores in observation group were lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Tirst days after operation,there was no significant difference in perianal edema,anal bulge,anal dampness and bleeding symptom score between the observation group and the control group; third,7 days after surgery,the perianal edema,anal bulge,anal wet,bleeding symptom score in observation group were lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05); fifth,14 days after operation,wound patients smoked wash reduction rate in observation group was higher than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05); observation group average wound healing time was(16.3±2.8)days,the control group was(18.4±3.3)days,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion After surgical treatment of anorectal disease,use the compound Chinese medicine fumigation particles for treatment can help relieve the clinical symptoms of patients,reduce pain,promote wound healing.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical effectiveness and safety of Chinese medicine fumigation-washing therapy in treating talipes equinus denervated ulcer induced by tethered cord syndrome(TCS) . Methods A total of 21 qualified patients were randomized into fumigation-washing group (N=12) and antibiotics group (N=9). Patients of fumigation-washing group were given fumigation-washing therapy with the self-prescribed Chinese medicine, and antibiotics group was given intravenous dripping of sensitive antibiotics. The treatment lasted for 7 continuous days. The clinical efficiency of the two groups was evaluated after treatment, and the period of preparing for surgery was recorded. The changes of ulcer area and ulcer surface exudate volume in the two groups were observed before and after treatment. And the changes in blood routine examination, hepatic and renal function, and immune function of the fumigation-washing group were monitored. Results(1) The total effective rate of fumigation-washing group was 83.3%, and that of the antibiotics group was 77.8%, the difference being insignificant (P>0.05). (2) The ulcer area and ulcer surface exudate volume in both groups were significantly decreased after treatment (P 0.05). (5) The average daily hospitalization fee in the fumigation-washing group was (47.98 ± 5.17) yuan, less than (227.88 ± 43.24) yuan in the antibiotics group, and the difference was significant between the two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion Chinese medicine fumigation-washing therapy is effective, safe and practical in treating talipes equinus denervated ulcer induced by TCS, and the therapy has the advantages of decreasing exudation, promoting ulcer healing, reducing hospitalization fee, shortening the period of preparing for surgery, and decreasing the incidence of infection.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the efficacy of Methylene blue compound preparation combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation sitz bath on patients with postoperation pain after anorectal operation.Methods 168 cases with postoperation pain after anorectal operation were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group (both n=84).All patients were treated by Cefpiramide and Tinidazole after operation.On this basis,the patients in the observation group were treated additionally by Methylene blue compound preparation combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation sitz bath.Results The postoperation pain rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (x2 =44.21,P< 0.01),and the NRS score of pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (t=12.2,P<0.05).There was significant difference between two groups in the urinary retention rate (x2=12.92,P<0.01).The disappeared time of pain,the healing time of the wound in the observation group were (5.9± 2.1)d and (19.2 ± 4.8)d,both lower than those in the control group (t=6.25,5.22,P<0.05).Conclusion Methylene blue compound preparation combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation sitz bath on patients with postoperation pain after anorectal operation would relieve the pain.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with narrow-band ultraviolet B and self-made traditional Chinese medicine fumigating.Methods A total of 100 patients with psoriasis vulgaris were randomly recruited into a treatment group and a control group,50 patients in each group.The control group was treated with narrow-band ultraviolet B:on this basis,the treatment group was treated with self-made traditional Chinese medicine fumigating.The therapeutic effeCts of both groups were observed.Results As compared with the control group.the treatment group showed better therapeutic effects(P<0.05).Conclusion It was effective to treat psoriasis vulgaris with narrow-band ultraviolet B combined with self-made traditional Chinese medicine fumigating.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation in treating ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods Sixty patients were divided into fumigation group (30 cases) and non-fumigation group (30 cases), the treatment course was 20 days. The changes of finger pitch, pillow away from the wall, hip flexion, hip extension of the patients and the impact of fumigation on acute inflammation (ESR, CRP) were observed. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to determine serum TNF-? and IL-10 before and after treatment to observe the effect of fumigation treatment on inflammatory cytokine expression. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 90.0% and control group was 83.3%. The efficiency rate of the treatment group was 66.6% and control group was 33.3%. After treatment, finger pitch, pillow away from the wall, hip flexion, hip extension of the treatment group were better than before treatment, the difference was significant.
