ABSTRACT
Staphylococcus aureus (SAU) is one of the most common pathogens in nosocomial infections, and it often appears in the nasal vestibule, and the antibiotics resistance problemshas become more and more serious.Asymptomaticcolonization with SAU is a high risk factor that causes nosocomial infections, and it′s also the most easily neglected infection prevention and control links in clinical care. With the in-depth understanding of the colonization of the bacteria, the related epidemiological and decolonization nursing reports are gradually increasing. This review summarizes the clinically relevant aspects of nasal carriage of S. aureus, the relationship between colonization and nosocomial infection,and the nursing of decolonization. Which may provide guidance for prevention of nosocomial infections.
