ABSTRACT

The great anti-epidemic spirit is the brightest spiritual symbol of the anti-epidemic struggle and the inheritance and development of the spirit of patriotism, collectivism and socialism. Under the context of normalized epidemic prevention and control, it is necessary to give full play to the leading role of the great anti-epidemic spirit and explore the new mode of innovation and entrepreneurship education of "ideological and creative integration" in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) universities. Summarized the educational value of anti-epidemic spirit, boost TCM universities to realize cultural education and promote TCM cultural inheritance and innovation; analyzed the difficulties existing in the process of "ideological and creative integration" in TCM universities, and provide accurate direction for optimizing the path of "ideological and creative integration" in TCM universities. To explore the multiple paths of "ideological and creative integration" in TCM universities requires multi-party cooperation, joint management, accelerating the optimization of "ideological and creative integration", and establishing a hierarchical "ideological and creative integration" system, so as to provide new ideas for us to implement the educational goal of "establishing moral integrity in cultivation" under the background of normalized epidemic prevention and control.

ABSTRACT

This narrative review explores the intricate relationship between migraines and art, tracing historical examples and contemporary interpretations of how migraines, especially those with a visual aura, have influenced artists. Highlights how migraines may have shaped artistic inspiration, delving into notable, questionably migraine-infected figures such as Hildegard of Bingen, Giorgio de Chirico, Pablo Picasso, and Salvador Dali, examining how their experiences may have influenced their works. Furthermore, it addresses the emergence of 'migraine art' sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry, presenting the intersection between art, neuroscience, and public engagement. The diagnostic complexity and differentiation of migraines from epilepsy are also discussed, with a special focus on the symptoms of the visual aura and how this has been portrayed through various artistic representations, thus inviting further exploration of the relationship between neurological conditions and creative expression.

ABSTRACT

Background: High-ability students require effective educational strategies. This study introduces and evaluates a curriculum enrichment programme aimed at enhancing cre ativity. The programme is based on a competency framework and was implemented using variations of Project-Based Learning (PBL) strategies. Method: A quasi-experimental design compared two interventions using pre-test and post-test groups. The first intervention (N = 38) involved a 12-week PBL unit focused on designing a video game using block-based program ming through Scratch. The second intervention (N = 51), also lasting 12 weeks, comprised three separate projects involving vectorial design and programming of an Arduino-based ro bot. Both interventions used strategies for creative-thinking development. The sample includ ed high-ability students from 8 to 12 years of age. Results: Both interventions significantly increased creativity, with no statistical differences between them. This suggests that both types of PBL interventions effectively improved participants' creativity. Conclusions: This study suggests that PBL-based curricular enrichment programmes are effective in fostering creativity among high-ability students.

ABSTRACT

Background: One of the major challenges for pharmacology teachers is how to capture students’ interests and engage them in the subject, to create an engaging and enjoyable learning process. “Creative study guide posters” is one such novel educational tool that can help achieve these goals. Aims and Objectives: The authors tried to recreate visual artwork in the subject of pharmacology to engage students and at the same time make learning easy and fun-filled. Materials and Methods: In this study, 2nd year medical students participated and prepared creative study guide posters on antimicrobials and microbes in the form of two armies. On the one hand, antimicrobial drugs depicted the good army, consisting of the name of the drug, drug group, and mechanism of action, while on the other hand, the microorganisms depicted the evil army, consisting of the names of the common microbes, representing the battle of Kurukshetra as in the Indian epic of Mahabharata. Results: The majority of the students found this model interesting and useful for revising antimicrobials. About 82.3% of students agreed that their concepts of antimicrobials improved after this activity. About 86.46% of students believed that this model would foster interactive learning. Only 65.63% of students felt that the traditional methods of revising topics were better than this activity. Conclusion: Creative instruction encourages students to think independently, paricipate actively, and express themselves freely. Creative study guide poster activities help with better student engagement, reinforcing concepts, and better retention than just passing information passively in classrooms.

ABSTRACT

The author reviews the concept of narcissism in psychoanalysis contrasting it with Jung's concept of individuation. Starting with the myth of Echo and Narcissus following C. Byington's description of creative and defensive structuring functions, the author describes the narcissismechoism polarity in a similar way. She interprets the myth of Echo and Narcissus from normality to the psychotic reaction of their personalities, within the creative-defensive inter-relationship of the narcissism-echoism polarity. She concludes by quoting Jung to emphasize the importance of the ego-other relationship in the individuation process.

