ABSTRACT

Background: Cooling of body after death is also known asAlgor Mortis. Now a days recording of temperature of a deadbodies has its medico-legal importance in connection withdetermination of time since death. It is variable and dependsupon various factor including the atmospheric temperature of aparticular region.Aim & Objective: The main objective of this objective was torecord the fall of temp in dead body as supportive data fordetermination of time since death at Patna (Bihar). Materials &Methods: The present study was conducted on 140 deadbodies brought for post-mortem examination at IGIMS, Patnafrom September 2016 to March 2018 after clearance of ethicalcommittee. Results: Between 3 to 6 hours after death, temperatures wererecorded by 96.6˚F to 95.6˚F in 37.50% of cases and in28.12% cases by 95.6˚F to 94.6˚ F and in 34.37% cases by94.6˚F to 92.6˚F. In the cases examined during 24 hours to 36hours after death rectal temperatures were found to be loweredby 78.6˚F to 74.6˚F in 0.08% cases, and in 91.66% casesbodies were found to be cooled to environmental temperature. Conclusion: The most important responsibility of the doctorsperforming post mortem examination to answer this point asprecisely and accurately as possible. It is manifestly impossibleto say the exact moment of death but a near approximationmay be reached by closely recording of rectal temperatureevery half hourly for three hours

ABSTRACT

Dead body science has tried to clarify the functional-morphological evolution of the mammals including the human. It fundamentally consists of the unrestricted collection of the dead bodies of the vertebrates, for example, from the zoos, aquaria, and from hunters. We show the results of the three-dimensional analysis about the manipulation mechanism in the giant panda, the enlarged eye and orbit in the Baikal seal, and the mastication system in the giant anteater. The findings actually contribute to the comparative functional-morphology of various mammals, and in the future the stored specimens after the dissection in natural history museum will continue to serve as an evidence of the evolutionary history of form and function in mammals.

ABSTRACT

The unlucky deceased was a American who checked in to a star hotel in Hyderabad along with his colleagues on a company assignment. When his colleagues called him, at 11-30 am for a shopping spree, he has told them that he has back-ache and wants to take rest in his room. At about 2-30 pm again, when they contacted him on phone, no response came, at about 5-00 pm again as there was no response, with a master key the door was opened and the dead body of the deceased found on the carpet besides a long sofa with a metal beeding in a prone position with right hand under the chest and the left upper limb parallel to the body, with a disconnected cable of laptop nearer to his head which was still in switched on position. A dimmer light with a long pedestal was found beside the body with bulb towards head and base towards the feet. There was a plug point at floor level near the head of the deceased, with a insitu adapter, as the pin of the laptop cannot be inserted, directly in to it. The adaptor was loosely hanging in the socket of the plug.

ABSTRACT

When a pedestrian was hit by bumper and runover by tire of car, tire impression marks or damaged skin and fractured born marks were remained on dead body. Namely, to obtain the best result for analysis of traffic accident involved damaged human body, it must be considered both the analysis of autopsy and the analysis of traffic accident reconstruction. As these kinds of cases were managed to solve when one part of analysis was not for sure but some cases were missing because we have any regulated system to comply the results of both parts. This case is as follows, As soon as the child run across the street, the automobile was passing by and he went into between front tire and read tire and he was runover by rear tire and he died. Unfortunately this case was treated by police as the child was fault. However we studied this case both the analysis of tire impression and damaged mark of dead body and the aspect of traffic accident reconstruction. Finally, we found out the fact that the car hit the child and runover front and rear tire of the car. This case is valuable because we could find the truth that the child was not fault. Like this manner, here we would like to suggest a system or any kinds of organization should be considered so that the two forensic parts can be analyze together.
