ABSTRACT

A rapid detection method for dyeing wastewater by snapshot imaging spectrometer was developed. The simulated dyeing wastewater solution of a single component and mixed components was prepared and the experimental conditions were optimized. The white LED array was used as the detection light source and the image of the sample was collected by the imaging spectrometer developed in the laboratory to obtain the spectral information of the sample in the range of 400-800 nm. The standard curve between the absorbance and the concentration of the samples was established. The linear range of a single component of Rhodamine B or Orange G was 1-50 mg / L, the linear correlation coefficients was more than 0. 99, the recoveries were 93% -114% and the relative standard deviations ( RSD) were 7. 5% and 1. 3% . The correlation coefficients between predicted concentration and reference concentration reached 0. 999 in the detection of mixed component by using the multiple linear regression model, and the relative errors of 3 predicted samples were reduced. The rapid, accurate and precise method showed an excellent promise for on-site and emergency detection of dyeing wastewater.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a new method for the determination of chromium (Ⅵ) in printing and dyeing wastewater. Methods A combined technique was employed for the determination of chromium (Ⅵ) by flow injection on-line separation and preconcentration on a micro column packed with alumina(acidic form) and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES).The effect of acidity, concentration of eluent and coexistence ion on separation and enrichment was detected. Results The detection limit was 0.72 ?g/L.The LOQ was 2.38 ?g/L.RSDs were 1.45%~2.12%.The recovery rates were 96.0%-104.0%.The concentration enhancement of chromium (Ⅵ) was 10 times for 45 s sample loading.Analytic frequency was 33 samples one hour. Conclusion This method is sensitive, rapid and applicable to the determination of chromium (Ⅵ) in dyeing wastewater.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the adsorption performance of chitosan in printing and dyeing wastewater treatment. Methods The influence factors such as chitosan concentrations(0-500 mg/L),pH value(1-13),temperatures(20-50 ℃)and time(0.5-2.5 h) were considered in the test. Results When the concentration of chitosan was 200 mg/L,pH value was 2-5,time was 0.5 h and at the room temperature, the absorption could show a good result. The deeolorizing rate could reach above 90%.Conclusion The chitosan concentrations,pH value, time and temperature affect the adsorption performance of chitosan in printing and dyeing wastewater treatment.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to investigate the efficiency of Fenton's reagent (hydrogen peroxide + Ferrousion (Fe+2)) in removing the color and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) of a reactive dye wastewater. The textile dyeing wastewater was treated in a continuous reactor. The results showed that the best pH value for Fenton's treatment process was 4 and the optimal contact time for slow mixing was 20 minutes. The average percent color and COD removal efficiency was about 90% and 65%, respectively. Characteristics of wastewater such as contamination with oil makes decolorization, the removal of red color, difficult.

ABSTRACT

A laboratory scale combination process of anaerobic baffled reactor(ABR) with sequencing batch reactor(SBR) for treatment of real dyeing wastewater was studied. The effects of operational conditions were investigated. The results demonstrated that removal rates of COD,colour and aniline were 32%~95%,89%~99% and 50%~98%,respectively,the effluents of COD were 30.0 ~97.1mg/L,colour were 8 ~40 times dilution ratio, concentration of aniline were 0.20 ~0.95 mg/L,which could meet the National Discharge Criteria(GradeⅠ) under the operational conditions of HRTs of 24~36 h,organic loading rates of 0.43 ~2.46 kg COD/(m~(3)?d),the influent pH values of 6.5~8.0,ambient temperatures of 20℃~35℃ at the ABR stage and DOs of 2 mg/L,reaction times of 3~10h,settle times of 2 h at the SBR stage.

ABSTRACT

Spreaded and immobilized the bacterial cells entraped in PVA on pieces of cotton cloth as porous carrier. The conditions for preparing immobilized cells were as below: cell concentration, 20 mg wet weight/ml; PVA concentration, 5%; spreading amount, 0.3ml/cm~2; immobilization for 12 hours in saturated boron acid solution. Then activated the immobilized cells in buffer containing dyes. Thus, immobilized cells with high decolorizing activity were obtained. In columns packed with immobilized cells, the decolorization efficiencies of continuous influent and intermissional influent were compared with each other. In twenty days, the decolorization rates were both higher than 90%; then the decolorization rate of continuous influent decreased to about 60% after 60 days while it still reached 80% in case of intermissional influent. The efficiency of the later was distinct higher than that of the former.

ABSTRACT

In order to explore the effects of printing and dyeing wastewater untreated and treated by bacterial biotechnological method on the specific immune response of Carassius auratus, the tested fish were preimmunized intraperitoneally with Aeromonas hydrophila vaccine then were separately placed into control clean water, untreated printing and dyeing wastewater (dilution ratio 13%,pH=7) and treated water 5 fish of every group were killed on the day 2,4,6,8,10,14,18,25,35 th to detect their immune indexes The results indicated that total leucocytic numbers of blood and serum lysozyme level in fish of clean water and treated water increased rapidly and reached their peaks on the day 8th and 6th respectively after vaccination, then reduced to baseline and maintatined for a period of time Leucocytic numbers in fish in untreated wastewater group decreased on day 2nd then increased gradully to normal, serum lysozyme level in this group had decreasing tendency and was lower than the other 2 groups from beginning to end However titer of anti A hydrophila antibody in serum of untreated water group was only lower than that of treated water group on the day 6th when it appeared After this antibody titers of these 3 groups had no significant defference It indicated that printing and dyeing wastewater inhibited immune response of Carassius auratus ,but water treated by bacterial biotechnological method had no this kind of toxic effect
