ABSTRACT

@#Objective To apply the Comprehensive Function Assessment for Disabled Children in family care for children with cerebral palsy. Methods From May, 2014 to May, 2015, 120 cerebral palsy children were equally divided into control group and observation group. The control group accepted routine rehabilitation, and the observation group accepted targeted family rehabilitation program based on the evaluation of Comprehensive Function Assessment for Disabled Children. They were assessed with Comprehensive Function Assessment for Disabled Children before and three months after rehabilitation. Results The scores of cognitive function, language function, exercise abil-ity, self-care movement and social adaptation ability improved in both groups after rehabilitation (t>2.498, P<0.05), and improved more in the observation group than in the control group (t>2.062, P<0.05). Conclusion The application of Comprehensive Function Assessment for Disabled Children may help to plan a targeted rehabilitation nursing program for the nurses and the parents, that benefits the rehabilitation for children with cerebral palsy.

ABSTRACT

objective To investigate the multiple early variables that influenced the 6th months prognosis of comprehensive function in patients with stroke. Methods Two hundreds and eleven patients of primary cerebral infarction and primary cerebral hemorrhage in Shanghai were divided into treated group and controlled group randomly.Patients in the treated group were given standardized tertiary rehabilitation, while those in the controlled group received normal internal medicine treatments but without standardized tertiary rehabilitation.Twenty seven early variables were collected with regard to the patients'medical history, physical examination, scores with CNFD,S-FMA and MBI at the time of enrollment. The patients'FCA scores at the ends of the 6th months after stroke were used as the comprehensive functional outcome.Stepwise multiple regression analysis applied to analyze the data. Results Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that therapeutic regimen,CNFD scores, age, diabetes mellitus,SFMA scores, smoking and labour intensity predicted comprehensive functional outcome at the ends of the 6th months after stroke. Conclusion Certain early variables predict the long-term comprehensive functional prognosis of stroke patients.Therapeutic regimen,CNFD scores and age were significant predictors.

ABSTRACT

Objective To examine the reliability, validity and sensitivity of FCA for stroke patients. Methods A total of 82 patients with stroke were divided into a treatment group and a control group randomly. The patients in the control group were given routine internal medicine treatment, while those in the treatment group were given standardized rehabilitation therapy in addition to the routine internal medicine treatment. All patients were as- sessed with FCA and Modified Barthel Index(MBI),at admission and the end of the 1st month,3rd and 6th month, respectively after the onset of stroke. The internal consistency,split-half reliability, content validity,crite- ria validity and sensitivity of FCA were tested.Repeat measure ANOVA and correlation analysis were used in the statistical analysis. Results There existed a good internal consistency(Cronbach?=0.901~0.973)as well as a good split-half reliability(R=0.949~0.981)of FCA.There was a medium to strong correlation among the 18 items scores of the FCA and FCA scores(P

ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo report the intra-observer agreement study of Comprehensive Function Evaluation for Disabled Children. Methods84 disabled children in-patients were tested twice between 7-14 days by specialist. Every form was checked and accepted.ResultsThere is a significant relation between two evaluation(r=0.997,P<0.01).Conclusions There is a substantial intra-observer agreement and high reliability in Comprehensive Function Evaluation for Disable Children.

ABSTRACT

@# ObjectiveTo determine the normal values of the Comprehensive Function Assessment for Disabled Children. Methods60 healthy children ranged from 2 to 7 years old were evaluated with by the professional doctors. ResultsThe children ranged from 4 to 7 years old get scores above 90. The children ranged from 3 to 4 years old get scores above 80.The children ranged from 2 to 3 years old get scores above 60. Conclusions The Comprehensive Function Assessment for Disabled Children can evaluate the childrens develop ment entirely, detailedly and objectively. The normal values can be used to evaluate the children's function and the curative effect.
