ABSTRACT

Objective To develop a war wound database that is capable of data acquisition , audit, storage, query and statistical analysis, and can be used to record wounds, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes. Methods Based on requirement analysis and database design , the basic structure and function of this database system were determined before we developed this database system by Java on Oracle 11g.Results The database had eight data modules , including basic information , wounded information , wound conditions , first aid and treatment information , medication information , surgical information , medical evacuation , and operational background .The database management system ( DBMS ) was established , and the functions were ensured .Conclusion The records of war wound in the databases are highly continuous , timely, and standardized .They can adapt to the language of medical support research and war wound treatment research .

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a basic information database of hospital medical records management and improve the management process. Methods The system was developed with C# programming language, basic information from Oracle 10g databases of HIS and electronic medical record system (EMRS),which stored corresponding information during the process into SQL 2005 database and generated early warning information based on statistical analysis on medical records. Results The system realized standardized filing of medical records, synchronized filing of electronic medical record and the first page of medical record, normalized lending of medical record, auto generation of statistical reports, auto alarming in case of standard-exceeded information and etc, which could be used as a platform for medical record management. Conclusion The system enhances the efficiency and management of medical record section, and thus is worthy promoting practically.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze 85 cases of small bowel stromal tumor with follow-up results, and compare the clinical factors on the prognosis of disease. Methods Getting started from clinical records,a specific database was designed and clinical data concerning patient demographics, clinical findings, lab results, radiology reports, endoscopy reports, perioperative parameters, pathology reports and follow-up notes were input into the database. The influences of clinical factors on prognosis were compared by inquiring about the database. Results It was revealed through follow up that the maximal tumor diameter(relative risk,1.7) and tumor surface ulceration(relative risk,6.0) were two independent prognostic factors closely related to the survival(P

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze and design database on ship medicinal materials and equipment management information system. Methods According to the principle and requirement of information engineering methodology, the operation requirement and data requirement were analyzed, and the database was designed including its concept, logic and physics models. Results The design and method of the database were proposed. Conclusion A basic data platform is established on ship medicinal materials and equipment information collection, storage, transmission, exchange and utilization.

ABSTRACT

Hospitals are increasingly concerned with the construction of computer-based medical order communication system (MOCS), despite the fact that they are financially being pressed. With limited budget, management in hospitals ought to be pursuing both methodologically effective and technically sound way of constructing MOCS. This paper intends to contribute itself toward better design of database for MOCS with reference to a university hospital. Some structural characteristics pertaining to MOCS are identified in ways of systems approach. Based on those findings, construction methodologies are reviewed and put forward with flexibility to differing requirements of hospitals. Suggestions include the followings. (1) Designing step has to be distinguished among conceptual, logical, and physical design while prototyping for user interface is utilized only for the logical design. (2) Many modeling tools including entity life cycle diagram can be effective for system integration with other units. (3) 3 different types of distributed database servers are recommended.
