ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To compare the distribution regularity of the pressure-sensitive acupoints in patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis (CNAG) and healthy subjects, so as to provide suitable acupoint combinations for clinical treatment. METHODS: A total of 120 volunteer subjects including 60 CNAG patients (29 men and 31 women, (40.7±10.3) years at the average age) and 60 healthy subjects (28 men and 32 women, and (40.8±10.2) years at the average age) were enrolled in the present study. The pressure-sensitive acupoints were checked by a fixed operator using his finger pulp along the body trunk and the four limbs and marked on a prepared human dermatome graph. The number of pressing sensitive acupoints were counted, and the relationship between the distribution of the detected sensitive acupoints and the position of meridians and nerve segments was analyzed. RESULTS: The incidence of pressure-sensitive acupoint in CNAG patients and healthy subjects were 86.7% and 15.0%, respectively. In 60 CNAG patients, the most frequently met sensitive acupoints were Xuehai (SP10), Zhongwan (CV13), and Zhongting (CV17) in sequence, mainly covering the Conception Vessel, Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin (SP), and the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming (ST). The sensitive acupoints presented a nerve-segmental distribution within T7-T10 and L3-L5. CONCLUSION: The pressure-sensitive acupoints present a nerve-segmental distribution and have a higher corresponding rate with some meridians related to the stomach, especially under diseased conditions.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore basic regularities in sinew lesion distribution in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Method Two hundred and thirty knee osteoarthritis patients with 253 affected knees were selected. Under the sinew theory, the positions and frequency of sinew foci around the knee joint were counted by palpation. Result In the distribution of foci, the total frequency accounted for 39.1% in the Foot-Yangming. Of them, the single Foot-Yangming sinew type accounted for 23.3% and the complex type accounted for 48.5%. The total frequency accounted for 32.4% in the Foot-Taiyang. Of them, the single Foot-Taiyang sinew type accounted for 21.3%, the complex type accounted for 44.5%. The Foot-Yangming + Foot-Taiyang sinew lesions accounted for 14.6% and the single foot-three-yin sinew type accounted for 15.0%. Conclusion Knee osteoarthritis of Foot-Yangming or Foot-Taiyang sinew type should be treated from “sinew”.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the distribution regularity of the clinical critical value in the plateau region by analyzing the clinical critical value distribution situation in order to provide the scientific basis for further perfect the critical value report system. Methods The critical value items reported by our department from July 1,2010 to June 30,2011 were retrospectively analyzed for studying its distribution regularity. Results The incidence rate of critical values report in our hospital was 0.29%,the incidence rate of critical value such as blood potassium, glucose and blood gas pH had no difference in distribution between genders in Xining region(P >0.05),but had significantly difference among different age groups(P <0.05).In addition, the report number of the criti-cal value of the blood potassium, glucose and blood gas pH in the internal medicine was significantly higher than that in the surgical departments(P <0.01).Conclusion The periodic retrospective analysis of critical value report helps to improve the clinical diagno-sis and the reporting system of critical value.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the distribution regularity of TCM syndromes of respiratory failure of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) for the standardization research on TCM syndromes. Methods Literatures on respiratory failure of COPD of the latest 15 years were collected from the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Academic Periodical Full-text Database and China TCM Document Retrieval System Database. The name of the disease was filtered and standardized. The database was established. The formation and distribution regularity of TCM syndromes of respiratory failure of COPD were calculated and analyzed. Results The common syndromes of respiratory failure of COPD were excess in Biao-symptom, such as accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis, phlegm-heat obstructing the lung, accumulation of phlegm-turbidity in the lung, and phlegm misting the brain, and most cases were accompanied with blood stasis. The deficiency syndromes, commonly qi deficiency of the lung and kidney, were complicated in nature of disease and zangfu attribution. Conclusion The accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis, phlegm-heat obstructing the lung, accumulation of phlegm-turbidity in the lung, and phlegm misting the brain are the basic syndromes of respiratory failure of COPD, and most cases are accompanied with blood stasis. The deficiency syndromes have a complicated inner law, and qi deficiency of the lung and kidney is the common one.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the air pollution level and the distribution regularity of air pollutants in Jilin City. Methods Based on the data from air quality automatic monitoring system in environmental protection station in Jilin City from 2001 to 2005, the concentration change of the inhalable particulate matter (PM10), SO2, NO2 and TSP in the air were analyzed with hour, season and year in different functional areas. Results The concentration of SO2, NO2 in atmosphere in winter and summer showed a daily changing with a bimodal curve, which appeared a high value section at 19:00—21:00 and 7:00—8:00. The highest concentration of pollutants appeared in winter, the lowest one in summer. The daily average concentration range of SO2, NO2 and TSP was 0.021-0.045, 0.027-0.046 and 0.300-0.470 mg/m3 respectively from 2001 to 2005 with a descending trend by years. As for the space distribution, the pollution in the industry area was the heaviest. Conclusion The air pollution type in Jilin City is still a coal-burning pollution, the concentration of air pollutants distributes differently with time and space.