Abstract In 2019, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognized the capital of the Brazilian state of Ceará, Fortaleza, as a creative city of design. Since then, Fortaleza has been working to organize a Creative District between the spaces of two contiguous neighborhoods. On the urban margins surrounding these spaces is located the Poço da Draga community, which has been organizing a set of actions in favor of the creative economy. This study proposes a discussion about the creative economy as a practice, shedding light on alternative critical perspectives for analyzing public policies related to the organization of creative districts in cities of the global south. The concept of "practice of space" was considered as walking rhetoric, a way of being and doing for those living in the city. The objective was to discuss how the creative economy can act as a practice of space. The qualitative and exploratory methodology involved bibliographical and documentary surveys, complemented by interviews and observation procedures in the spaces under study. The analysis was based on the thematic examination of the identified practices of space, considering the research objective. The main results showed a set of practices of space, emancipatory and resistance permeated by creativity, put into action by the inhabitants of Poço da Draga. It is suggested that public policies for creative cities in the global south consider the potential "doings" of their inhabitants, aiming at organizing practices in marginalized urban spaces.

ABSTRACT

Starting from the essay "A Chapter on Dreams" by the Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson, the article analyses the thoughts of the author about dreams and the creative literary process and weaves correlations between Stevenson's ideas and Jung's ideas about the work with dreams, psyche, and creativity. The relationship of conscience with dream life, reflections on the duality of conscience, identity, and its creative literary process are themes addressed by Stevenson in the aforementioned essay. These are precursor ideas of comprehension about dreams and the creative process and are similar to conceptions later developed by Jung about creative autonomous complexes of the psyche, creativity, and work with dreams. In this interlace of literary and psychological perspectives, having the Jungian theory as a reference, I intend to make clear the approximations that the Jungian method of comprehension and work with the psyche have with the creative writing process described by Stevenson.

The two groups were compared with each other in terms of the examination scores (theoretical and practical operation), each dimensional scores and the total score of the Chinese version of the Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CTDI-CV) before and after teaching, clinical quality and teaching satisfaction. SPSS 22.0 was used for t test, chi-square test and Z test. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in the scores of theoretical knowledge and operational skills between the two groups before the regular training. After the training, the scores of theoretical knowledge and operational skills of the observation group were both higher than those of the control group [(93.42±4.21) vs. (86.58±5.32), (92.81±4.39) vs. (87.96±5.89), ( P<0.05)]. There was no significant difference between the scores of all dimensions of the CTDI-CV and the total scores of the two groups before the training ( P>0.05). After the training, the scores of the two groups were both improved, and the improvement of the observation group was more significant ( P<0.05). After the training, the scores of the doctors in the observation group on expression and communication ability, humanistic care and literacy, inductive analysis ability, clinical work adaptability, contingency handling ability, hands-on ability, and autonomous learning ability were significantly higher than those of doctors in the control group ( P<0.05). After the training, the total satisfaction of the doctors in the observation group was higher than that in the control group [97.44% (38/39) vs. 81.08% (30/37)], and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of creative mind mapping combined with PBL in the teaching of standardized residency training of oncologists can significantly improve the learning effect of the training doctors, improve their critical thinking ability and clinical comprehensive ability, and can also improve their total satisfaction with teaching.

ABSTRACT

As a strategic emerging industry of China, the biotechnology industry develops rapidly in recent years, which significantly increased the demand for creative and capable talents. As a core curriculum of bioengineering specialty, biotechnology equipment plays an important role in fostering such talents. To address the problems in biotechnology equipment course teaching such as limited equipment availability, limited engineering practice, and lack of learning motivations, curriculum reform and optimization were performed based on curriculum resource development, virtual reality-physical combined engineering training, and boosting learning motivations. The optimized teaching contents focus on fostering morality, intelligence, and creative practice abilities by connecting new requirements of social development, introducing new progress in biotechnology research, as well as new practices in research and development (R & D). Measures such as teaching methods innovation, assessment and evaluation methods optimization, cutting-edge R & D progress, diverse resources integration, and online-offline combined teaching, were developed to boost the learning motivation and foster the innovation competence of students. By above exploration and practice, the practice and innovation competence of students were significantly enhanced.

ABSTRACT

New technologies and automation make transformation in the working world, going from material labor to immaterial labor. In this context, workplace, work time and leisure lose its boundaries, making a hybridization, in which creative territories make an important role. Creative Territories are innovative spaces, in which there is a shared way of thinking, feeling, acting by people, institutions and companies. In this context, creative territories in leisure, in its manifestation of tourism, sport and arts, contributes to territory dynamic, providing time and space to human development socially and economically. Therefore, tourism make a possibility to experiential education, which surpasses the expectation from tourism of seeing to tourism of living, as well as, from education of learning to education of sharing. Sharing experiences, cultures and knowledge in times where travel strengthens creativity, sociocultural relationships and new ways of making education.
