ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the grid management strategy of medical alliances in Rizhao city, Shandong province, and to provide references for improvement of this policy. Methods:In August 2020, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 31 managers of three medical alliances in Rizhao city, regarding the objectives, specific measures, problems and influencing factors of the grid layout of the medical alliances. The grounded theory was used to sort out the interview data, along with the Mazmanian-Sabatier model for further analysis. Results:The analysis resulted in 8 main categories and 19 sub-categories, including theoretical and technical support, target group characteristics, policy causality theory, current status of policy directives, inter-agency relations, socioeconomic conditions and technology, public attitudes, and media campaigns. On this basis, a theoretical framework for the implementation of the grid layout of medical alliance was formed based on the Mazmanian-Sabatier model. Conclusions:The socio-economic conditions and technologies for implementing the grid-based management of medical alliances in Rizhao city were relatively mature, enjoying strong public support and good social response. But on the other hand, there were still such problems as unclear policies, imperfect mechanisms for synergy of interests among different subjects, and incomplete supporting policies. In the future, it is expected to form a policy implementation synergy, introduce supporting policies and strengthen primary teams building, in order to ensure the orderly promotion and long-term implementation of the policy.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of medical practical training with a multi-level comprehensive model. Methods:We randomly selected 100 medical undergraduates who received practical training in The Affiliated Huai'an No.1 People's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from 2017 to 2019, 20 medical education experts, and 30 teachers for a questionnaire survey using self-designed questionnaire with 3 first-level items, 8 second-level items, and 31 third-level items. Data processing and analysis was made by multi-level comprehensive model. Results:The comprehensive evaluation data (0.176 4, 0.512 3, 0.252 5, 0.058 8) obtained by the multi-level comprehensive model showed that the proportions of medical undergraduates achieving excellent, good, moderate, and poor effects of medical practical training were 17.64%, 51.23%, 25.25%, and 5.88% respectively. According to the principle of maximum membership, the final comprehensive evaluation result of the effectiveness of medical practical training was "good".Conclusion:This research has demonstrated the scientificity and feasibility of using the proposed multi-level comprehensive model to evaluate the effectiveness of medical practical teaching. In the comprehensive evaluation, the quantitative processing of qualitative indices can generate the matching score of each index in the multi-level index system. The evaluation results are intuitive and easy to analyze, thus providing the basis for the targeted improvement of medical practical teaching effect.

ABSTRACT

Authors suggest efforts are needed to further explore the usefulness and utilization of psychoeducation at the community and professional levels as applied to various settings and populations. In addition, if developed and implemented carefully, psychoeducational interventions have promising application on other life challenges across levels of the public health, social, and educational systems. This quasiexperimental three group pre-test post-test study aims to investigate the effect of psychoeducation on the self-esteem and self-efficacy of college students. A total of 105 college students (35 subjects per group) who were enrolled at Saint Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines were included as sample. Sampling technique was purposive. The Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale and Schwarzer's General Selfefficacy Scale were used as data gathering tools. A self-made psychoeducational module that was validated by experts in mental health and psychiatric nursing was utilized as intervention. SPSS version 20 was used for the statistical analysis. The results on the post-test scores of both treatment arms (informational and comprehensive model) were significantly higher compared to control group after eight sessions of psychoeducation. The researchers therefore conclude that both psychoeducation models (informational and comprehensive) showed evidence of effectiveness in increasing the self-esteem and self-efficacy levels of college students.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this research was to know the immigration situation of South American women in the region of Antofagasta (Chile) and build a theoretical model for analysis. The study participants were 19 women between 18 and 50 years old, living in the Antofagasta city and from Peru, Bolivia and Colombia. The main findings suggested a dynamic model, which stresses the social and gender identity of women immigrants to the search for coherence in their life spaces. Furthermore, we noted in the interaction with the host society, the imposition of new social categories in exchange for assimilation and integration supported by uprooting. However, we also perceived in different dimensions, spaces of resistance to the rules of the host.
