Saúde bucal do trabalhador brasileiro no Japão / Oral health of the Brazilian worker in Japan

Este estudo objetiva esclarecer o cenário das migrações laborais rumo ao Japão no qual muitos brasileiros têm se inserido nos últimos anos, e seus possíveis efeitos sobre a saúde bucal. A metodologia utilizada foi a busca não exaustiva na literatura especializada e não foram encontrados estudos específicos sobre o tema. Foram levantados estudos que contemplam o universo das migrações internacionais, sua relação com a saúde, sem menosprezar a origem brasileira desses trabalhadores, mas traçando paralelos com as pesquisas em outros países e principalmente no Japão. Concluiu-se que as condições precárias de vida e de trabalho produzem impactos sobre a saúde geral dos trabalhadores e seus dependentes, dos quais muitos fatores interferem na saúde bucal também, levantando questionamentos sobre a sua situação e seus efeitos futuros.

This study aims to clarify the scenario of labour migrations toward Japan in which many Brazilians has entered in recent years, and its possible effects on oral health. The methodology used was non-exhaustive search in specialized literature and specific studies were not found on the topic. Studies had been raised that contemplate the universe of international migration, its relation to health, without belittling the Brazilian origin of these workers, but drawing parallels with the research in other countries and especially in Japan. It was concluded that the precarious conditions of life and work produce impacts on general health of workers and their dependents, of which many factors interfere with oral health too, raising questions about their situation and their future effects.

O papel da Odontologia do Trabalho na saúde do trabalhador / The role of Dentistry at Work on worker's health

Com o intuito de discutir a importância da inserção da Odontologia do Trabalho no ambiente laboral das empresas foi realizado um levantamento da história dessa especialidade articulada aos cuidados necessários que a classe trabalhadora exprime no tocante à prevenção e promoção da saúde nos diversos tipos de ambientes laborais, nos quais os trabalhadores se inserem, objetivando qualificar e quantificar as doenças ocupacionais que mais acometem os funcionários nelas inseridos. Concluiu-se que a Odontologia do Trabalho deve propiciar proteção ao trabalhador contra quaisquer riscos à sua saúde decorrentes da atividade laborativa ou devido a condições nas quais é realizada, principalmente, através do incentivo do uso dos equipamentos de proteção individual.

In order to discuss the importance of Dentistry at Work insertion in the working environment of companies was conducted a survey of the history of this specialty articulated the necessary attention to the working class expresses with regard to prevention and health promotion in various types of work environments, in which workers fall, aiming to qualify and quantify the occupational diseases that most affect employees in them inserted. It was concluded that Dentistry at Work should provide protection to workers against risks to their health arising from labor activity or due to conditions under which it is performed, especially by encouraging the use of individual protection equipment.

Integração entre Medicina, Enfermagem e Odontologia do Trabalho: uma conquista para a população / Integration between Medicine, Nursing and Dentistry Work: a conquest for population

Programas baseados na Promoção de Saúde com uma visão holística do indivíduo têm sido incentivados nos Serviços de Saúde. Portanto, a integração entre a Medicina, Enfermagem e Odontologia está sendo valorizada, permitindo um tratamento respeitoso da população, correlacionando lesões bucais com sinais e sintomas sistêmicos, verificando lesões bucais ou corporais relacionadas com o ambiente de trabalho ou com as condições do ambiente em que vivem. Este trabalho ressaltou a importância e a possibilidade desta integração profissional e quanto o Dentista do Trabalho pode e deve interagir com a equipe ocupacional para cuidar da saúde do trabalhador. Concluímos que é necessário treinar a equipe multidisciplinar para tratar cada tipo de população, fazendo um diagnóstico correto, direcionando um tratamento único e eficaz.

Health Promotion-based programs with a holistic view of the individual have been encouraged in health services. Therefore, the integration between medicine, nursing and dentistry is being valued, allowing a respectful treatment of the population, correlating oral lesions with systemic signs and symptoms or mouth injuries and bodily harm with their working environment or with the conditions of the environment where they live. This work highlighted the importance and possibility of professional integration and how much the dentist at work can and should interact with the occupational team to take care of workers' health. We conclude that it is necessary to train the multidisciplinary team to address each type of population, making a correct diagnosis, directing a single and effective treatment.
