ABSTRACT

The gross specimens and tissue slices used for traditional experimental pathology curriculum are fragile, and some specimens or slices are difficult to be supplemented. Besides, the classroom and schedule for experimental pathology teaching are inflexible. Therefore, the teaching effects for experimental pathology course are limited. The development of digital technology has promoted the teaching reform of medical experimental curriculum. We have digitalized the gross specimens and tissue slices to preserve and expand the samples, and constructed pathological sample repository containing both physical samples and digital samples. Furthermore, we have established a platform for remote access, and thus improved the flexibility and autonomy of study for experimental pathology curriculum. Additionally, we have integrated clinical information of the teaching samples, and interpreted the specimens with the assistance of two-dimensional code technology and voice broadcast technology, to realize human-computer interactive learning. The questionnaire shows that the application of pathological sample repository in experimental teaching has improved student learning effect and recognition.

ABSTRACT

Driven by the development of medical technology and the increasing workload of hospitals, high-cost medical consumables are playing an ever more important role. Operating theatres, as the biggest consumer of high-cost consumables, cannot afford to manage the consumables in a detailed manner under the traditional approaches of management. This article elaborates on the complete management of the high-cost consumables with the help of bar code technology. Information management of high-cost consumables has brought about higher work efficiency, streamlined management process, greater medical safety and higher economic viability of hospitals.

ABSTRACT

Aimed at the importance and current situation of hospital medical equipment management, the paper has analyzed the method of application and advantages of two dimension code technology and intelligent terminal in the management of medical equipment. And the two dimension code conversion software, which was developed by using C++ language compiler software and medical equipment management system, could achieve two dimension code information conversion and label production of medical equipment for instruction, maintenance, meterage and scraping and other information. And the intelligent terminal couldbe used to obtain information in real time, and it could combine with the existed one dimensional code to achieve informationization management for medical equipment, and then gradually replace one dimensional code. Through discussed the advantages of two dimension code and compared with the traditional model, the results indicated that this technology could provide a new direction in developmental trends and application prospect, and enhance the management level for dynamic information, and solve the problems of inconvenience in updating information.

ABSTRACT

Objective To improve medical equipment archive management informatization by the involvement of two-dimension code technology.Methods A piece of two-dimension code software was designed and then interfaced with medical equipment management system.Some two-dimension code labels were manufactured for registration,operation,maintenance,repair and metrology of medical equipment,and then stuck at the appointed positions of medical equipment.The two-dimension codes were read out by intelligent terminals such as cell phone,which was combined with one-dimension code for medical equipment management.Results The two-dimension codes produced by the software were updated simultaneously with medical equipment archive,and the intelligent terminals such as cell phone scanned and decoded the acquired information.Conclusion Two-dimension code technology provides new storage medium for medical equipment archive and will replace the existing one-dimension code eventually,and the storage medium is stored at the same place as medical equipment to eliminate the need for manual input.

Objective:To promote the application of barcode technology and establish comprehensive barcode management platform for medical equipment in order to achieve precise management of medical equipment just like ID.Methods: Combined with information management of barcode was effectively applied to the medical equipment asset; analyzed the underlying application of barcode technology in the field of equipment asset management; finally, to clarify the application effect of barcode technology in precise equipment asset management.Results: The application of barcode technology has realized dynamic management for the whole life cycle of medical equipment, and effectively improved management method and efficiency of hospital medical equipment asset.Conclusion:Through informatization to support precise management for medical equipment, and this method can form more scientific and technological barcode technology management mode for medical equipment asset. This mode can reduce the workload and difficulty for routine equipment asset management, enhance the precise management level for equipment asset, and provide a powerful technical guarantee for the reasonable and effective integration of hospital equipment assets.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the mode and feasibility of informatization and automation construction in the inpatient pharmacy. METHODS:The practice of informatization and automation construction of inpatient pharmacy in our hospital was intro-duced,as well as the change of drug dispensing model. The influence of them on drug dispensing process was analyzed. RESULTS&CONCLUSIONS:2 automatic single dose tablets dispense packing machines,2 rapid dispensing machines and 2 automatic injec-tion chests are introduced in automatic inpatient pharmacy of our hospital. The informatization construction contain the establish-ment of inpatient pharmacy database,drug dispensing and recheck,the application of code,etc. Due to the implementation of auto-matic drug dispensing information system,drug dispensing mode have changed,i.g. drug dispensing by area instead of wards;in-jection and large volume transfusion are dispensed by wards;oral preparation and discharge medication are dispensed by prescrip-tion;dispensed drugs are distributed to wards with professional logistics. The implementation of informatization and automation of inpatient pharmacy in our hospital improve pharmaceutical administration and pharmaceutical care,and add automatic expiry date management and code tracking to guarantee the accuracy,timeliness and high efficiency of drug dispensing.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To promote automated dispensing and rational drug use in the inpatient dispensary by applying information technology.METHODS: Powerbuilder9.0 development software and bar code technology were used to build a new drug unit dose automated dispensing system based on hospital information system.RESULTS: Two sub-system programs including clinical prescription screening and transmitting function were developed,and the rational drug use examination and reporting system was build up,which enhanced the efficiency of clinical dispensing,facilitated the accurate management of the drug stock amount in the medicine box of the machine.CONCLUSIONS: To develop software by taking consideration of the developmental trend of pharmacy can better meet the demand and adapt to the changing work flow in drug dispensing.

OBJECTIVE: To reduce medication errors by using bar code technology.METHODS: By searching the relevant literature about the bar code technology in preventing medication errors,this article systematically introduced the concepts of bar code technology,the FDA's bar code rules and the effect of it in reducing medication errors,as well as the current use of it by providing the relative data,examples and cases.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: Bar code technology can effectively reduce the incidence of medication errors.
